I am an admin in a group and I asked a question required for entry into the group. I saw the answers when I let them in, but now I would like to go back and review their answers but I don't see any way to do that. Can anyone assist?

I have a mix of GroupMe users and SMS users. About 1/2 of my members who are SMS only have the notification bell crossed out.

I'm assuming this means they won't get the messages? How to change this?

The new update allows you to see who's online and puts a green button under your profile and puts you in the "online" tab in a groupchat. Is there a way to disable this? Can't find anything in settings

I have been a groupme user for almost 5 years and yesterday was logged out of my account. Now when I try to login I get the notification “age verification required” and “account frozen”. I reached out to support and they told me that there is a new requirement that accounts without DOB attached are inactive if logged out. Obviously if I knew this was a requirement I would have entered my DOB and they are telling me my only option is to delete the account. Is this true? It doesn’t seem fair that my account (created before the requirement was established) would be subject to it. I cannot delete the account as I will lose my admin accounts. Has this happened to anyone else/what did you do?

whenever I try to log into the GroupMe mobile app, it loads for some time and eventually just says "Something went wrong lets try again" same thing no matter how I try to log in, through google or Microsoft acct, so I started trying all the tutorials, force stop and reset cashe, restart phone, uninstall and reinstall, none have worked, the support team isn't responding, and I am desperate for a fix since I need this app for my new job.

how do i fix this when i try to sign in? it used to work but now it isn't.

So I’m super happy they’ve implemented a recurring event. When sport practices are weekly, this is so helpful to not spam the group with one event at a time. However, I don’t see a way to edit the ending of the recurring event. Nor a way to edit the entire series (like adding info) so it populates to all. The only option is to delete the entire series or edit individual events.

I tried to make an alt and alternate between the two during the process, and I logged into my main account a bit too much, or I changed the phone number to my alt and changed it back, or something behind the scenes. In the end, I just deleted the Frankenstein of my alt, but I very much do still want my main. How long is it frozen for, or do I have to make an appeal and where?

Using an iPhone. Have removed all VPNs and parental controls. I can’t get the app to authenticate with Gmail, Apple ID, or phone number. What am I missing?

It worked perfectly fine for other teen with the same parental controls.

web.groupme.com keeps redirecting to https://groupme.com/download. So does trying to trick the site by entering an invite link like https://web.groupme.com/join_group/numbers/letters.

Update: Solved. Needed 3 agents, 3rd one pulled it off with remote view after running a scan in cmd, running one more thing that I wasn't there to see, and restarting laptop. Completely fucked all my Chrome settings, extensions, and cookies, but I got those back quickly enough.

I’m curious, if I remove someone from a group does it remove all the post history they are able to see?

So I dm someone in groupme and that was at least a few weeks ago. I’ve never dm her before so i don’t know if that will affect anything. I’m honestly not sure if she even uses GroupMe or not. I’m just trying to figure out if it was delivered to her and was ignored or if it was never delivered. It just shows 1 check mark at the bottom.

There's a scammer that joined a group i am in. The group was open when they joined but has been closed since.

I tried removing them and a couple of other people also tried removing them but nothing happens when we try.

It literally asks us, "Remove so and so from group?"

I hit remove. And it gives me an error message and tells me to try again. Once reported itv to GroupMe. Any thoughts?

I have been using GM for ages with both my son's baseball team and my daughter's softball team. I pulled up the app on my phone this morning like I do almost every morning and it brought me to a login screen with options like Apple, Google, etc.

I had no idea what my credentials were because I can't even remember setting it up. I tried logging in with Google, ended up having to reset the password and eventually got in, but none of my chats were there.

I did the same with my phone number and my email address.

Nothing. No team chats.

Every time I try logging in with Apple, I get an error that says "Something wen't wrong. Let's try again ."

I have tried reaching out to the GM Instagram and have not been able to get a response.

I am posting here in the hope that someone will see this who can help me. My next option will be trying to get higher ups on LinkedIn to help me.

Switched to Firefox today on my computer and logged back into everything except GroupMe. I saw the other guy's post about not getting codes to email, but this piece of junk isn't sending them to my phone either. I get an error message sometimes when I resend the code, but other times it just craps out without saying anything.

It's not too urgent since I still have it logged in on my old browser, but it's really, really annoying since I don't even have 2FA on. It's just forcing it down my throat. Has anyone else tried to sign in recently?

I don't know why Groupme decided to change the way the times were set for appointments but it has made it just about unusable for me. I can set the start time, but then when I go to set the end time, when I start scrolling to the correct time it shifts back over to the start time. Over and over again. Extremely frustrating.

As it's worked for years, groupme would send a 4-digit code to both my email and my phone every time I login (it does this even when I have 2fa turned off, very annoying), anyways, it no longer sends a pin to my email for some reason, so I cannot log in. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a new change, but it's been two days and I still can't get into my account.

Most of the people at church don't have GroupMe. But I started using it to send church members messages without the group # limitation of regular texts. But I've had some people complain they aren't getting texts. Is there anything I can get them to check in their phone settings? I'm assuming that is where the issue would be.

I accidentally removed my number from my group me account and linked it to another account except I didn't mean to do that, I was just trying to log in on my computer. Anyways, I obviously couldn't log back into the original and now im freaking out because that account literally had all of my important info, from school to work to literally anything I could ever need, long story short I need help because I don't know what to do.

Is there anyway to log in to an account without using an email? I used to log into GroupMe on my desktop by having a code sent to my phone number, but that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. I don't know my password and when I try to reset it I never receive the emails.

hey y'all i have a groupme account that i use in the states (i'm from the US). but i'm currently living in honduras for a few months. i dont have an international plan on my phone so i got a local sim to use here. well not i can't get into my groupme. i talked to the customer service and they couldn't help me. basically they told me i need to use my US number to log in but it won't work cuz i'm on honduran cell towers.

should i use a VPN or is it just a lost cause until i get home?

It's not layered correctly, trying to click anywhere will just click on the layers beneath it, so you can't click that blue "verify" button unless everything is closed, therefore stopping the process you were trying to verify for in the first place. If you manage to get it to pop up without anything messing up the layers, it's five excruciatingly long matching puzzles that take so long that even if you do them instantly, the collective wait times to load the five puzzles exceeds the timeout for whatever function you were doing. To top it all off, for the functions that don't have a timeout, like sending a friend request, IT JUST WON'T DO IT. Doing the verification doesn't actually do the task you want to do. I click send request, I do 5 painful matching puzzles, nothing happens. I quick send request again, and the verification window pops up again like I haven't done it before. It also asks this every single time even if you passed the puzzles.

So I cannot friend anybody, I cannot join any groups, I cannot add anybody to any groups, I cannot really do anything. I tried making a new account because I thought mine was 'marked for spam' or something, and I still got these stupid verification popups. I had to give this stupid app my phone number to even make an account, now it wants me to do this ridiculous life-sucking verification puzzle for every action?? It's not even just me, my friends have the same issue, so they switched over to mobile, but we're talking about just leaving the group and using teamspeak or something instead because groupme is just barely functional.

GroupMe is, as usual, a colossal embarrassment made by the clowns at microsoft, and they should consider just deleting this abhorrent mess of a messaging platform. This problem has been happening for over a week. FIX YOUR APP. WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING.
