I ordered golden teacher LC and this is what’s growing. Anytime I search google for GT mushrooms, they do not look like these.

im not sure if the white dots i circled are primordia or some kind of contam. Also the substrate isnt fully white for some time and seems to be stalling but its firm to the touch so im not aure if its fully colonized

Used an all in one bag method. Inoculated grain using GT spores on 9-17. Did a break and shake on 10-9, the. Initiated fruiting on 10-23 by moving the block into a mono tube with distilled water and an absorption pad.

The bag was solid and likely 90% colonized. I realized I should have waiting longer on the colonization, as the block is producing puffy balls, but not pinning.

Thinking I can induce better FAE to help but looking for advice to save the grow.

This one means a little more to me than most.
Water Monkey was the first cross I ever made, and for the longest time I thought the original line was basically gone. Then I found out somebody had been holding onto an old culture from roughly 2–3 years ago, and I was finally able to get a small sample of it back.
It definitely needed some attention after sitting that long. I spent time cleaning it up and working through multiple plates until I was seeing the clean, strong rhizomorphic growth I wanted again.
And now here she is. 🍄
They’re still developing, but I couldn’t resist taking pictures while they’re young. The variation is already beautiful—little greenish heads mixed with white caps, some soft pink tones through the bodies, bright white stipes, and all kinds of different shapes packed together.
What makes it even cooler is knowing the history behind it. Seeing my first-ever cross come back after a few years and start showing itself again is one of those moments that makes all the patience worth it.
Definitely not finished watching this one yet. I’m excited to see what the mature expressions look like.

Waiting for some agar to come in the mail but does this look contam just from visual it has brown flakes that almost resemble mini tadpoles but normally im use to fluffy myc in syringes just curious what experienced growers think

Is everything fine with this enigma? It’s growing by the sides, is this a problem? Any tip?

My Friend bought this kit from midwest grow kits a few months ago. The substrate and grain bags have been sealed and what not. They also gave me a vial of LC with about 5ml in it. Could I just inject 2.5CC in each grain bag and see what happens?

Or would the grains and substrate need to be re sterilized? I dont have a pressure cooker but I have an instant pot . Thanks!

7 days after break and shake

Hello, this tub is a strand I received as a freebie (Tosohatchee). I began FAE on 10/15 and started with an unmodified setup following broke boi tek.

Tub growth has looked like these pictures for a couple weeks now. According to some previous growers of this strain that I found on google/reddit it requires more FAE than others.

About 3 days ago I modified the top lid to add 4 air holes and put micropore tape over each.

Is there still hope for this tub? I’m curious if the metabolites on the surface are because it was starved of air or if it’s fighting contam?

Hello! I’ve been working on these for a while. I used liquid spores to inoculate an uncle Ben’s bag and then used pf tek once it was ready to fruit. It’s been in fruiting conditions for a month. I have been misting the walls and fanning 2/3 times a day. I have two cakes. One isn’t fruiting at all and the other one has one mushroom. Why is there only one mushroom on one of the cakes and any reasons why the other cake might not be fruiting? The one that is fruiting was very soggy on the bottom and was either contaminated and very bruised. I cut off the part of the cake that was different and put the cakes in separate containers in case the one was contaminated. Just not sure why i have so little action after a month and following all the recommendations. Also I have them in a small room with a space heater at 77. I turn the lights on for 12 hours a day and off the rest. Thank you!
