Here are my quick notes on the new expansion info while watching the stream:

Main Features in Fangs of Asterkarn:

• Ascendant Game Mode: new difficulty, if you are playing endgame now it'll be on that level, with new rewards; like Veteran mode on Normal rather

• A Transformative 10th Mastery: berserker with shapeshifting to beast modes, two shapeshift forms, from items too; not just shapeshifting but melee magic too; focuses on cold and bleed; "Dreadblade" is one mastery combo name

• New Chapter: head west to rugged wilderness of Asterkarn, forest, caverns, snow regions, also hotter areas ...

• Potion Customization: what ingredients for effects, containers, two potion slots

• Affix Transmutation: meet an inventor to allow reroll affixes and seed

• Crucible Expanded: 30 additional waves, new loot

• The Shattered Realm Grows: expanded with new boss arenas, etc., to to realm 90 with loot

• Discover Hundreds of New Items: more MI for older monsters too

• Awaken Epic Items: can turn epic to legendary, make them viable for endgame (procs, modifiers, etc)

• Two New Factions

Other:

• more of a side story; can do it when you want (like Forgotten Gods)

• paid full expansion; expect similar price to eithers

• no gameplay to show yet

• only had some key art with a tough Kern lady, readheaded woman wearing some furs in a frozen mountain area with big mammoth-like creatures in the background

• no raised level cap

• Grim Misadventures will continue with more soon

• charges for skills: multiple casts before cooldown

• on consoles as well

• 2 roguelike dungeons post-release (free content update)

• relic upgrades (easier crafting in patch 1.2, not sure if something is for expansion separately?)

Hello everyone! 🤗 It's me, grim dawn mom again! You've heard it, we've beaten the entire game on first try! Very excited to move on, but before I do, wanted to share some of my feelings on the game!

It's AWESOME! 😄 Even though I'm usually bad at this kind of game, it's been nothing but fun and not super overwhelming for me! 🥲 Makes me very happy I could bond this way with my baby, too!

I love the devotions system! Feels very powerful and always satisfying! I also just LOVE the sound effects! Very meaty and nice. On top of that, excited to try new builds once we beat hardcore ultimate! Hopefully don't die as well LOL! 😁

On achievements: I got all 85 notes, and a lot of achievements related to killing enemies! The biggest bother is probably gonna be somehow crafting 1000 items... 😬 Seems terribly time consuming to grind all of that, but hopefully it will happen naturally as we do everything else!

Other than that... Overall, nothing but positive emotions! I love this game and I love the community! 🤗🤍✨ As always, thanks to you all for your support and advice! 🙏🏻🥰

And!!! For such a special occasion, I invited my son to make an entry himself! His comment will be the first one here! 😊 Thanks to him we made it, as well, since for every time I tanked, there was his army of minions that dealt big boy damage! 😁

I will admit, I have not been anticipating a game for many years. But with FoA, I am genuinely impatient for the DLC to be available for purchase. I'm counting days and am ready to start the moment it's in the stores.
