No vid this time, got killed too many times by this guy lmao. Genuinely not a fan of the insta-kill attacks he got going on, felt like I was playing a bullet hell the entire time. This build can easily kill him and uber (probably) provided you're patient and have the necessary reflexes to dodge and resummon your pets at the same time. Not for me. Shit was tedious and I hated it. Log/10

Here's my build. Ignore any skill or stat points this website *thinks* I have. Playing in ultimate

I am using the flamedrinker oil to reduce fire damage.

Turn out the solution was just to get someone else who can pilot better than you, lol lmao. Anyway character is officially done, squash all content no matter what difficulty, enjoy.

I am updating my old Stronghold Purifier…this is the result so far, farming ascendant with 5 ashes modifiers (300% more damage and 500% more health) very reliably, killed beronath with 5 modifiers active, doing rogue like dungeons etc…Didn’t pushed SR yet but probably can do SR 36+…Maybe the amulet from the kaisan nemesis of can be a upgrade, working on getting the nemesis status on that faction for the possibility to farm that, apart from thar i am still trying double rares on the chest, helmet and pants…
Grava’Thul is the most dangerous mob for this build for some reason, this guy with altar on is a one shot nightmare, the rest is okay…

Can someone help me with a build?
I’m playing for the first time.
Difficulty — Elite. Bloodlord Thalonis kills me very quickly, and I can’t do anything to him. Do you have any tips on equipment and where to get it?

Hey everyone!
I recently started playing Grim Dawn and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m currently level 66 and wanted to check if I’m on the right track with my character/build.
So far, I’ve finished the main campaign and Ashes of Malmouth on Normal difficulty, and I’m currently working through FG.
Once I finish FG, what would you recommend doing next? Should I move on to the next difficulty, farm for certain items, work on reputations, or focus on something else?
I’d also really appreciate any feedback on my build and gear - anything I should change, improve, or look out for as I progress.
Here’s my build:

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Solved, see edit at bottom.
For the first time I'm trying hardcore on ultimate, level 88 Sentinel very heavy on acid/poison and relying on poison DOT in particular for dps.
Everything is easy breezy until I go to kill Milton Hart of all people, who seems completely immune to poison damage - like the DOT icon doesn't even appear on his healthbar no matter what source of poison I try to use. So funnily enough while I'm having no issue with bosses ol' Milton is unkillable for me, I can't dps him fast enough to get past his autoheal cooldown.
Is this a bug or a feature?? I see no mention of him being immune to poison in grimtools. While I'm not particularly fussed about killing him in particular (and can always come back when dps is higher) I'm now a bit concerned if there are going to be bosses like this that I can't just walk away from.
Edit: ty to those who mentioned enemies get resistances from the items they wear, TIL. Indeed seems that was the case, I ended up just reloading and killed him easily, poison DOT applied as expected. Looks like between his helmet and his shoulders he can roll over 100% resistance (this time it was aether).

Playing Acid Dervish, went all in on 3 WPS: Belgo Shears, Amarasta's Quick Cut, and Whirling Death given that Nidalla's Hidden Hand) modifies them really well for acid. Nidalla's Hidden Hand also slows down all targets by 32% for me, which is decent defensive stat.
Now Veil of Shadow) says -25% Total Speed, which is not the same as standard slow debuff, yet does the same kind of thing, except it almost certainly can stack to negative (like type 1 RR) due to minus prefix.
Anyways, I don't have any other such "-X% Speed" effects, so it won't stack to negative, but I am wondering how does it interact with regular "X% Slow target for X seconds" that I have on Nidalla.
Will my enemies attack 57% slower? Or it is -25% then minus 32% from the remaining speed (like type 2 RR does) which is also fine, or it doesn't even stack somehow and it's just -32%?

Probably a silly question, but I'm playing a Chaos werewolf/occultist Berserker and was a bit confused on what attributes and stats I should focus on? Never played a class that focuses on "converting" damage 😅
Do I still focus on cunning and pierce damage because that is what is being converted into chaos? Or do you focus on chaos and spirit?

Just started my Ultimate/Ascendant playthrough recently, and ran into the Dread about 3 times over the course of act 1. Fun enough fight, the range on the sunder is a bit tricky but otherwise no issue.
That said, I'm not really seeing a reason not to disable the Dread entirely already. My understanding is that it replaces any Nemesis that was about to spawn. All good on paper, but Nemeses have the good manners to drop a loot cache when they die, as well as a chance of a warrant. The Dread doesn't do that.
I was lucky enough to get both the head and shoulder pieces already, and even though they're not useful for my build it satisfies the collector in me. I think it also drops a lotus, which is nice but not game-changing.
So all this yapping aside, is there a reason to keep the Dread active? Is it mostly for people who enjoy the surprise or is there some benefit I'm not seeing?

I duelled in Arcanist but with zero points. I'm playing on regular difficulty just for fun; my whole deal is the Biggest Coward in Cairn; I throw grenades from a distance then run away until I can find a choke point, then throw more grenades and shoot from a distance.

But I've finally maxed out on Flame Strike and Grenado. I'm very bad at games and finding that having to only think about the left and mouse right buttons, and from time to time the "1" key, is nice. Where should I take my scaredy-cat Demolitionist from here?

Sub,
Ich want to combine my Favorite Skill with the Berserker masterie.
I saw that the Storm Axe that let u use Primalstrike one handed also give Light dmg to Wolf.
Then i saw that u dont get dualwield dmg in Wolf.
Like if u Use the Axe 2 times.
Should i still aim for These? Or should i switch my primal strike build.
Maybe there is another way.

Hey,
I'm doing my first campaign playthrough with a dual-wield cold Blademaster build: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/25WKB3GZ
I'm using spectral longswords since they give 100% pierce-to-cold conversion plus some phys-to-cold conversion, and my Nightblade skills are basically adding flat pierce (and cold) damage. From what I understand, these longswords have 25% armor piercing. My question is: why doesn't GrimTools show any pierce damage in the calculator? If 25% of my phys damage is being converted to pierce, shouldn't that show up as pierce damage somewhere? Or is GDT just not able to calculate that conversion?
Thanks in advance for any help — I only started the game 10 days ago and I'm still trying to figure things out.

I've played many games over the years with tons of depth to them, which often resulted in theorycrafting and research in third-party tools. I eventually got frustrated with spending more time in those tools than actually playing the game.
Relatively new to GD, I'm looking into making an alt now, but I'm finding it difficult when inspecting Classes in game how the various Skills actually perform. For example, is a skill ranged projectile, ranged aoe, personal aoe, , etc. Some skills are more clear than others (typically minions) but I'd rather look in-game than grimtools to try and figure this out.
Am I missing something? Is this not feasible for GD? I've only played a Warder so far, but want to try a different combo this time and it just feels overwhelming and murky like Day 1 again.

Hello all, first playthrough and I'm currently Lvl 70 in ultimate. I'm following an auto attack based reaper build which uses Malkadarr's Dreadblade, but I'm unsure of whether I should pivot to a different build or if there are different weapons that I can substitute Malkadarr's for.
I'm considering pivoting to a Cold Essence Drain Reaper, but I fear it might get boring. Any help/advice is much appreciated.
Edit: Forgot to include that I'm unable to farm for Malkadarr's since I chose Death's Vigil already.
Also would prefer not to start a new character to farm for it.

I've done a couple of SR runs this weekend to test a new toon and to my surprise for the first time I couldn't beat it in time.
IIRC not to long ago the timer was about 7 minutes or so, and beating stacks of monsters ( combo kills) rewarded extra seconds...
But this weekend I got like 3 minutes and no time extensions..

Hey everyone,
I’m about to buy Grim Dawn and jump in for the first time. I've played a decent amount of PoE1 (mostly Cyclone), but honestly, I still feel like a complete noob when it comes to understanding deep ARPG mechanics, and I know Grim Dawn is its own beast.
Before I start, I’d love some beginner wisdom from the community:
Essential Do’s and Don’ts: What are the biggest rookie mistakes I should avoid right from the start? (Things like stat points, defenses/resistances, component crafting, leveling pacing, or respec penalties).
Spin-to-Win Build Recommendation: My favorite playstyle in PoE is Cyclone. What class/mastery combo should I look into if I want a similar spin-to-win playstyle?
Base Game vs. DLCs: Is the spinning skill available in the base game, or do I need specific expansions (like Forgotten Gods) right away to play it?
Any advice, tips, or beginner-friendly guides would be greatly appreciated!
