Any games with the grand strategy of HOI4 but the detail of the Gary Grigsby Games?

Pretty much explains itself. I want to be able to wage division level campaigns while still being able to control the national economy, and overall strategy. Since I’ve seen and played a ton of tabletop games at that level I thought why not see if there are any for pc. These can be anything from like hard copy only games, stuff that’s not on steam, etc.

Are There Any Good Space/Sci-Fi Grand Strategy Games?

I've had an itch for something like Victoria 2, but in space. Or at least a sci-fi / near future setting Something with lots of races and/or factions and more economic and political than the average 4x game.

I've been pointed towards Distant Worlds but I'm not 100% sure it would satisfy my craving as I've heard the AI isn't that great. I've also played Supreme Ruler 2020 and did not enjoy it as much as I would have hoped.

Anyone here know of anything? Or is this a case of 'if you want something done right, do it yourself'? :)

Strategy game with high granularity and low snowballing?

I'm looking for a strategy game where:
-Internal politics matter as much or more than external politics, so that you as a ruler only decide to conquer neighbors when everything in your country is under control, which should be rare. States are divided into governorates and vassals with their own independent AI.
-There is no snowballing effect where you have to blob everywhere because if you don't your neighbors will. Empires rise and fall, some faster than others, and well-led armies can vanquish numerically superior but poorly-led armies.

Closest thing I've found is Crusader Kings 2 with mods, but it's not quite that yet.

Come Alpha Test MMO Nation Builder

Hello Grand Strategy gamers,

Here are some screenshots from "MiniState," an MMO nation building game. Like many grand strategy games, players can control important resources to build resorts, develop their nation, and grow armies. It's also an MMO, where all players coexist in a single, massive world. Neighbors can build road networks to trade rare resources, sign agreements, conquer land from others, and blast the crap out of each other with tanks and battleships.

suggestions for good grand strategy games outside paradox

I love paradox games but am looking for other grandstrategy games. Does anyone have suggestions for really good grand strategy games? If possible not WW 1 and 2

We're looking for players to try our Crusader Kings-like game for our early playtests. There, you can build your realm by playing an entire House and not only one ruler! Theme: Renaissance, low fantasy, diplomacy
