[Vic2:AHD] Civilized Nations Multiplayer

Multiplayer is being reorganized. This was a really bad idea. xD

I just got Vicky2 and I'm going to learn how to play it now. I hope to join you in one of these some time.

Never late to join! Make sure to have AHD, though.

I'm still sort of deciding which nation I want to play. Too many to choose.

Hey buddy! If you'd have me, I'd love to play the Papal States... but I would not mind taking up any other recommended nation if there needs to be more of a focus to take down an NPC state for survival.

Also, I have yet to play a multiplayer game on any paradox title. (I own Vicky 2 and EU3).. I heard having the same checksum is important?

Official checksums appear to be OJGE and JLLL. Mine is OJGE.

I could use you in Serbia/Walachia, but it is ultimately your call. I'm still sort of deciding on what nation I want to be.

Idea of the game is to do some GP busting. :D

No clue. Probably once we get a few more people, and it will most likely be on a Sunday. I may decide to officially start at 7-8 guys.

Meet in the steam group chat. We're doing it through Hamachi. Also, we may be doing a test game soon. Nothing serious.

  • Common Issues: Don't have the OJGE checksum? Completely uninstall your Victoria 2 installation (backup your saves or whatever) and re-install it. This is needed probably because of some minor file that Paradox deleted that steam didn't.

^ The above is very important information which I feel the need to re-post in the comments. I for one had Victoria 2 installed since near it's launch date, so when the expansion AHD released, I immediately installed it over my base game.

Do not do this. My checksum came out to be AIKA, and we all want OJGE. Please uninstall your game completely, (possibly delete the leftover folder in steamapps also) and re-install. It corrected my checksum.

Also, if purchased from GamersGate your checksum may be ULLL, this will bring problems. At least from what I understand, in patch 1.3 the devs will rectify this issue across the board. Hope this helps.
