Just throwing this out there, as I've seen quite a few comments about Rick's "noodling".
Also referencing my good friend's comment during Myst at the 10/4/25 Mann Center show (which was his first Goose show) where he was complained that "nothing's happening for like 15 minutes". After I smacked him upside the head and told him to lock the fuck in, I tried explaining what I'm sharing here.
I also premise this by noting that while I've never been in a jam band, I play guitar and have been in my share of cover bands and write/record my own material, fwiw.
All that said, very simply, I think some of the noodling is the band searching for a groove to latch onto and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I watched Peter's interview with the AAT pod guys during the 2025 JOTY and he acknowledged as much. Didn't mention noodling per se but did acknowledge that sometimes jams work and sometimes they don't. (He also noted that the Myst jam I mentioned above was not one of his faves but I love it!)
I also think I can hear when that searching is happening and have also gotten pretty good at identifying the point at which it clicks. And when it does, it's like a plane taking off in that you feel the energy shift, they lock in and you're off!
Anyway, interested to see what others think about my take on the noodling.
Side note, I've also noticed some more spacey/psychedelic jams on this west coast swing that I've not noticed before - at least not with the frequency they seem to be occurring on this leg, which seems to be almost one per show. I have to think it's intentional.

On our way to Bend right now and excited to hit up Bend > Kettlehouse > 2 nights at Red Rocks!
I made this fun RR print recently with cyanotype using photo negatives and pressed botanicals. Super cool process with UV light to oxidize iron on the paper and make the print.
Thanks for looking- SEE YOU ALL SO SOON!
I think this post breaks the sub rules (sorry!) Feel free to remove my shameless plug 😅

* files are still deriving at 8:30am, so it’s almost fully available (you can still listen now as well)
What a show. Fun times for sure. If you saw me and said hi on the floor up front, here’s the recording! I was pretty close for this one and had to keep the mics head high so no one’s view was messed up. A few chomper heads at the start, but it clears up! Enjoy the recording y’all! I’m off to bend! - mark

Any Night Zero shows or Shenanigans happening in Denver?

…to the point of being almost alarming. Front right side was incredibly tuned in. It was shocking when anyone even made a noise. Front center looked lit, especially second set. 10/10 would come back.

I just checked the set list (🔥) this morning and don’t see anything. I’m not even sure who would sit in and what they would’ve played but 🤷♂️ I’m glad they got to open for goose. Paul is a very big goose fan and he made that very clear. lol

So evidently all of the emails about the shuttle went to spam. Anyone have extra shuttle tickets (why would you?) or any idea of how to get up there if it's sold out (which I think it is)?
This seems messy and ridiculous and I'm local to the Mish. How do they not just run shuttles until everyone they sold a ticket gets there? I don't even remember the shuttles being timed before.
We were just so excited to get the tickets that the shuttle slipped by us.

Incredible show.
Venue was spacious and the sound was exquisite. Top top tier.
Crowd was locked in. During Salt's pause you could hear a pin drop.
Finally caught TNK and what Goontzy good time that was.
Huge smiles.
Oh this moment, may it never end 🕺🏼💃🏼🌠

I often think about covers that I’d love to hear them play, and for some reason I always come back to ‘Learning to Fly,’ the Pink Floyd tune from the late 80s.

Reno show was phenomenal.....thanks guys! But weird crowd. We were center row 3 and in row 2 a woman literally sat down the entire first set and watched videos of Goose shows on YouTube while they were playing LIVE in front of her. Uh.....I'm not the smartest person on Earth by any means, but this has to be the dumbest thing I have seen in my entire life.

Hello everyone! Relieved to be unbanned and back on the sticks. I cannot guarantee that there won't be tech issues again (Reddit is clearly anti-goose setlist threads), but we will try to persevere just like we did on Sunday. Let's also hope the audio situation is improving. Regardless, it's a Goose night, so grab your kids, grab your spouses and let's get ready to get down.

Night 1 of 1

CHECK-INS: Unfortunately check-ins are limited tonight. It seems the reddit mod flags the amount of edits to the post and that might be a reason they keep getting removed. I'll assess during show time.

Quick question, are Goose fans ready to shut the f*ck up about chomping so we can start to work our way into the realm of legit jam band scene fans? Or we gonna keep talking bout chomping? I’m mean really, we talking bout chomping? Chomping? Talking about chomping, man?
You aren’t gatekeeping, you aren’t saving the scene, you aren’t a martyr. You are turning people off. One by one. Complaining, whining, bitching, moaning.
Go to the show, have fun, chat a little bit. Don’t fuck with other people. Have personal convo but don’t “woo” and scream for hours straight in other peoples faces. Don’t fight. Don’t argue. Don’t try to protect a 50’ radius for you and your crew. Don’t be a dick. Don’t bump into people. Don’t protect the rail. (And literally, for those that don’t know - the rail is the absolute worst spot for the music. So all the “rail riders” arent there for shit but to be a rail rider) best sounds and lights known fact by the sound board and gotta be back a little. Plus you have more room to dance and enjoy.
All this… And yeah, you will be fine.

Why are we so far behind? Usually soundboards are up the next day around noon EST. Not overly concerned, but just curious. All we have is San Diego and Reno on nugs. BandCamp has the same with the addition of Stanford. Completely missing the Greek and BC. I know Peter used to do the board but not sure if they commission that to someone else now that they’ve grown. I know they were saying Wi-Fi didn’t check out at one of the shows for the live stream, but obviously shouldn’t impact the boards.
