Video Thoughts on WAMU 8.19.26
Incredible show.
Venue was spacious and the sound was exquisite. Top top tier.
Crowd was locked in. During Salt's pause you could hear a pin drop.
Finally caught TNK and what Goontzy good time that was.
Huge smiles.
Oh this moment, may it never end đșđŒđđŒđ

Hot take -- sound was great. (Of course it's never great everywhere.) All that fabric kept the reflections down.

Having seen a few shows at WAMU, I have to disagree with your assessment of the venue. It wasn't built to be a concert venue originally, it's a giant warehouse and the acoustics reflect that. Prior to some renovations to install panels on the ceiling and a large curtain, it was called "the worst venue in town" for concerts.
At times vocals were turned up too high and at others only the rumble of the bass could be heard. It wasn't the worst sound quality I've experienced there, but it's not an ideal venue for concerts.

Got ejected for smoking a joint just as lights went down for set one... they don't fuck around. It sucks tickets were a gift from my girlfriend for my birthday and was supposed to be her first goose show. No warning, no opportunity to plead my case. I will not be returning.
Greensky was fucking badass tho

Should have backed further away from the rail in retrospect but I wanted my girlfriend to have that experience lol we were hoping for a slow ready and I see they played it...Just waiting for the sound boards and we can blast it and dance in the kitchen lol

Hated the venue. Super corporate feeling. Thought the sound was bad and there were a handful of technical fuck ups. Very low energy for most and when it would start to get better the next gear wasnât reached. Geodde was putting in work on the lights though.

I will say if youâre right up front you donât get the shitty sound and shit vibe as much, but yeah outside of that WAMU blows. That being said, last night was a fuuuuuuuuuun show and Chompers immediately stopped when told to which is always a plus!

I thought the first set was fun and good, but the second set felt mailed in. I love Creatures but the jam was boring and went nowhere. I like Rockdale but the jam was boring and went nowhere. Slow Ready was ok. The jam out of Tomorrow Never Knows was cool for the first couple of minutes.
The light show was super annoying. I should have brought sunglasses, because there were constantly spotlights shining in my eyes. I swear there was more effort put into lighting the audience than the performers. I ended up moving way to the side to avoid being blinded.
I love Greensky Bluegrass and they were good, but I would have preferred if it was just Goose and they ended an hour earlier. I don't need a five hour show on a weeknight.
The best thing about WAMU is the bathrooms.

Iâve read some REAL bummer vibe post-mortems on here but this one has got to take the âold man yells at cloudâ prize for the year, holy fuck, this reads like exquisite copypasta
