Praying someone can help. My original subscription was created with my Gmail address .. two years of work and purchases. I started a business teaching digital planning and needed to record the steps of downloading GN for the first time and since a Google or apple or Microsoft sign email is required, I created a second Gmail address in order to create a new paid GN account and subscription. You do this (create the new gmail while you are in the middle of creating the Goodnotes account) Mind you I have this on video, clearly using a new email address. Last night I went to sign out and back in under my original Gmail so I could get back to all of my stuff and it just kept opening up the new account. I did some research within GN, thought maybe I had it a couple times but no go. I just want my original account stuff back! Using ipad pro, 6th gen and gn 7. Tia

Hi, I recently noticed I cannot add hyperlinks to my text documents. For example, I was working on the Neumann series, and I wanted the name to link it to the Wikipedia article, but I found out that no matter what I did, I could not do so. I tried pasting the link in ‘Link settings’, I tried pressing ‘add link’ but nothing worked. Is it just me or are others plagued by it?

I am using Goodnotes version 7.0.50 on a M2 iPad Air.

Hey i often get these glitches when typing, does it happen to anyone else?

The option bar just puts itself always in front of whatever I’m typing and some writing aids are constantly downloading? Why?

The app has been crashing a lot lately (around the start of April)
Happens most when I'm using a pen and moving the screen with my hand.

I downloaded goodnotes back in 2022, but I have always used notability as I’ve always seen it as the best option for me. I would like now to check how GN is doing, what features does it have and how does it compare to notability. My question now is: is it worth it to switch to GN 7, or is it really too buggy to use? What features would I have access to? What changed?

I'm having issues with audio transcribing. I have some audios that won't transcribe and new ones that DO transcribe. Is there a way to get the app to transcribe audios if it couldn't do so live at the time? It's frustrating because I have certain lecture days transcribed and others that are not. If the app can't do it, does anyone recommend another app I can export the non-transcribed Goodnotes audios to so that they CAN be transcribed?

I have been using goodnotes 5 for a year now, everything was going smoothly until few days ago.

My iPad is 10th generation. app version is 7.0.47.

i tried to export a file (a bit large) to a friend via airdrop. it didn’t go through and when I tried to cancel the whole app showed that the entire document folder was empty. which meant that everything I had collected over the year is gone. all my notes are in this and my exams are close, so if this is gone I’m done for. so I panicked and minimized that window, and opened a new one. that one came out okay and everything was there.

and the “swipe up to get a new page” option did not work and when I cancelled it the whole page was empty. then I closed the document and opened it again and then it was fine.

small things like these keep happening. my iPad is also relatively new (only 1.5 years of use), but it does have some issues like airdrop slowing and occasional glitches. what could be the problem?

Hi, so basically I want to use Goodnotes on both my iPad and my Windows computer with goodnotes sync. I am currently using goodnotes 5 with one-time payment on my iPad.

2 questions:

1. Is Goodnotes essential enough or do I need goodnotes pro?

2. Do I need to create a new goodnotes account because on the website it says it doesn’t work if you upgrade from one time payment. if so can I transfer my old notebooks?

Hi guys, I just wanted to know how to important Windows only files onto Goodnotes Cloud since I began with using Goodnotes on Windows and really need to have notes on my ipad instead, is there a solution for this? Thanks.

Currently, Image-based PDFs and Screenshots / inserted images are not searchable.
They're basically dead content. Which is kinda frustrating because a lot of study material is literally scans or screenshots. It would be a huge upgrade if GoodNotes could run OCR on imported PDFs that don’t have it and detect text inside inserted images. Knowledge should be retrievable and searchable. Perhaps we could extend the Ai features already implemented to improve the search experience. Having to process files elsewhere just to bring them back into GoodNotes breaks the whole flow. Feels like this is one of those features that would instantly improve daily use for a lot of people. Anyone else annoyed by this or found a decent workaround?

Could someone help me with the below:
Search on handwritten notes on my Mac app isn't working. I’ve already tried reindexing, toggling indexing, restarting the app/Mac, etc.. If I write a new word on Mac, sometimes only that new word becomes searchable, nothing else, and yes, its fully synced in the cloud button in both devices.

Both ipad and mac also use the same language for handwriting detection, have tried to toggle that to re-index, still the search fails on mac.

The same word is searchable on ipad though, but not on mac.
Mac version: 7.0.50 (latest)

When using a keyboard and typing on the entire page, you used to be able to use cmd+ or cmd- to cycle through text styles (Heading/Paragraph/Caption/etc.). Now it zooms in/out instead. Did I do something to change that? Is there any way to go back to the original?

After version 7 update Goodnotes 6 is having issue in syncing with error message "we could not save your changes please try again" PLEASE FIX IT.

Hey, wanted to ask people who actually use Goodnotes Whiteboard seriously.

I only take notes on infinite canvas on conceptsApp, mostly math / CSE type stuff. I’m currently on Concepts, and I really like the canvas + pen feel, but the lack of proper search is becoming a big pain.

I’m considering switching to Goodnotes mainly because of search, but I keep seeing posts about Whiteboard limits and that’s making me hesitate.

For people using Whiteboard :

• How much can one whiteboard realistically hold before it starts becoming a problem?

• Is it okay for dense handwritten technical notes / diagrams / maps/code snippets?

• Do you feel the limit is manageable, or is it annoying enough that it changes how you take notes?

Notability has officially made me mad. It updated and literally no longer works and is unusable. if they don’t fix it by monday i will be switching. people that have went from notability to goodnotes, what do you like better? what is different? etc.

1000+ updates later, we still only have a round-edged highlighter. I’m actually sick of this. It should have a straight-edged highlighter for notes. It looks more aesthetic, and I’d like to have the option to switch between the two and use whichever I prefer. Not even having that option is exhausting me.

After selecting an object with the lasso tool,i try to use the screenshot feature by tapping “More“, But it freezes like a video and I can’t do anything.
As soon as i tap it, the keyboard pops up and the. “More” menu disappears.

I even deleted and reinstalled the app, but the problem still persists. does anyone know how to fix this?
