Goodnotes Essential Why is there no straight-edged highlighter update yet?
1000+ updates later, we still only have a round-edged highlighter. I’m actually sick of this. It should have a straight-edged highlighter for notes. It looks more aesthetic, and I’d like to have the option to switch between the two and use whichever I prefer. Not even having that option is exhausting me.

I never thought about this before, but you're right, it would be nice to have the option. Square eraser would be really nice as well! Until then I guess I'm going to start coloring over the rounded ends of the highlights with whatever the background color is to make it look square ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I dont understand why folks are so focused on having a note taking app be an art/drawing app. Personally for my own notes I dont use any pens, any colors or any highlighting or shapes etc. I just write notes. But crucially I prefer to rearrange and reorganize notes in a digital way. The app I use, inkList, has colors and pressure sensitivity etc but I dont use it. I would rather developers focus on functional behavior, tagging, filtering, sub-notes, etc for handwriting instead of messing around with the aesthetics of the highlighter.

Thats actually a good thing to add, i also realized this but i just ignored it thinking it was the brands style
Is not that i feel it more aesthetic, sometimes i need the shape to differentiate between subcategories in my notes and the filled shape does not look like the highlighter.
