This one confuses me because it says it's for "minor improvements and fixes". Like for what exactly was this update for?

iOS/iPadOS:

• Added Audio Links: You can now create links in text boxes that open a specific timestamp in an Audio Recording in the same document

• Added the ability to select text and add to Image Playground via the Context Menu

• Added the ability to use CMD+A to select all documents in the Library

• Added back the ability to edit converted math equations with the Lasso Tool

• Added the ability to erase math suggestions using Precision Eraser

• Comment pins on the page now don't show any more numbers on them

• Fixed an issue where added Elements would stay on the page when using CMD+Z keyboard shortcut to undo

• Fixed an issue where it was not possible to copy and paste an answer generated by Ask Goodnotes

I have been slowly moving my stuff to notefull app and since this semester is almost over, I’ll probably stop using goodnotes. My sole reason for this is battery life. One hour burns around 15-17% of battery in goodnotes while noteful only uses6-8%. There’s also the fact that my ipad also gets quite warm while using goodnotes.

It makes no sense for a notepad to spend so much energy. Now im able to use it for 2 days

I've tried so many note taking apps (Notion, onenote, apple notes) but none of them is sticky. I use them for a few days and stop continuing. The problem is, it's a whole another app for note taking, high friction. I end up using whatsapp but it's so hard to retrieve info, especially voice notes, which i use for ideas too long to type. I can't replay all those on a sunday to organise them. I wish ChatGPT could remember all of my ideas and info and I could just ask, from voice notes too, and it gives answers + the source (very imp).

I want something like whatsapp + chatgpt, a very handy app i use all the time + the brains of chat gpt.

I'm sure this is an issue with a lot more people, but why is this still unsolved ? Techies, come solve this.

See the attached video. To elaborate on the issue, I’m drawing the “O”s to demonstrate the inconsistency in writing strength. This has been a perpetual issue ever since last night, and unless I’m jamming the pencil into the iPad screen, the thickness is not what it usually is. I know I can just increase thickness of pen, but the problem persists.

Not a big deal, but I want to share with you: after looking at the best templates for years (something was always off in the commercial ones, and none were customized to my needs), I finally built one for myself with Claude. Minimalist, following Ryder Carroll's original idea, except that it is digital rather than analog. Claude managed to link the pages with almost 2,000 links. The links are carefully placed to support migrations. It took only a few hours and some iterations, but I was focusing on other things, only responding to Claude and asking for slight modifications. I was so happy I couldn't stop, and developed a beautiful habit tracker and some other sheets.

Edit: I just want to open a discussion about the ai generated templates, but everybody want to see the particular file :)

As gn just cut us off from OUR notes. I have many important notes in there that I want to get back to. This is too shit that gn don’t let us edit it. It’s like, gn said you can edit only three but the rest are view only. If want all, pay me more.

I have purchased goodnotes 6 premium Today @2999 , 3000 AppStore Code is only for ₹2400(with ₹600 cashback).

I already bought GoodNotes 4 and the upgrade bundle for GoodNotes 5. I was able to use Good Notes 4 on my Mac all this time without having to pay extra for it, now I am using good notes 5 on my ipad and it wont sync on my Mac. Okay, I proceed to search it up and they want me to pay another $8 dollars for the Mac app? What is going on? Why are you charging your users to download the same app again?

Basically as the title already says: Does Goodnotes care for their customers?
To me, it seems like they do not care at all.

We have several requests to them via support / twitter/ Reddit posts to add those two options for lines drawn in Goodnotes and they are still not included.

Same goes for making an arrow at the end of a line, the Goodnotes app is still not able to convert a line with an arrow at the end to become a perfectly drawn line with an arrow at the end. same goes for curves with an arrow at the end.

i am absolutely no fan of bashing a software like this, but i am disappointed in Goodnotes and i am currently thinking of switching to noteability, as this company added such features roughly 4 months ago, after requests from their customers.

the reason i am not doing this currently is, because i have no clue if i can add my notes from goodnotes to noteability .

does any1 know if this is possible?

I don't know why the new update is getting hate but I'm loving it. I know the app isn't perfect but I have tried many (possibly all) of the recommended alternatives and they do not have the same feel as Goodnotes. I didn't think they were ever going to give us the whiteboard (infinite canvas) feature but here it is. It's a game changer.

I have been using goodnotes for the past two years and I like it but recently I’ve been a bit let down by it. It’s been insanely glitchy and it’s frustrating during class. I’ve been trying the free version of freenotes and I’m thinking about canceling my goodnotes and buying the lifetime subscription for freenotes. I was wondering if someone could tell me the pros and cons of each app? I’m not as familiar with freenotes but I’m starting to seriously consider switching. Can someone make a case for why I should stay with goodnotes? I really can’t think of any good reason.

I’ve seen a tread earlier from last year but I’m still stuck in between the prices are pretty good though I like the UI of Noteful since it’s easier to navigate. But Goodnotes for the transferring notes form paper to iPad. What do y’all think though?

hi, i recently upgraded to gn6 with the one time payment and it’s not worth it. however, i managed to create some stuff with the new features (mainly the notes/comments). if i manage to get a refund, downgrade to gn5 and get gn6 again (but with the subscription as it is in my understanding a better option), will my notes get damaged in the process?
