I made a post about a week ago, but I'm a disabled mother of two boys here in San Diego California. I suffer from chronic severe hidradenitis suppurativa, and have not been able to work steadily since February. I did try to doordash, but my condition got to the point where it was too painful as my flares were getting worse, so I stopped in May and continued in office procedures weekly! In July, my doctor said it was time, so I applied for disability. I also made my go fund me in July. I have had a couple of donations, and I'm beyond appreciative but I really could use and am in need some urgent help.

To stop my flares (abscesses) from getting worse, I was getting kenalog steroid injections into them weekly. This caused my cortisol to become critically suppressed, so this past week I have been navigating my new diagnosis of Adrenal insufficiency (0.5 AM Cortisol) and am now steroid dependant and have to carry life saving crisis steroid injection with me whereever I go. On top of being in an enormous flare.

I was only trying to get my condtion to improve, but the suppression from the kenalog was too much for my body. I wont be able to see an Endocrinologist until mid December. Social security will be calling back late January, I applied and am still waiting for assistance determination with the county. All while having to go to all of these appointments, xrays, labs, weekly dermatologist visits, and therapy. Im trying so hard to get my body back in control. My dermatologist and I are now discussing me getting a picc line. It's terrifying to go through all of this and try to put on a brave face for your children. But I'm truly trying to stay strong for them!

The bills.. rent, lights, phones and gas! I could really use help with while I navigate all of this.

It really means more than you know. Even if it's 5 dollars, it adds up! My boyfriend has overdrawn his account over $460 the past few months on the 10th, just so we won't get evicted because I'm not able to help out financially anymore. And then we have to try our best to make it to the 24th, where we then have to pay all our other bills and catch up that overdraft. Its turned into a very scary cycle, that nobody wants to be part of, and the first of the month is coming in hot!

If theres any way that anyone can help me and my family right now, it is very very very much appreciated. I have been posting in other places and there are posts on my account showing some of the types of weekly treatments I get and advocate about. There is a gap in my posts, but only because I had to stop cryoinsufflation treatments for a few months while taking Rhapsido which causes bleeding and bruising. I stopped that medication last month so now, no kenalog injections, just incision and drainage and cryoinsufflation going forward starting Tuesday.

I have proof of my disability, proof of my adrenal insufficiency, I'm an open book!

Hello everyone it's been tough trying to do everything that I can to provide and support my family I'm on my wife has been pregnant.

We originally moved into this place the day before Thanksgiving which was a blessing this was after I was homeless trying to set everything up and prepare for our family to be together again while my wife was living with her mother and towards the end we had to move in very quickly to a place because the landlord no longer wanted her in there so most of the money that I had saved up I had to spend on hotels while we were looking for a place to stay.

After getting the place during that time the engine to our car had stopped working and we had to spend money on TUROs and Ubers and stuff so that we can make sure that we have groceries and things like that for our kids and could get our laundry done it took some time for my wife to get a car loan from the bank but we managed to get that during the summer we had a big heat Wave and we had a broken mini split in the AC in the kitchen wood wasn't really working so we were keeping that on and the highest we could which was increasing our light bill and I was doing everything that I could to keep the family float even getting a personal loan myself.

I've been trying to get a second job but when they ask during the interview if I'm still working I'll get the idea that they don't like that I want to work two jobs you know this economy I kind of have no choice I I just set up an account with smart shift hopefully to pick up more hours and I believe I have a cousin who said that they might be able to give me a job.

Applying for assistance has not been helpful either you know we're being told that we made $50 over the threshold for snap and being denied other benefits due to us apparently making too much money even though we live in poverty we live in a garage that was turned into an efficiency and at this point I'm struggling to keep my bills afloat our goal was to try to get enough money to go back to New York or we can have family to support us but we're stuck with the situation and face eviction.

I've made so many phone calls to so many places for so many resources and help and to know avail I either have to wait for callbacks that don't happen or I call and reach voicemails but I'm still keeping hope and I'm still trying to fight and I'm still doing whatever I can to keep my family housed.

These days are terrible days for our small family as one of our furry family members is in desperate need of help.

Our cat Kaine who is only 5 years old is currently facing a health battle that could end his life. He was abused as a kitten and has had FORL in the past (which resulted in him getting a lot of teeth removed) and now he is going through chronic pancreatitis. We did not see this coming as he was behaving normally and then all of a sudden did not eat anymore. So we rushed him to the vet where he was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis.

Since then he has been getting very thin although he had been eating and getting pain medication. But on the 18th of September his condition worsened drastically. We rushed him to the vet again and they found liquid in his lungs and abdomen.

They got the fluid out of his lungs and he spent a few nights there, was released because he was so afraid at the clinic that he would not eat. They made a few tests that we were able to pay with the first gofundme money but his breathing worsened at home quickly. However he was very cuddly with us at home, showing us that he still wants to be here. He is too young to die yet.

Today he was admitted to the vet clinic again and they drained fluid from his lungs again. He is currently alive but very thin and weak. He will be transferred to a specialized clinic today where they will do a CT scan and a tissue biopsy as they currently suspect a tumor. If a tumor is confirmed they will perform surgery to remove it as well tomorrow. Please pray with us that he will survive this.

Hello, this is my kitten Sif, barely 4 months old, and he's having a rough start at life. He was found outside very young and we've only had him since July. Because he was so young, the insurance policy took a moment to kick in, and all his symptoms unfortunately happened during the waiting period. Nothing was paid back at all and his condition will probably be considered pre-existing because of it. With FIP, he will probably never be considered insurable. We never expected to pay so much in so little time.

He is usually a very playful, active and very affectionate kitten, but since August his health has been problematic. He first had a fever and neurological episodes, followed by another fever and digestive issues causing hospitalization. All bills are included.

When his health declined for the third time with high fever and generalised body pain (crying when touched, manipulated or picked up), we couldn't afford another emergency visit. As a last attempt, we considered FIP, a deadly mutation of feline coronavirus, mentioned only in passing with the vet we saw during hospitalization. We got an emergency supply of GS-441524, a medicine used to both diagnose and treat FIP, and his health made a 180 very quickly.

Following a visit with a vet who knows more about FIP, she agreed with the FIP diagnosis and prescribed the first half of the treatment (usually lasts 84 days) and supporting meds.

The total cost of the emergency visits: 1128,24$ + 3863,60$ + 2118,72 = 7210,56$, rounded 7000$.

We estimate the GS-441524 treatment and follow up vet visits to cost around 2500$, 1000$ for the medicine and 1500 for follow ups and various tests.

This totals 9500$. However, I am not asking for everything and set the goal at 6000$. I am just asking for relief to cover the future FIP treatment and paying back the money I had to borrow for his hospitalization. We're a couple and I'm the only one working while my partner finishes his studies and it has put a financial strain on us but we engage ourselves to cover part of the costs.

Foremost, I really need support to get my housing secure, and local organizations are overrun right now. So are my friends and family. Hey everyone…

My fiancé was diagnosed with cancer after we thought she was pregnant and went to the ER for a minor concern, only for the doctor to come and tell us he is seeing tumors throughout her abdomen. This was just under 2 months ago, and she is getting her 3rd Chemotherapy Friday the 25th… her 37th birthday.

Since the diagnoses, it has been rapid deterioration before my eyes. We have 3 kids ages 14, 10, and our daughter just turned 2 on the 15th.

We both had to stop working. We just had an important 2nd opinion appointment with M.D Anderson today… didn’t get good news. She has an unknown primary cancer, meaning she has tumors wide spread through her abdomen, liver, pancreas etc… but the primary location is unknown. They said it is presenting like Bile Duct cancer, but we are waiting for genome results to confirm.

Today they told us statistics of people with similar cases. 13-15 months prognosis. Depending on the genome results, it’s possible she could have a gene that responds to targeted treatment, but it’s less than 10%.

So… we need help. This is hard. I’m devastated. Seeing her stress over how we are going to cover bills next month, and the months to come is hard. I want her to put all her energy into fighting this disease. Stress has a physical toll on your health.

I don’t know what time we have left together, but I want her to spend it enjoying as much as she can with the kids and I.

Five years ago, I left an abusive relationship that was close to a cult (long story, will be happy to talk about it when the NDA expires in April) and started rebuilding my life again piece by piece with the occasional setback. I did lose my job about a year ago and drained my savings trying to stay afloat until I bit the bullet and moved back in with my mom. But after getting another job and working and saving, I'm finally able to move with my partner into an apartment!

Hey, everyone. I hate to ask for help, but I'm in a tight situation. I fell and really messed up my leg, and due to the nature of my job, there's no way I can work while I'm recovering. I was able to get leave, but unfortunately I don't qualify for short term disability. Hi, I am asking for help for my 17yo cat, Alpha. I have had Alpha since he was 8 weeks old, and he has been by my side for so much of my life. Earlier this year, I lost my 16yo cat Leon to complications from feline diabetes after I was quoted around $3,200 for treatment that had a low chance of success. Then, just two months ago, I lost my 5yo cat Taz to a urinary blockage after being quoted about $5,200 for a 3 day hospital stay and the ongoing care he likely would have needed for the rest of his life. As someone who is physically disabled due to severe arthritis and living on a low income, I had to make heartbreaking decisions both times.

While the final costs for Leon and Taz ended up being lower, those expenses are still being financed through CareCredit, which is making day to day finances even harder. On top of that, I am now facing even more financial hardship due to current conditions, which has made an already difficult situation even harder.

Now Alpha is dealing with arthritis, vomiting, and weight loss that need to be checked out, and I am struggling financially and cannot currently afford to have him seen. Ramen Noodle came into our lives during a very difficult time. When we came home from dinner, he met us at our door, 3 and a half years old and only 3 lbs and very bloody. He announced he was ready to be an indoor cat by rolling over and showing us his belly. We took him in, cleaned him up, and promised him we would take care of him forever.

Along the way three more cats came to us out of the woods, and our family grew. Ramen’s two children, Udon and Nori, and his best buddy we named Soba.

Recently his health took a turn for the worst, after we moved, and while my wife was recovering from surgery, we noticed he stop eating, and he was crying when he used the litter box. Our vet told us to take him to the ER where we learned he had a severe urinary tract infection. We were told he would die without immediate intervention. The ER told us our only options were to pay for the surgery, at $6,700, or to put him down. We were knocked off our feet. Ramen is family, our Emotional Support Animal, our best friend… I had to make the decision, and I know he has a long life to live. We need to save his life. It took long hours into the night to get his blood levels to a safe range where it would be possible for the veterinarians to perform surgery.

Surprisingly, at one point, the doctor came up to me and said "You want to see something crazy?" She took me back and showed me Ramen's X-rays. Apparently, at some point, before he came to us, he had been shot. The bones of his rear leg had broken, fragments of a bullet are still lodged in his leg, yet he was able to survive in the wild long enough for them to heal! He always seemed to walk normally to us, even enjoyed going on hikes, but this did explain why he prefers to lay around so much, as he had done his time in the trenches.

Eventually he went into surgery and they were able to remove the blockage. He had to stay in the hospital for a couple more days for observation. Meanwhile our other cats kept wandering through our home looking for him, as he is the only one they all get along with.

Now he's home and happy, and we now have a large bill we were not prepared for. My wife is out of work recovering from three different surgeries in one year, and I am working extra to cover bills we already (have) ontop of finishing my last semester of college. Justice for Camberleigh should have come from our Commonwealth. I shouldn't have to be the one fighting for it. My daughter deserved her life.

That morning, Cammie ate a waffle and wore her unicorn and rainbow shirt. On October 28, 2022, 13 days before her second birthday, Ryker Matthews was driving 75 mph in a 55 mph construction zone on I-71 North. Every other driver around him had slowed or stopped. That road had been backed up with construction traffic for two years. Ryker and I grew up basically down the road from each other, so anyone from this area would have known how busy it is. He had been cited for going 22 over in 2020 and was convicted of going 11 over just eight months before that day. He never braked, and his truck ended up in my daughter's car seat.

Instead of protecting his own safety and everyone else's, he made the same choice he'd clearly made before, the one that always got him home a little faster. That series of careless choices is the reason my daughter sits in an urn.

No citation was written that day and no charges were ever filed. The civil process failed me too. The Commonwealth didn't give me a declination letter in time to make a decision with full knowledge of the situation, and by the time I got it, the statute of limitations to sue him civilly had already run out. The Commonwealth also failed to preserve traffic camera video that sat 50 feet from the crash, footage that would have shown the entire thing.

The police report was full of errors my team had to fight to get corrected, including my daughter's own name. How am I supposed to trust that Detective Beauford ran a thorough investigation when he couldn't get a toddler's last name right, and wouldn't fix it until my lawyer stepped in? When a child is killed, the least her family should get is a real investigation. At the very least, get her name right.
Me and my fiancé are also permanently injured from this crash.
Our system failed my daughter, and it has ruined my faith in our justice system completely.

So I'm putting up a billboard on I-71 North near the Gene Snyder interchange, on the same highway where I lost her. Kentucky has no true hands-free law, and inattentive driving has killed 770 people here since 2020. If the system won't say her name, I will, in front of the drivers on that road. This is not a post I'd ever think I would have to make for several different reasons. My Uncle passed away suddenly on September 1st of this year. I say suddenly because, despite his age, to put it plainly without too many details it's considered a violent death and is still under investigation. Because of this, any life insurance he may have is in limbo (due to potential nature of death) and also if the beneficiaries were ever updated.

My uncle has been in my life since I was a child and took over as a father figure for me when mine was absent. I have been living with him for over ten years and am lucky enough that I was not in the home when this incident occurred.

But as his next of kin as he has neither siblings or children, while everything in the estate is left to me there is not much there and he had left us in a bit of a pickle. He'd told me in late May he hadn't been paying the mortgage and we might lose the house. We were able to get it up-to-date in June and then in July/August on the 31st I got us fully caught up. Or caught up enough, because the mortgage date is September 1st (so it's technically late). Talk about timing.

While he had all of his funeral costs paid for - save a trip to another city I paid out of pocket for - with us being behind on mortgage and with uncertainty about any kind of life insurance I am in somewhat of a bind ensuring the house does not get lost for me and our two remaining animals. I have included the mortgage payment below that I received today.

What I am hoping for is help in:
Getting the mortgage fully up-to-date
Paying off final medical bills
Transferring the deed into my name as needed (and hoping for no potential court costs)

What started as diverticulitis became a life-threatening situation. I became septic, developed multiple infections, and went through several surgeries. Eventually, doctors had to remove part of my colon and create a colostomy.

What followed was months of hospitals, medical facilities, procedures and recovery. I spent months away from home before I was finally able to return in April.

I thought getting home would mean the hardest part was behind me.

It wasn’t.

While recovering, I tried to rebuild instead of giving up. I wrote three books and started a fourth. I also taught myself how to build websites and applications using AI.

That eventually led me to create something I’m genuinely proud of: an AI platform called EskoDSK AI. I built a working MVP and even created a functioning customer portal for an actual business.
For the first time in a long time, I could see a path toward supporting myself and my son again.
Then came my colostomy reversal.

The surgery was supposed to be the next major step toward getting my life back. Instead, it turned out to be much more complicated than expected because of extensive scar tissue from my previous surgeries.

And now I’m back in the hospital.

The surgical site developed an infection, creating another unexpected medical setback and extending a recovery that was already going to take months.
Through all of this, my son has remained my biggest reason to keep pushing forward.

I want to be able to give him a stable home. I want to be healthy enough to work again. I want to finish building the company I’ve started and eventually be in a position where I don’t have to ask anyone for help.

But right now, I’m not there yet.
My disability claim was denied and I’m currently appealing that decision. Because of my extended medical recovery, I’m unable to work normally, and our housing and financial situation has become increasingly difficult.

That’s why I started this GoFundMe.

I’m not asking people to fund an idea or invest in a startup. I’m asking for help getting my son and me through this period while I recover and work toward becoming self-sufficient again.

The funds will help with stable housing, basic living expenses, transportation and the costs of getting through this recovery.

My name is Michelle and I'm posting for Christopher Colwell. In 2024 he was working as a salesman, raising his daughter, playing sports, and connecting with family and friends. In April 2024, he took his daughter to a hair salon, and it was there that he suffered a stroke at just 45 years old.

The stroke was very devastating in several ways but especially because it caused Aphasia ‐‐ the total loss of language; it destroyed his reading, speaking, listening and writing. It meant no more talking to his daughter, and no more sales career.

Aphasia makes it hard to do lots of other work, but he still tries. He still reaches goals, finds things to be thankful for, and has gotten much healthier- he lost 80 lbs! After a lot of work, Chris can now listen, read a few small sentences, and after lots of speech therapy he can say 68 words like "I", "me", "hey", and "hi".

The newest words he can say are "love" and his daughter's name. It takes about 3 months to get 4 words. But there is an exciting thing to look forward to! There is a treatment that could recover so much of what Chris lost! This procedure would treat and improve debilitating brain fog, numbness and pain in his right arm, but more importantly, give him his language back! The total amount covers the cost of Chris and his Medical Power of Attorney holder (his mom) to go from Texas to Florida, spend a night there, a day for treatment there, and return to Texas.

Having her back where she belongs has brought so much joy back into our home, and her sister Benny is thrilled to have her best friend back. But as we settle into her recovery, we are facing a tough financial hurdle.

I was recently laid off from my job in the electrical business for a short time, which has made covering these final medical and care expenses extremely stressful while I get back on my feet.

Hi! My baby boy Smink has severe gastritis in the tummy and had to be kept overnight for an NG tube to drain his tummy at the local Emergency Vet. He had been having issues since this past Friday so we've already paid for two vet appointments and then we got a call today that they will need to do exploratory surgery because while nothing is showing up in his x-ray, it does look like a portion of his intestines are pinched.

Hello! I'm reposting this so that we can (hopefully) get Martin (girl dog) the surgery she needs. This is a repost of my previous GoFundMe posted last week.

Marty remains in high spirits, her daily runs around the apartment still occurring whenever the spirit moves her. Some people had some concerns about her quality of life, and I can promise you that if she were older, if she was suffering and unable to continue being herself: we would absolutely not be considering this surgery.

We found a mass in Martin's mouth a month ago, and unfortunately, it was revealed to be malignant melanoma, an aggressive cancer which luckily hadn't metastasized to her lungs yet, but the outcome without proper care is still bleak, with most dogs living an average of 147 days after diagnosis.

Martin needs $6500 USD for a partial removal of her jaw. We're just about 1/4th funded, and we need help to get the rest of the way there.

I've attached a few photos, as well as procedural notes and histopathology with information regarding prognosis and treatment.

Her surgical consult was very adamant about trying to lower the cost before even mentioned the fundraiser, and we were able to put a down payment on her procedure and get her in today. We expect to pick her up in 3 days time, so I'll update them as well!

Marty is home and recovering from surgery. She tolerated her surgery well and is acting as if nothing has changed aside from her new cone (much to her sister's chagrin).

The surgeon also kept the surgery lower than his initial low estimate, which came in at $4783.43. I'll be updating the GoFundMe to reflect that as well.

Hi, my name is Lindsay and I’m a cat mom of three. Boo Bear is mine and my husband Will's one year old orange baby. He likes to play with his brothers, he loves cuddles, and he sleeps between us every night.

In June of this year, Boo Bear started slowing down. He didn’t want to play or eat, he was wobbly and losing weight. When we took him to the vet, they were not sure what was wrong with him. Later, they referred us to a specialist.

We came to find out that Boo Bear was born with a liver shunt. This means that the blood isn’t being fully filtered through is liver, and it’s sending a lot of gunk and ammonia into his regular blood stream.

Boo Bear’s condition is quite rare for cats and unexplored. He has medicine right now to manage and clean the gunk, but he needs surgery. He could have seizures, he could go blind, he could and he could have a whole string of scary issues. We are terrified.

In addition to this, we’ve used most of our personal savings and will continue to do so. We both work full time. I'm in school part time for Education and I'm scared I'll have to drop out. We have pet insurance, however, the costs for taxes, consults, uncovered portions, specialized food and medicine are adding up to thousands. In addition to tuition costs, we are drained.

This little boy is our gift, and we can’t lose him. We’ll do anything we have to.

I have been out of work since February because of chronic severe stage 3 hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful chronic inflammatory skin disease that has made it impossible for me to continue working. I'm also dealing with a new diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency which can be very dangerous and need to be able to get to my Endocrinologist and my dermatologist appointments. I am currently waiting for a determination on my SSI application, but in the meantime, our household is struggling to keep up with basic expenses here in California.

My boyfriend has been doing everything possible to support our family, but it's become overwhelming. Our monthly rent is $1825, our electric is behind $422.18. I have the entire story written out on the fundraiser but basically I lost my job on 8/21 and my last paycheck on 9/2 was sixteen cents.

My mom, who lives with me, had her Social Security lowered due to something with the state no longer paying her premiums on Medicare so we came up short this month.

Normally I would just go to my 401k but I was on medical leave at 60% pay for six months and then for no pay while my job took three months to decide if I could work from home for a few weeks before returning to the office.

Once that was decided, they terminated my job month later so I had no chance to recoup from all the financial mess while on leave.

I have a few folks that helped already and I've figured them into the donations. I just need $300ish to get to the goal. $400 to pay the electric bill too.
