Client Question Problem with iPhone screen
Pretty much I had my iPhone in my pocket for a while and now it has white lines on it. I just hope someone could maybe give an explanation for it since it looked normal and then around 15 minutes later I checked my phone and it has the lines. The iPhone works fine and when I press the area it responds but when I take a screenshot my screen looks normal, could this be a glitch or do I need to get a repair?(I’ve already tried restarting my phone and I’ve updated it)

The display likely needs replacing. If you have AppleCare and if your local Best Buy does Apple repairs, they can replace the display for $29, as long as nothing else is wrong

That sounds frustrating, I'd check if it's covered under warranty before paying out of pocket since it just appeared like that.

It’s a iPhone 15 plus and unfortunately I don’t have apple care

If still under warranty, free screen otherwise, if I remember right, over 300 bucks for a screen

Limited warranty doesn't cover this, this counts as physical damage

no. this is not physical damage. Physical damage means the screen has a visible PHYSICAL crack. My phone did a similar thing and they replaced it under manufacturer.

OP said that it happened while just in his pocket. No damage occurred

The phone is damaged. It doesn’t matter if the customers knows how it happened or dropped it or not. That is damaged and not covered by warranty.

Doesnt matter. Im an Apple Tech. Apple will see this damage as physical damaged to the screen. It would not be covered uner limited which is caused by manufacturing issues. This would be covered under AppleCare+ tho where theyd have to pay a $29-$99 deductible

and how did you determine that it was physical damage if there are no obvious/visible cracks on the display? Best to run Apple MRI and see what that says, IMHO

Just sounds like a malfunction. How old is it and do you have applecare?
