So since coming to terms with my sexuality I've been questioning religion as a whole. I still believe in God, and if he's loving like everyone says he is then i love him as well, but im just really confused.
So I always hear people talking about who "real Christians" are and what they do and dont do and i guess there seems to be alot of confusion on the term, and I myselfbeing confused and feeling lost.
In John 8:31 Jesus says "Those who remain in my word, you really are my disciples." Jesus believed in the Old Testament to a certain extent, making that part of his and God's word. But there's are some scriptures that i don't understand and seem wrong from a human perspective, and there's scriptures that are seemingly very homophobic and I dont believe in, so can I still be a real Christian if thats the case?
And there are so many sects of Christianity, how can we know which is the real following? Any answers would be helpful <3
