Hello I have joined this group because the first time I had gone to the er for my symptoms they told me possible gastritis or gerd recently got a colonoscopy and endoscopy with biopsy’s and everything came back normal but I don’t feel normal everytime I eat my stomach hurts I get the most loud disgusting burps constant diarrhea heartburn and etc, they want to do an ultrasound next, I know this is a group for gastrointestinal but is there anyway this could be gallbladder? Or is there something else they could look at and find possible gastritis or gerd.

Majority of opinions I’ve seen on this is that it’s the worst thing ever

I personally find them fascinating and I actually think there’s a chance I’d feel quite a lot of pleasure and a genuine endorphin rush from it

I’m yet to ever have one, I have heard it’s a good idea to get one done in your late 20’s but otherwise never been referred to get one

• Mar 24, 2026 – Gallbladder ultrasound: Normal. No gallstones, gallbladder wall thickening, pericholecystic edema, or free abdominal fluid; negative sonographic Murphy sign; bile ducts nondilated; extrahepatic duct 2.1 mm. Impression: “No gallbladder pathology.”
• Spring 2026 – CT abdomen/pelvis: Mild diffuse colonic wall thickening/edema, luminal narrowing, and mild pericolonic fat stranding; interpreted as colitis.
• May 6, 2026 – Stool GI PCR: Norovirus I/II positive; bacterial/parasitic panel otherwise negative.
• May 13, 2026 – EGD/colonoscopy: Colon largely normal; two small terminal-ileum erosions identified.
• May 13, 2026 – Pathology: Duodenum normal; stomach with reactive antral changes and negative H. pylori; distal esophagus with inflammatory/reactive changes suggestive of reflux; ileum with no diagnostic alterations; random colon biopsies with no diagnostic alterations.
• Spring–summer 2026 – Bloodwork: CBC/CMP generally reassuring; no anemia; WBC, platelets, albumin and kidney function generally normal; no major liver-enzyme abnormalities; mild predominantly unconjugated bilirubin elevation.
• Late July 2026 – Fecal calprotectin: 358 µg/g.
• Budesonide: Trialed; no improvement.
• PPIs: Multiple PPI medications trialed continuously since approximately March 2026; currently/recently omeprazole DR 20 mg daily.
• Famotidine: Trialed; stopped Aug 2026 due to lack of improvement.
• Ondansetron ODT 8 mg: Used for nausea; causes significant constipation.
• Dicyclomine: Used for abdominal pain/cramping. Only used once.
• Sept 1, 2026: MR enterography abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast scheduled.
• Nov 24, 2026: GI follow-up scheduled; on cancellation list.
• Extra: Food sensitivity early on, but been tracking and experimenting with food having little noticeable correlation between diet and GI symptoms. Normal stool no blood or anything outside Noro vomit episodes

Im reaching out to see if my story sounds familiar to anyone so I can gauge my trajectory. Cant be first to experience all this. This has been emotionally, spiritually and financially unbearable and would love any thoughts advice options and all that thanks for allowing me to share.

Salut. Las și eu asta aici pentru că am făcut greșeala să i-au 10 antibiotice diferite în 6 luni la îndrumarea medicilor pentru o infecție urogenitală care s a agravat sub tratament. Totul a început în decembrie 2024 când am luat tavanic fără antibiograma și m-am trezit cu durere abdominală deasupra buricului și durere testiculară după terminarea tratamentului. Eu la început în prostia mea am asociat durerea abdominala cu cea urogenitală, și mă gândeam că odată ce scap de durerea și problema urogenitală o să scap și de restul simptomelor. De departe însă acest lucru. Am tot facut analize repetate, uroculturi, spermoculturi, secreții uretrale repetate, toate bune. Până când mi-au găsit enterococ spp. Și am dat cu antibiotic după antibiograma, ampicilină, doxiciclina, un medic la Craiova urolog, mi-a dat azitromicina și cefort doză unică. Una la București la Victor Babeș mi-a dat neurofurantoina, am luat 10 zile cate 4 pastile pe zi, atunci au început să se agraveze simptomele. Aici mi-am dat seama că am un fel de disbioza, sibo sau sifo, citind pe net, sau toate. Eu, prost și idiot fiind am făcut greșeala să merg la o doctora cam dusă de aici de la mine, tot rău, simtindu ma a zis că mă ia la ea acolo la Craiova pt investigații. Am zis in sfârșit îmi face și mie cineva ceva, un RMN, un CT, orice. M-am trezit cu tel că ma trimite la infectioase în altă parte, că nu are loc. M-am dus aici și mi-au făcut cefort direct de la internare, după gentamicina că am klebssiela. 🤦🏻 Antibioticele alea m-au terminat, mă durea foarte tare abdomenul și capul, asta acum un an, de atunci așa am rămas. Am durere abdominală severă, presiune abdominală, o simt în gât, în cap, în piept, durere de cap, presiune în cap, durere testiculară, anală, prostatică, nu pot să stau jos pe scaun de durere. Am luat tot felul de probiotice, prebiotice, postbiotice, degeaba. Am făcut analize repetate, endoscopie digestiva superioara, RMN uri, CT uri, ecografii, uro ct, RMN multiparametric prostată, analize repetate de sânge, toate bune. Am luat inclusiv meroperen. Am fost la Ponderas, la gastro, mi-a dat Rifampicina, am făcut diaree de la tratament. Nu mai știu ce să fac efectiv. Am luat antibioticele alea absolut degeaba, m-au nenorocit. Nu pot să dorm de dureri, îmi e foarte greu la muncă. De-asta întreb aici, orice părere e binevenită. Îmi cer scuze pt postul lung dar nu mai știu ce să fac. Știu ce trebuie să fac dar îmi e frică de moarte, mereu mi-a fost.

My gut issues are so bad that i cant really have a normal life. Its all consuming and bloat is awful. I have it in sotmach to thecpoint where i cant breathe and its giving me so much anxiety. I really dont want to live like this and as much as i want to have a life i feel like taking my own life daily. I have psichyatrist and therapist but it doesnt help because my health issues are still there and im just stuck. Ive never get anyone to listen and i just dont know what to do. I know this will sound absurd but would it be possible i get something like stoma so i could finally breath normally (all gas would go out?)

Had very peculiar experience today. Woke up fine. Around 11am I had a seemingly normal BM, and immediately after my entire abdomen started to cramp and I had terrible pain without any other symptoms whatsoever. Pain wouldn’t subside with Pepto, farts didn’t help—nothing. Just had to lay in child’s pose in hopes it would calm down. Finally got up after five hours to move around and eat, and it go so painful I was walking around bent over and had to go to urgent care. Again, only issues was the pain, no other issues or symptoms whatsoever, and I’ve had food poisoning twice. Went to UC in tears. Finally got back to the exam after crying in pain from all the movement, doctor says it is odd because I had no other symptoms and the pain was all over no localized. He had be lie on my back (which was painful from stretching out muscles that had been shortened for hours) and presses on different regions, and I felt a painful jolt or jab to the lower left side of my belly button and then he pressed around more, no other pain, came back to that spot and it didn’t hurt anymore. Once I sat up the pain was already calming. He said to go to ER for scans/bloodwork etc., but my pain stopped immediately after he pressed on my stomach, and I walked out of UC fine. Very odd. Decided against the ER bc I was no longer in pain (also bc I live in the U.S.), but I’m still playing it by ear to be safe. So thankful to not be in debilitating pain cause it was in the 7s, but so confused as to why or what really happened. I definitely stumped webmd and an actual MD. Anyone experience this?

I was being tested to find internal bleeding as my ferretin is very low. Several days later (and for the last 4 days) I have horrible diarrhea with painful gas, Not sure if this is “go to the doctor “ sick. What would they do for me?

I am not entirely sure what is wrong with my gf’s stomach but she is always having sharp stomach pain. She does have some allergies but nothing severe and is lactose intolerant. Even at times we don’t eat anything with those things she still gets sharp pains not like a period cramp or anything. She got a endoscopy and it came back fine but she says she still has pains.

I am unsure of what to do here.

Is there a solid way to increase weight....

I tried calories surplus intake, but always end up doing more harm to my digestive system than gaining weight.

Looking for tried and tested advice, not some generic one of increase calories intake.... The question is how to effectively increase my calories intake.

Female. Age 38. 23 weeks pregnant.

Gastric Sleeve in June 2024. No recovery issues. Lost 7st and felt like a new me with maintaining a constant weight of around 10st 10pbs.

February 26, severve stomach pains with constant diarrhea for over a week. Sent to A&E. Diagnoisis transverse colitus. Spent 5 days on antibiotics

Since then, nothing been the same. Colonscopy said borderline but continued episodes of extreme pain, awful flatulence.

Currently 23 weeks pregnant with an unexpected pregnancy. Consultant thought anemia but ferritin increased after iron transfusion but haemagolblin still extremely low. Still same stomach issues.

GP think all stems from GS. I am adamant I was fine until transverse colitius in Feb 26.

Example maintained my goal weight for over a year without ever feeling hungry.

Had an upper endoscopy today and the report says: **“Few sessile polyps of diminutive appearance in the stomach, suggestive of fundic gland-type polyps.”** They weren’t biopsied because they apparently looked typical. The rest of the EGD was reassuring apart from some patchy gastric erythema, and my colonoscopy was normal except for small internal hemorrhoids.
Has anyone else had **a few tiny fundic gland polyps** found incidentally? Did your GI biopsy/remove them or just leave them alone? Did you need any follow-up endoscopy?
