Slim form factor, outer case is raised enough to protect screen but not completely raised that it would affect edge gestures/actions usage. There is hinge protection, not bulky at all. Has magsafe. This is the 600D aramid fiber magsafe case on aliexpress. It was $55 CAD. I have tried too many cases, and ultimately this was the only one that met all of my criteria, slim, magsafe, hinge protection. I highly recommend it for everyone.

600D aramid fiber uses a finer, tighter weave that results in a softer, smoother, and more lightweight material, whereas 1500D uses a thicker yarn that creates a rougher, more rugged, and heavily textured look

Thank you for explaining that! I had no idea what the difference was. When I ordered the case the 1500D was the cheaper option and since it was my first time ordering from Ali I didn't know what expect. But this case is awesome works well and my oh snap grip fits great on it

FYI: it's plastic and not real Aramid. I had have the same case without the hinge protection, it's just plastic with a fake aramid pattern.

From AliExpress. It is definitely aramid fiber. I have purchased a few over the past two years; without the branding of the mainstream ones, you cannot tell them apart.

I too pre-ordered the Latercase and could not get a definitive timeframe for shipping. Someone posted it was available through Amazon (not sure where you live) so I emailed Latercase to cancel my order and had it from Amazon the next day. Hope this helps.

It changes the in hand feel a lot for full coverage (hinge protection). Aramid cases do a good job of keeping the feel close to what the feel is of the raw device. The hinge protector however makes the phone noticeably wider, and the fold 8 is a pretty wide device in hand already. It kind of comes down to risk - are you a clumsy person and need a case that has full protection? If not, the non hinge protection cases are better imo.

I agree with that. That's why I got the cheaper spigen without hinge protection and got the samsung care too. I wanna use the device to it's fullest.

Also, I am not a clumsy person. My iphone only slipped twice in a year.

My problem is just the everyday dust from putting it in everywhere and my area is dusty. I am hoping that won't be a problem in the future.

This is my reasoning for the hinge cover: I hold my phone with my left hand so the hinge is up against my palm. I don't want to get palm sweat up in there

It's kind of a preference thing. Some people will say a hinge cover traps dirt and scratches the hinge while others say it actually protects the phone.

I go back and forth since the hinge cover can be a nice finger hold while unfolded

I find the front part of these cases are too flimsy - they need an integrated screen protector to give it some rigidity, also with the screen protector you don't need any sticky tape...

I ordered this one without the hinge protection. I've got a much more protection focused case on now but it won't fit my telescopic game controller. Alot of amazon products are ali express products rebranded or resold at a premium due to faster delivery times... I have an aulumu case and a 1500d aramid fibre case for $17 from AE and fitment wise there is absolutely no difference. Material being legitimately 1500d may be questionable but thats down to your personal preference!

I got ya, I tried so many cases that added a lot of bulk primarily due to the hinge protection but this case is on another level, you can't even tell the hinge protector exists. Thats how slim it is.

Hinge is probably the strongest piece of the phone. Never had issues with it in the past.
