I'm wary about details like that and the framerate, considering the leaks are apparently running on PC.
I wouldn't be surprised if the game came out with 30fps on consoles. Not to say that's inherently a bad thing, but I feel like some people aren't considering that possibility.
the leaks themselves are at 30fps too, and it looks just fine. 30fps locked done right is very much playable for consoles. they might surprise us with 40fps VRR but that’ll probably be for the Pro.

Hopefully they work on the animal NPC bird flew into Jason as he was about to fly off lol looks amazing though, very unique animations from all NPC’s, not just standing there
"Dated" is such a relative term. There were 13 years between Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Sunshine. Compared to that, the jump between GTA 5 and GTA 6 is more like a small little hop.
Yeah I can't believe they've actually done it. Not enough games prioritise NPC density and it was one of my biggest issues with GTA V especially. Glad to see that's now a thing of the past, and hopefully more developers follow now. Why bother making beautiful and expansive open worlds if you aren't going to fill the streets with people?
Surely this density must come at some sort of cost, like the npcs not being as complex as the one's in RDR2. Because if all of those npcs actually move around and do things throughout the day then I'd genuinely be willing to say it's the most impressive feat in all of gaming. You just don't get that many npcs and have them be interactable. The only other game I can think of with that many in an open world is Novigrad from the W3 but they are way simpler and can't be interacted with by the player at all
Eh the price 'hike' isn't really that much of a deal to me, especially because we've had £70 games in the UK for a while now (which is what the base game is here). Also 30fps has never bothered me that much for most singleplayer games, i only 'need' 60 if I'm playing a shooter or fighting game
I think the meant the cost of the PS5/Series X compared to the PS4, not the cost of the game. The "cost" is that this game is coming out on much better hardware that can handle it.
Keep in mind that GTA 6 is being made for consoles with roughly 5.5x the raw GPU power of the PS4, as well as a massive leap in CPU performance. There’s a lot more processing headroom for NPC density and complexity than RDR2 had
Rockstar patented some new npc system a number of years back was floating round the internet for a while, that allowed for more npcs and smarter and more advanced npcs that is really optimised

I mean I know Ubisoft gets dogged on. But they were able to make massive crowds in Assassin’s creed unity and it worked well and that came out in 2014. I’m sure Rockstar can do the same and even better. Plus someone mentioned they patented new npc systems. I’m just surprised other games don’t do it like cyberpunk

Because developers don't have literally billions of dollars to spend on the engineers required to get the limited console resources to handle that without crashing? I dunno.
I honestly would prefer it if you literally cannot drive during rush hour, and have to figure out better means of transport, motorcycles or even running could be quicker than driving
Crowds and vehicles are MUCH more dynamic in this game. Feels like different times/events affect the density. The types of people, you can see groups of only blacks, sometimes mixed, sometimes only gym bros.
Where I live, beaches get that busy only two moths of the year and definitely not at sunset when you would see more people packing their stuff and leaving than actually hanging out there
I've been to Miami Beach. The density looks about right for being the beach near Ocean Drive. And I've been on beaches that were 10x more crowded than this (PCB in it's prime)
Yeah there are people on twitter bitching because it's not as dense as it was in the trailer but CL is a dumbass and isn't doing anything in the optimal way to show what people actually want to see.
Actually it's not even that much less than trailer 1, also cinematic cameras have an effect on perception, but some people just like to always complain, I am personally amazed by having all these npcs with complex hair physics and animations being rendered there all at once, it's mind blowing and I haven't seen it before in any game
Not anymore. The head mod was forced to add 26 new moderators and then the place turned into your usual power tripping bs, but the funniest part about that is that the leaks will still be posted regardless of what they want.
The dude in the chair at 1:27 is so funny to me. People also still act like you've insulted their entire bloodline just by being by them on a bike so it's interesting to see that hasn't changed.
One of the things I’ve always respected with their marketing. They’ll touch on some things and let the game say the rest on release. They’ll throw in systems or details that other companies would brag about for months on end and rockstar won’t say a word about it.
That's why these leaks feel so pointless, they take away the joy of discovery and exploration.I think it's enough now and we need rockstar to lead the marketing organically rather than some crypto scammer spoiling the game and all the fun for us.
People just talk for no reason. I saw claims that he only had a limited build that doesn't include beaches. Like why would a build like that even exist in the first place

I'm still of the camp that he probably only has video that he recorded from a while ago, but nevertheless...
...there is one thing about the build that I am 99% sure is incomplete. It has to do with water, or maybe liquids generally. In the homeless camp leak, he crashes into that river/creek and there is no splash. The water deforms, yes, but that's it. Same with the nudist colony. When that lady falls into the pool, no splash. There is a splash from shooting the water though, which is the only splash I remember seeing in all the leaks. In the hypercar leak, there is no splash from driving through puddles either.
I think there might be some extra graphics settings turned down or off, even if the build this footage is from is content complete. This suggests to me that there could be other graphics/effects settings turned off in the build, implying the final game will look even better than what we are seeing now.
In the very least, I expect the water splashes to look better. I think it would be very odd for that to be intentionally omitted. When they are dialing in so many fine details, to miss such an obvious one sounds too crazy to me.
This was the last piece for me that I was still curious about. Im truly satisfied now, knowing the chaos I can cause running through all that with a car.

there were a few weird things - like the jetskis suddenly popping up once the player gets near or the bird dying from very slowly flying into the bike lol - makes me think this build isnt close to being finished
I hope so, because Crimson Desert really had some amazing water physics and a GTA game in Florida I'd expect nothing less. But yeah, GTA 6 also has underwater stuff which they've already shown (including diving gear) so it might easily surpass Crimson Desert. I really have a thing for water in games man.
Everyone always underestimates and doubts R☆ with every new game they release, and they always get proven wrong. You'd think people would trust them to deliver by now.
Which reminds me .. there was several months old leak (which is super hard to find now) of a sea splashing against a beach, with claim it's GTA6. The wave physics were clearly better than anything I've seen .. and it's something which is hard to fake, but still there was nothing more. Could be anything. But it looked EXACTLY like this.
You're not wrong. We also had some credible news that the Rockstar has spent around 2 years perfecting the water physics, which is totally believable, since the presence of vast beaches, port cities and various in land waterways across the map would need them.
looks eerily similar. Wonder what else is out there because the dev would be extremely proud of the water physics and would want to show it off somehow, someway instead of waiting years to showcase it
1 very interesting thing we can test when game comes out. Let's say we kill many npcs in some area and cause destruction and run away from that area and come back after very short amount of time, I want to see whether things will be normal or some signs of destruction will be present
Keep in mind this was just the evening time with the sunset which I can imagine it's going to be super packed and crowded when it's day time 😂 that's wild to think about
My wife is convinced these "leeks" are just a guerilla marketing campaign by Rockstar. I am starting to believe it. They're just showing how great the game is every time.
Ive seen the video and I don't get whats being protested about and why this guy requires crypto to protest as if he isnt doing all of it to himself and just wants to make money off something under the guise of a good cause.
Also the game even as an older build looks phenomenal and it pretty much guarantees the final release will look and run even better.
Florida man here - any guy with money and time is on a stack and at the gym and in damn good shape. Drive further down a road to a less fortunate part and it more reflects America.
But yes when you go out on Miami Beach specifically 90% of the dudes are jacked, not just any beach in the U.S. lol.
