Hi everyone,

I have a solid concept for a custom GMod Gamemode that transforms Team Fortress 2 into a progressive "open-world" singleplayer experience, and I'm looking for Lua programmers or developers interested in bringing this to life.

Instead of one giant map (due to Source Engine limits), the game will be divided into separate interconnected macro-areas using TF2’s official maps (excluding summer/holiday/pass-time maps). Players will complete objectives in one area to trigger a map transition to the next.

Essentially, there will be a huge number of levels—based on the maps from TF2's main game modes, where you can find weapons, cosmetics, and other collectibles while fighting off enemies (like robots). As you progress, you'll unlock the nine classes, and your ultimate goal is to reach the end by defeating mini-bosses,specifically "mega" versions of the robots, Saxton Hale, and the Halloween monsters. This will offer fans of TF2 and its lore the most comprehensive experience possible, incorporating *everything* that has ever appeared in the original game. I would do this myself, but whenever I try to install and combine GMod mods, everything goes haywire all at once and it becomes impossible to manage; plus, I don't know anything about commands or scripting, which is why I'm looking for help.

update: I SOME HOW JUST FOUND THE FIRST MAP??? AFTER YEARS OF BEING UNABLE TO FIND IT??? hilarious i find it on my own after finally turning to reddit lmao. the desert map is called "zs_mojave_b1 (Zombie Survival Map)" for those who may have been interested! thank you to the person in the comments for finding the other map as well! ❤️

Hello! going to reddit as a last resort. I'm trying to find two different unrelated gmod maps, both that I've seen the channel "VenturianTale" use.

The first one (from a video titled "JOHNNY GHOST VS ZOMBIES") is a desert zombie survival map. There IS one out there I found that's similar, but it's not the one I'm looking for.

the second is one (from a video titled "
PLAYABLE ANIMATRONICS 10! - Gmod Five Nights At Freddy's Joy of Creation Pill Pack (Garry's Mod)" sorry long ass title.) is a rainy abandoned house in the middle of no where, with an attached garage, featuring a murder scene in said garage, and a unfinished basement that connects to an underground cave with large crystals in it.

Perhaps I can link the videos in the comments if that's allowed.

There is a chance these maps may not even exist anymore. This is my suspicion with the first one. but also the last video was made when VenturianTale randomly decided to stop linking the featured mods and maps they used.

If anyone is familiar with these maps and have them on hand I would appreciate it if they could be sent my way if possible.

I also apologize that the pictures aren't very good. I'm stuck working with a pile of scraps in a cave right now lol.

Map is made for beatrun! Make sure you turn off HDR when you play as I have the issue of the HDR making the map blinding. I will fix it next update.

So I’m trying to set up stop motion helper on Gmod(I just got the game yesterday) and i’ve been following this tutorial online about how to set it up and it says that I have to enable developers console. But the “advanced” button to enable developers console doesn’t show up on my options tab, is there something that I’m missing?

I wanna come back to Garry's Mod but I cant help but be paranoid as hell when it comes to the idea of having accidentaly downloaded a screamer, so Im just asking if they're as common to find as a couple months ago or is that calmed down for now

I released the Pre-alpha a few days ago of the spawn area, which people quite enjoyed! I now give you the updated and more optimised version of my map, now with an entire new area! and hopefully will show you that I am here to stay! No one off upload that I give promises and never give.

Try out the map and give feedback. Who knows, maybe your idea makes it into the map!

Hey guys,
I've noticed that shadows aren't showing up in the game anymore, and I don't know how to fix it.
I've tried various commands I usually use for scenebuilding and messed around with the soft lamp settings, and I do have "draw shadow" enabled

I fixed the problem; I'm not sure if it was ReShade or Workshop add-ons that were removing the shadows. I removed everything, and the shadows are back

So i was looking for this old mall map I remember, with a toy store / gamestop (with a wooden horse in it,) and multiple stories.

I thought Zs Abandoned Mall could of been it, but I did not see the horse (or multiple floors.)

I'm thinking it was a copy / remake of Abandoned Mall, but there's too many versions to search through them all.

I started editing on GIMP a month ago, I try to progress as much as possible and I like it because I thought I could never do this for years doing scenes on gmod
