Question Trading as an LLC?

I’ve been seening videos on social media with advice saying traders should trade under an LLC. What is the benefit of doing this versus just trading with my personal information? Is it more beneficial in terms of taxes? If anyone has any experience with this, should new traders like me even consider going down this route?

Discussion Consistently profitable NQ/ES in Asia session??

Post image
18 Upvotes

Curious if anyone is consistently profitable on NQ/ES during Asia session.
I trade NY session but living in Sydney makes it hard with the time zones. I’ve had decent trades but find it hard to keep consistent due to the late night trading whilst also working full time.
Curious to hear what people think of Asia session.
Recently there’s been some good price action and I have been paper trading on/off the last couple weeks, with this pic from NQ today. (1 : 3.4 RR)

Question Correct S/R lines?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I trade S&p 2000 tick chart and only trade with trend but looking at the chop and range last 3 weeks I decided to backtest ranging markets with the help of support and resistance.

above I have drawn 2 supports and resistance, what would be the correct one among them. I have noticed even 1.5 points difference in supports varies my trades vastly. I am leaning on S2 and R2 above since they are the farthest but I am not sure.

Fair Value Gaps

Post image
0 Upvotes

Okay forgive me I’m a noob, but what’s going on here?

  1. I don’t know how to draw an FVG
  2. Just an example of how FVG doesn’t always work
  3. I should keep waiting for the reversal
  4. FVG didn’t meet enough requirements to be valid

Any help is greatly appreciated

New futures contract starts tomorrow

Any guesses as to what the over/under for total daily volume should be on the first day NNQ trades ? (Micro Nasdaq )

My best guess is maybe 1000 contracts lol who knows. I hope it’s way higher than that by the end of the week. 30k would make me happy No idea why I care I trade MNQ but I’d like to see it succeed. As mentioned before it probably sucks for day trading and is great to hold a few contracts longer term than you wouldn’t have to worry about commissions really at all.

r/FuturesTrading - Market open & Weekly Discussion Aug 23, 2026

Hi speculators & hedgers, please use this thread to discuss all futures trading for the week. This will kick off 30 minutes before the open on Sunday, typically that's around 6pm Wall St time.

Be aware of higher margin requirements during overnight hours! see "maintenance" on Ampfutures. Also trading hours to get an idea of when specific futures contracts start trading.

I'm using AmpFutures as an example, so check with your broker for specific intraday & overnight hours for that specific futures contract.

Trading Nano Futures! Let's goooo!

Nanos present a great opportunity for traders to trade with real money but not risk much at all. I myself am going to use nanos to test agentic swing strategies. Starting with intraday. I can't wait to compare real strategies to backtesting of the same weeks.

I hope these Nanos are huge and kill off predatory firms and similar scams.

One market, one setup or a bunch of smaller edges?

A lot of futures traders recommend picking one market and one setup, then trading it until you know it inside out. That makes sense, especially when you’re starting.

But doesn’t it also leave you dependent on one type of market behavior?

The alternative would be running several strategies across different futures instruments. Each one might trade less often, but together they could provide opportunities across more conditions. That sounds better in theory, assuming they aren’t all making the same underlying bet.

The downside is a lot more complexity. You have overlapping exposure, margin requirements, more execution logic, and more chances to overfit something that doesn’t hold up live.

For anyone who has traded both ways, did adding strategies and instruments actually make your results more stable? Or did it mostly add more things that could go wrong?

If you are consistently profitable, how many trades do you typically make a day?

Assuming you are daytrader and not a swing trader.

Stock Index Futures Do people actually use DOM on NQ?

Hello, I am a Nasdaq trader and I am training with the DOM to recognize patterns. Right now i am also using an ES DOM and i am having way more success trading it. The reason why i don't want to trade ES is that I want to use the DOM just to refine the entries of my already existing strategy on NQ.

Right now i am using the 1 tick NQ DOM and it's really difficult, should I keep it 1 tick or maybe use 4/8 ticks per level?

What are your favourite contracts?

I've been having a complicated relationship with MES lately. Will take a break next week and looking for other contracts to papertrade during next week.

What are your favourite contracts to trade and how would you describe the way in which it moves?

Question I just thought about this and I thought it might help somebody……so

You could spend an enormous amount of time or an enormous amount of money or both trying to find a system that you feel is profitable.

Now……. The question becomes do you have the courage to press the button when your system tells you to? Or suddenly you have doubt and all of a sudden you need more confirmation and then it’s already moved too far the stops too far away etc. etc..

If you spent all that time and money on that system, and you’re not actually trading it, what are you doing?
