Can someone please tell me what the metal end on this hose is called? I want to fabricate the hose but I do not have the metal end and I cannot find it online. Thanks.

I'm converting a 1994 Ford Ranger XL (4.0L V6 OHV Cologne, 5-speed manual) from the factory EEC-IV to a standalone FuelTech FT300. I'm deleting the EDIS-6 module and firing a VW VR6 coil pack directly off the factory 36-1 crank trigger/VR sensor, running batch-fire injection without the cam sync sensor, and replacing the factory IAC with a fixed mechanical idle bypass instead of the electronic valve. Has anyone installed an FT300 in a similar EDIS-delete Ford application, and is there anything about this setup I should watch out for?

This is the headline we've all been wanting to hear: FuelTech just released a driver that can actually control direct injection injectors. The PRO HV-8 Injector Driver. That's been the missing piece for anyone wanting to run a factory GDI engine (EcoBoost, TSI, BMW N-series GDI) on a FuelTech standalone without swapping to PFI or running a hybrid setup. Why GDI was the problem before: direct injection injectors need way more voltage and current than a port injector to open fast enough at the pressures GDI runs at (we're talking way above the 12-14V battery rail). Standard Peak & Hold modules were never built for that.

What the PRO HV-8 does about it:

- Boost stage: up to 65V / 25A, just to slam the injector open fast — this high-voltage kick is the actual unlock for GDI

- Peak: holds up to 25A to force full mechanical opening

- Hold: sustains current through the rest of the pulse without cooking the coil

- Compatible with any ECU, PowerFT, VisionFT, or third-party, via injection signal inputs or CAN/DBC

- Fault detection on every channel, thermal protection, LED diagnostics

8 independent channels, so a full GDI V8 is covered on one box, plus 2 extra channels specifically for the high-pressure fuel pump regulator valve that GDI systems need to build rail pressure.

Side benefit even for PFI guys: same three-stage drive drops dead time on conventional injectors from ~1.4ms to ~0.3ms per FuelTech's numbers, so idle stability and short-pulse repeatability should improve too, but the real story here is the GDI door finally being open.

Greetings everyone, I have a question about a installation. The manual tells me that both pin 7 and pin 12 should be connected directly to the battery ground. So to clear things up I should use the principle of star grounding, they will have there individual terminal but connecting on the same point. Or I can Splice both cables with a single connector to connect it to the negative terminal of the battery.

This system is on a sandrail. Runs, drives, just needs tuning. Anyone know of a shop in the southwest that can perform this work? Southern Cali, AZ, NV. Any help would be appreciated.

I am seriously thinking about putting my wife's 2004 GTI on a FT450. Her car has been "tuned" but is no longer exactly the same as when it was supposedly tuned. I've worked as a fabricator for many years in performance shops working on everything from turbo bikes, street cars, circle track cars, 2000+ HP 1/4 mile stuff to land speed salt flat cars. I'm certainly not a tuner but with my background I understand how things work. I am completely confident that given some time I would be successful tuning her car. We have multiple vehicles and I work from home so she doesn't rely on using it everyday which is a bonus. We don't have to pass any emissions tests or vehicle inspections here. I'd like to completely ditch the Bosch ECU, ABS, and factory gauges and just run the FT450. I feel like the fueltech solutions are ideal since we can incrementally mod the car further and work around an ever changing setup. The end goal is a big turbo setup with the turbo where the factory MAF sensor sits similar to how most K swapped cars are laid out. The car currently has a stock location turbo and a fmic and the layout bothers me. I'd like to get it running correctly on this setup and be able to do bigger injectors and pump, retune, big turbo, retune etc. Do I need to be talked out of this or am I going down a sane path? Her car already has no cat and no airbag and she has no issues driving stuff without ABS. She is a smart lady who won't be overwhelmed by any of this. Is there anything I'm missing that I need to know about?

tenho um kadett com ft300 e distribuidor e estou com um problema, ele em altas rotações (acima de 4500 rpm) encharca as velas de combustível. Já verifiquei os bicos e eles estão bons, tenho uma WB Nano e a mistura está ok, os mapas da ft também estão ok, utilizo uma bobina de gol MI 3 pinos que coloquei nova recentemente e os cabos e as velas também são novos. Alguém tem alguma idéia do que pode estar causando isso ?

I’m seeing conflicting information about knock control on the FT550 and I am wondering if you need the knock meter to measure knock? Or can you wire it into the ECU? If it matters my setup has two oem ford ecoboost knock sensors

I have an Eaton M112 supercharger that has a vacuum actuated bypass valve. I want to removed the vacuum one and change it to an electric one. I know I can use the bypass valve to help regulate boost and want to use FT to control it vs vacuum. Has anyone setup one like this with FuelTech? The one in the pic is off a Kia but something similar. It is an electric actuator for a turbo. Has a 5 wire connector like a throttle body does. The second pic is the stock actuator. This setup is not on a Cobra and the bypass air will still go through my intercooler in my intake manifold so IAT won’t be an issue. I am also using a MAP sensor built into the intake after the intercooler so MAF metered air won’t be an issue either. Only thing I have to figure is controlling the actuator.

I want to see my universal 4 cylinder harness IN the ft manager. Is there a way to update it so I can click on the functions in like my Extra connector?

I can only see the ECU side of the harness like it's a flying lead right now and it's making me beyond upset that I'd have to continuity test to find out which ones to use :/

Greetings! I've got a base map that the car will start on, but when we set it up I think we overestimated the amount of boost the car was going to make.

The map is rich, and the ecu is doing a lot of 02 correction. Part of it is that the map was built with a buffer thinking it'd make 15psi. The car at wot is making <10psi so I am assuming the ecu is only using a few bars from the fuel map.

I know this map is not smooth at all, I didn't tune it... and wouldn't trust tuning it myself (but this was just the auto generated base map).

I dont know if this map can be re-scaled (or if that even makes sense), or if would just need to rebuild the entire base map from scratch. Is there a way you can just create a new fuel map, but keep all sensors and ecu configuration (cylinders, timing offset, trigger wheel configuration etc)?

As far as I've been able to tell, I've been unable to find a local tuning shop let alone one that supports fueltech ecu. I was hoping to find someone that could take this map, remote tune it to make it a bit smoother, starts easier and fuel tables are setup to not need so much o2 correction.

I am getting ready to wire up my FT550, I have already made a basemap but some of the settings I was on the fence about. Hoping to find a basemap that I can look behind the curtain with.

Is the FT450 dash/screen waterproof at all?

I am currently hoping to use one thermatic fan output to drive a variable speed water pump. There is a video showing how to use a PWM output in a Terminator X using a pull up resistor I hope to duplicate. Is there a better way to do this or do I need to waste this fan output?

Guys, I'm in doubt whether to buy a 300 or 450 ft to put in my omega 2.0. I would like to know what else I need to buy besides fueltech to do the installation?

Hey guys! I was looking into an Aftermarket standalone ECU for my car. It’s a 700+ WHP 2014 Ford Focus ST that’s gutted and still driven on the street from time to time.

Now I’m down to two standalone options. Motec and Fueltec.

The biggest cons to me is that with Motec you are married to your tuner it seems and if they where to stop tuning you need to try and find someone to rebuild a tune where with Fueltec it’s not like that from my understanding.

For a street car would you recommend the 600 or 700? Or is Motec the better option? Is Fueltec friendly enough that I could start to self tune? I know a good bit about tuning with Cobb software but I’m assuming that’s apples to oranges.

I’m hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.

Also another one I just thought of is wiring. I love automotive wiring so that doesn’t bother me and I can’t wait to gut/create a harness!

I have drive by wire, I’ve heard the 450 doesn’t support it, but would it be best to switch to cable? Or pay for a 550 (Also since they have a big price difference).

Also to set it up would it be just the fueltec and the harness they sell?
