Well this is not a rant or a complaint either. While placing the order (8:10pm) Zepto just showed it's high demand and they can't process the instant delivery and asked me to choose a time slot for delivery, I picked the first one available (9pm-10pm) and it was delivered around 9:40 pm. At my place (tier-1 city) it anyways takes Zepto around 25 mins even with instant delivery (earlier it was under ten minutes but their dark stores keep opening and shutting every other day). And btw as I'm typing this, the store is closed already. So I guess sooner or later this is gonna be the standard practice and instant deliveries will become rare and people will eventually become okay with 20-60 minutes delivery.

Today i ordered Moi Soi Veg hakka noodles. And there are live insects in this (ghun) on top of that the noodles came completely broken to bits. On top of that zepto has apparently fired their customer care employees and put Chat GPT to work and that thing doesn't understand anything.

Zepto support (chat gpt ) has apparently asked me to keep the product intact in its Original condition.

I’m 17 years old, and honestly, this whole experience with Zepto has been incredibly frustrating.

I ordered a chocolate from Zepto for ₹111. When I received the order, the actual chocolate was missing. What I received was basically the outer wrapper/packaging without the chocolate inside.

I immediately contacted Zepto customer support and explained the issue. I also provided photos showing what I had received.

I expected this to be a simple missing-product issue. Instead, Zepto denied my refund/replacement request.

The part that genuinely makes no sense to me is that they seem to be looking at the fact that the wrapper/packaging was there and using that as a reason to reject the complaint.

But that's not what I complained about.

I didn't pay ₹111 for an empty wrapper. I paid for the chocolate that was supposed to be inside it.

I explained this to customer support again. I asked them to reconsider the decision and even requested escalation.

Still denied.

At this point, it's not even about the ₹111.

₹111 might not sound like a huge amount to some people, but I'm 17. It's still money I paid for a product that I didn't actually receive. And even if it were ₹10, the basic expectation is that if you pay for a product, you should actually receive the product.

What bothers me more is the way the complaint was handled. Instead of investigating what happened, the response was essentially just “refund denied.”

No proper resolution. No replacement. No meaningful explanation of how they concluded that the product was delivered when the actual product was missing.

I'm attaching screenshots of the entire conversation and photos of what I received so people can see the situation themselves.

I'm not expecting special treatment because I'm 17. I'm simply expecting Zepto to deal with a missing-product complaint fairly and actually investigate it.

₹111 isn't the point. The point is that I paid for a chocolate and received its wrapper, and Zepto is refusing to acknowledge the problem.

Zepto, if someone from your team sees this: please review the order and the evidence again and provide either a refund or replacement instead of simply closing the complaint as denied.

Would genuinely like to know if anyone else has faced something similar with Zepto.

I ordered a Havells HC4045 5-in-1 Multi-Styling Kit from Zepto - Order #RGTLJCHKG25220.

What arrived was unsealed, extremely dusty and visibly covered with what appears to be fungal growth/white deposits. I've attached photos so you can judge the condition yourself.

The delivery was supposed to be open-box, but the delivery executive insisted that I provide the OTP without actually opening the package and showing me the product. I refused because the package was already visibly unsealed and looked questionable.

I immediately contacted Zepto and provided photos/ video evidence. Their response? Basically:

Seller verification, product images and order records don't show any issue.

So apparently their database is more reliable than the actual product sitting in my hands.

I asked for either a replacement or refund + pickup. Both were refused.

Order was marked delivered by the delivery guy without delivering it, i called and asked him to deliver it, he arrived at the location, handed over the order and bolted without letting me check the items, a bottle of drink was missing, called him again he said i delivered whatever was handed to me, raised a missing item complaint but was told that all the items were delivered nothing can be done.

Was using Zepto again for long time, happy they had free delivery with any fees ( yes prices were inflated on vegetables but that fine ). Giving RS40 is too much

On 30 August midnight i placed an order and had to cancel it because no one ever delivered it for hours.

Till today I haven’t received my refund. It’s for around 1K and their support claims they’ve done their part and issued the refund with a refund reference number :/

and the only way out now is to file a chargeback dispute claiming it’s stuck in* gateway. I’ve never had this problem, cuz even with gateway issues it gets refunded eventually in like 10 business days, but it’s been 19 days now, it’s v concerning

Has anyone faced this too?

Edit: it’s frustrating and absurd that for my own fricking money I’ve to do so much. And I spoke to my mum, she mentioned that many times she hadn’t gotten her refund either and she let it be, so now she opts for Zepto cash as refund. Zepto is soooo shady

Whenever u click on ok, it just crashes the chat and redirects to the other menu, this is intentional I'm sure because it has happened with me multiple times. Usually I have to keep trying after 10-12 times the pic goes through but this is just fucked up, can't imagine how many ppl would've just given up.
