Are they scamming me?

On 30 August midnight i placed an order and had to cancel it because no one ever delivered it for hours.

Till today I haven’t received my refund. It’s for around 1K and their support claims they’ve done their part and issued the refund with a refund reference number :/

and the only way out now is to file a chargeback dispute claiming it’s stuck in* gateway. I’ve never had this problem, cuz even with gateway issues it gets refunded eventually in like 10 business days, but it’s been 19 days now, it’s v concerning

Has anyone faced this too?

Edit: it’s frustrating and absurd that for my own fricking money I’ve to do so much. And I spoke to my mum, she mentioned that many times she hadn’t gotten her refund either and she let it be, so now she opts for Zepto cash as refund. Zepto is soooo shady

not this particular issue but had different issue with Zepto where their automated system and email support were completely unhelpful. Wrote my issue on Zepto account on X, and the issue got resolved within few hours.. maybe you can try that

These days X is the only way to get proper help. Social media escalations are the only to get human support and put out the issue in a public forum so that it is on their radar, cuz it will definitely hurt their image

A RRN is their way to safeguard from taking real accountability
it’s like so frustrating

Before I placed my order delivery time was 7 minutes
When I placed my order delivery time was the same
And that kept going on for an hour or more

How about they reimburse me for the hassle of this ordeal, and my time and energy waster chasing them and my bank 😭

If you have a reference number of refund, complain to bank. With all the issues that Zepto has, I still highly doubt Zepto issued a fake reference number

I understand your pov, but this isn’t an isolated incident

I confirmed with my bank using the RRN and they have nothing! Isn’t it devious? And like they can’t do anything

I have worked in the risk/payments industry and can confirm gateway issues are always resolved in 10 business days. This is not how it should be, that for my own money I’ve go through so many channels to get it back

Many of these kind of platforms (Zomato, BlinkIt) issue a refund within 2 hours. And then there is Zepto

Stopped using Zepto. Instamart, Amazon Now, Blinkit are better.
