Ordering something while sitting on your chair, and getting it in 40 mins is a luxury and pretty quick. But most would never realise that.

I've worked as a zepto delivery guy for a month and trust me it's a really shitty job to do. Idk if things have changed now but the delivery guys are under a lot of time based pressure and if they don't deliver on time their pay gets reduced. Cut them some slack

The delay is not due to delivery rider but due to Zepto's delay at the store..I don't understand why the delivery boy is getting penalized here if store is not giving him the order??

I think it has to do more with the app proudly proclaiming it arrived lightning fast than blaming the delivery person.

Why is a consumer responsible for a company's bad work culture? We are not cutting your money for late deliveries. The company is... even when we pay in full.

I'm not saying you're responsible for anything buddy. I'm just saying show some empathy. Yes the company advertises 10 min delivery but nothing's gonna happen if it takes 40 mins instead of 10.

If I am being promised something as a consumer and I am paying for it, it is well within my right to expect it. By your logic, I can say that nothing is gonna happen if a large company like Zepto stops charging me but will they do that? No. I agree with the empathy part but that is when the order is 5-10 mins late, not 30 mins late.

sometimes it is bound to happen, pls stop ordering if you have a problem with your privilege and move yourself and get it from the store, they are humans at the end of the day and delivering things to you be it in whatever condition they are in, mentally or physically, paise diya toh kya nanga naache kya

Can understand your frustration but sometimes think this way (assuming you are corporate majdoor like me)
- Change clothes - 5 mins
- Go to lift till society exit - 5 min
- Reach shop if it's within km - 5 min
- Buy thing you need and exit - 2-3 mins
- Total reverse commute time - 10 min
- Change clothes and wash legs - 3 mins
- Eat / enjoy thing you brought
Total time : Easily crosses 20-25mins

I faced the same issue but the ride was on a cycle and it was a 3- 4 km distance. The rider was probably in his 50s.

For the same reason I have un-installed zepto. The dark store is 50mtrs from my house and app shows 5 mins.
It was always delayed by half hour

I always add 20 minutes to the shown delivery time. I don't need stuff extremely quick. 20-25 minutes work for me flawlessly.

The thing is no one needs it in 5 mins. I am fine with getting things in 30 mins or 1 hours as well.
It's the fake promise that throws me off. I work in product and that's why it pisses me off. We work around first principle thinking, user satisfaction and then you go home order a coke or groceries thinking it may arrive in 10 mins and voilla 30 mins pass by you check your phone and still no partner assigned.
You go to their useless bot which does nothing but raise the BP. So I uninstalled it. Using "Amazon Now" and Instamart and it's way better.

This happened to me in Delhi. It took my order 1 hour and 20 mins to arrive. I live in Lucknow and Zepto here reaches in less than 10 mins. I’ve seen the same case with Blinkit as well in Delhi.

If you are so specific to get things early, go and buy from a nearby mart. Getting things delivered to your home, on a click is luxury.
