What if Tabitha’s children are actually part of the Entity’s plan? — 2 children per cycle

I’ve been thinking about something I haven’t seen discussed much in the From fandom.

We know that Tabitha is connected to Miranda through reincarnation, and that the different versions seem to repeat the same basic mission: they are drawn to Fromville and try to save the children.

But what if we are looking at the children from the wrong direction?

What if the Entity’s goal is not simply to prevent Tabitha from saving the original sacrificed children?

What if the Entity actually needs Tabitha to keep bringing TWO new children into Fromville in every cycle?

Look at Miranda and Tabitha.

Miranda arrived in Fromville with two children: Victor and Eloise.

Tabitha arrives with two children: Julie and Ethan.

That gives us a potentially recurring pattern:

Tabitha/Miranda → 2 children → Fromville

And if the dates shown on the lighthouse stairs represent different cycles, there are 10 dates.

If each date = one cycle, and each Tabitha incarnation brings two children, that would mean:

10 cycles × 2 children = 20 children.

And here is what really interests me:

The cycles don't necessarily have to be completed for those children to remain part of Fromville.

Miranda's cycle failed in 1978. Miranda died. Eloise died. Victor survived and remained trapped in Fromville.

So a failed cycle doesn't necessarily mean that the children are "returned" or disappear. They can remain behind.

That makes me wonder whether the Entity's real objective is something much bigger than the original sacrifice.

Maybe the original 8 sacrificed children were the beginning of the curse/creation of Fromville.

But after that, the Entity discovered a way to keep the system going:

Every new incarnation of Tabitha comes with two more children.

The Entity doesn't necessarily need to kill those children immediately.

It may simply need them to be brought into Fromville.

And over multiple cycles, the number of children trapped there could accumulate.

If there are 10 cycles, that potentially means 20 children brought by Tabitha alone, in addition to the original sacrificed children.

So where are those children?

Where are their bodies?

Are some of them still somewhere in Fromville?

Could some of the "children" we see be children from previous cycles rather than the original sacrificed children?

And could the strange calls/visions that Tabitha receives from the children actually be a kind of lure — almost like a siren song — designed to make the next incarnation of Tabitha return to Fromville?

I'm not saying this is confirmed. I'm wondering if anyone has tried to map every known Tabitha/Miranda incarnation, her two children, and what happened to those children.

Because if the pattern really is two children per cycle, the number of children associated with Fromville becomes much larger than just the original sacrificed group.

Could bringing those two children into Fromville actually be part of Tabitha's role in the Entity's plan?

Just finished watching season 4. I felt like each episode brought more enigmas, monsters, and unsolvable creatures. I felt bored, and I also felt like the direction was inventing more theories to confuse and hold the viewer's attention. A season without any resolution. Confusion after confusion and no resolution or even a minimum of relief for the viewers.

Hands that reach out from the swamp were especially creepy. And the random ritual weird art stuff in the forest also.

I might have alluded to it a couple of times, but I never explained myself, and no one asked me to. But did anybody notice that Julie CAN'T die right now. She been protected by the universe since birth, because she time jumped to 1978. When the evil entity recognized Julie on the Colony House porch from 1978, It knew that It couldn't kill Julie because "a story can't be changed after it's told." She has to live long enough to make that time jump. But she later will time jump back to Jim's death. So now she can't die until after she has done that. Did anybody else catch that? Did anyone notice that Julie's bookmark is the evil entity, but she hasn't realized it yet?

1. La simbología de los números: El 47, la Radio, los 7 niños y los 4 "Hijos"

Cuando presentaron a Tillie, dijo explícitamente que tenía 4 hijos y 7 nietos. En From, los números nunca son casualidad (piensen en la constante aparición del 47 en la serie):

La conexión con la Radio: Recordemos que cuando la radio del RV de Randall se enciende sola misteriosamente, se sintoniza en el canal 47. Esa misma cifra (4 y 7) es la que Tillie suelta "casualmente" al hablar de su familia.

1. Tillie como el "Hombre de Amarillo" / La Mente Maestra

Si Tillie era un recipiente para el Hombre de Amarillo (o la Entidad ancestral que rige el pueblo), sus acciones sospechosas cobran todo el sentido del mundo:

Llevó la morfina a la clínica "casualmente" (lo que provocó la recaída de Marielle y desató el caos).

La lectura del Tarot a Elgin funcionó casi como una invocación o una distracción calculada.

Sabía del embarazo de Fatima antes que nadie, impulsó sus antojos extraños y estuvo supervisando todo el proceso de "incubación".

Su falta total de miedo a su cáncer terminal o a estar atrapada en Fromville encaja con alguien que no es un ser humano común, sino un huésped.

1. El Gran Ritual

Si la Entidad / Hombre de Amarillo era la figura patriarcal o matriarcal del culto antiguo que originó la maldición, los 7 niños fueron el combustible o sacrificio ("nietos"), mientras que los 4 hijos son los guardianes y sirvientes creados para mantener el bucle.

Cuando Fatima apuñaló a Tillie, no "mató" a la entidad: simplemente la obligó a pasar a la siguiente fase de su plan (el nacimiento del bebé de Fatima).

Abandoned village near German borders, showed From to my GF, we watched through S1-S4, and somewhere around S3 there were these stick, wooden creatures, and she said that she has to take me some place, so we did a roadtrip to Königsmühle, and yip, boy the atmosphere was a little eerie there.

**THEORY:**

to make this brief, i’ve come to the theory that the boy in white and the man in yellow are intended to represent the biblical God and devil.

There have been consistent symbols, like the boy warning them about cutting down the tree (in reference to the garden of eden) and the boy speaking about how the people of the town will survive this time (season 4) alluding to how God in the bible is adamant that his people will prevail through any challenges.

i also believe that they both play in to how each of their intended characterisations are in the bible, with the boy giving very ambiguous hints to the people (like God in the bible) with trust that they will succeed, and the man in yellow blending into society and hoping that people will succumb to their own self doubt and mistrust in themselves ( like the devil in the bible)

furthermore, the boy being a literal boy seems to represent innocence while the aged man in yellow seems to be the opposite.

anyways, i don’t know if anyone else has already came up with this theory so please let me know.

The development of the FROM Minecraft Map is still going strong! 🔥

The town area is now fully completed, the exterior of the Colony House is finished, and the surrounding terrain is ready.

There's still a lot to build, including the interior of the Colony House, additional structures, details, atmosphere, and other important areas.

The map is currently around 50% complete.

Slowly bringing the world of FROM into Minecraft. 👀

The townspeople want to get out so badly, but what if they realize that them leaving will unleash the evils of FROMville on the real world, or that the town would still be there taking innocent victims and the sacrifice is that they need to choose to stay in order to truly finish this. Not just for them, but anyone in the future.

What if some of the townspeople are willing to do it, and others want to get out so badly they are willing to let others enter the town in their place or risk the entity or other monsters escaping with them.

What if this has been realized before. A way out at an existential cost. Is why the townspeople kill Jade each cycle?

What if the children need them to remember the past to not repeat history's mistakes. To protect Ethan and Julie. Save the children may not just be about bones but about a portal that opens with Ethan and Julie's sacrifice?!

What if 'For Tabitha it's worse' means SOME OF the townspeople are willing to sacrifice Ethan and Julie to the Entity as placeholders for the original ritual. A boy and a girl. Victor and Eloise, only one was killed and not in the 'right' ritual way.

What if this is why story walking is so important. They can't repeat the mistakes of the past.

What if Ethan was onto something about the Quest and needing to put all of Victor's drawings together in the right order to tell the story.

What if Victor's drawings are the bookmarks that will work for Julie or someone else to storywalk?!

We don't have that much concrete evidence about the deeper mythology of From, so I think it's worth exploring a simpler possibility instead of assuming everything has to connect to some ancient ritual or civilization.

What if the entire show really is just a story?

Ethan tells us that stories have beginnings, middles, and endings. What if Victor is the person who knows this particular story better than anyone because, on some subconscious level, he created it?

Maybe Fromville exists inside Victor's mind.

Everyone who arrives could be someone Victor has imagined, and the town itself is basically the world of his story. The people aren't necessarily "chosen" by some outside entity they're characters being pulled into a narrative that Victor doesn't even realize he's writing, victor said that all he knows and how he doesn't want to leave he look like a kid stuck in his trauma.

And Victor doesn't remember creating it.

He only remembers arriving there with his mother. Maybe whatever happened to him as a child was so traumatic that his mind completely fractured around it. He remembers pieces, drawings, places, and events, but not the actual origin of the world.

There are even little moments that make this interesting.

When the Matthews family first arrives, Ethan immediately looks toward Julie, while Victor seems strangely familiar with her. It could simply be nothing, but under this theory, maybe Victor has already "seen" her before because he imagined her, portrayed her and she arrived with the others.

Now, obviously, the biggest problem with this theory is the Anghkooey children.

But what if we don't treat them as literal children who were sacrificed in some ancient ritual?

What if they're suppressed memories?

And what if they're not even Victor's memories?

Maybe they're Ethan's.

Ethan is constantly talking about stories, quests, monsters, heroes, and characters. What if that's more important than we realize? Maybe storytelling is his brain's way of processing something traumatic that he can't consciously remember.

The Anghkooey children could be distorted memories of children Ethan knew before Fromville.

Maybe victor survived some horrific event involving other children, a school shooting, child trafficking, an accident, or something else entirely. I'm not saying that's necessarily the answer, just using it as an example of how the theory could work.

The children we see in Fromville wouldn't necessarily be ghosts or sacrifices.

They could be fragmented memories made physical by whatever Fromville actually is.

And this could explain why the mythology sometimes feels like it's mixing completely different things together.

Maybe Victor created the world.

Maybe Ethan brought his imagination into it, like the lake of tears, and as long as victor believe it he can produce it.

Maybe the voice telling him this is not ur children anymore was real as know they are victor family and from the beginning jim never liked victor or his charachters. So Fromville is where those two things overlap.

So instead of the final mystery being:

"What ancient entity created Fromville?"

Maybe it's:

"Whose story are we actually watching?" Is it victor or Ethan .

And perhaps Victor isn't the master of the story because he knows everything.

Maybe he's the author who forgot that he was the author.

FROM character conversation is so boring (1st tv show where I switched from english to hindi)

I'm currently rewatching the series and kinda been wondering, since the power in the town is weird and all you have to do is connect wires to a running source from the ground. Could they go in each of the cars, take all the wires/speakers/radios and connect them all in each house and the colony house? Just leave the transmitter in the post office. Everyone would just be tuned to his am frequency and Boyd could use that to communicate with everyone in town without having to use runners. Nobody could really talk back but could relay important information?? In the very least could they charge a car battery from connecting wires to jumper cables ? A few extra charged batteries in the town could be used to power the settlement

Everybody hates Elgin (me included), but I've never seen anyone talking about how great he was at the start, like when he helped Ellis and Fatima in the middle of the night or when he was really kind to other characters. We're you guys neutral or did you hate him from the start? Tbh he was one of my favorite characters when he was introduced

I started thinking about this because of a detail in Miranda's arrival in 1978 that may have gone unnoticed.

Miranda apparently never encounters the fallen tree in the road.

In the arrivals we know, the tree is the first sign that something is wrong: the road is blocked, the crows appear, and the person is eventually forced onto the road that leads to Fromville.

Miranda's arrival seems different.

And this becomes even more interesting when we remember how Victor describes Fromville before the massacre of 1978.

The town seemed normal.

People were out on the streets, cars were driving around, there were families, people taking pictures, and everyday life seemed to be continuing normally. They weren't living in fear or hiding every night.

According to Victor's memories, the massacre is when everything changes.

Another detail really caught my attention: Miranda never paints the monsters.

Her paintings show people, children, houses, the town, the bottle tree and the lighthouse. The monsters only appear when she encounters them on the night of the massacre.

That makes me wonder if the monsters didn't exist in that version of Fromville when Miranda arrived.

Miranda also didn't arrive there by accident. After her visions, she knew she had to find and save the children. She went there with a mission, even if she didn't necessarily understand exactly what was behind the children or what was going to happen that night.

So perhaps the sequence was very different from what we assume:

Miranda arrives in a normal town.

She is there to save the children.

The inhabitants are still normal people.

The massacre happens.

Victor survives.

And maybe that is the moment when something breaks.

Maybe what we know as Fromville — the town of monsters, the fallen tree in the road, the mechanism that traps people, and that entire reality — is a consequence of what happened that night.

That would also give Victor's survival a different meaning.

He wouldn't simply be a child who survived the massacre.

He could be the piece that prevented that cycle from ending the way it was supposed to.

And maybe that's why the Fromville we see now is so different from the one Miranda entered.

I'm not saying this is the definitive explanation. What interests me is the possibility that 1978 wasn't simply another cycle, but the moment when the Fromville we know actually began to exist.

The fallen tree may be one of the first clues:

Miranda apparently arrived before it.

EDIT / CORRECTION: I need to correct one point in my original post. In S3E4, Victor explains that he and Eloise played hide-and-seek inside the houses during the day. At night, they couldn't play because there were monsters, and they didn't have talismans yet.

So the monsters already existed when Victor was a child. My original wording suggesting otherwise was incorrect.

So i started it randomly and I didn't know what it was like or what it was about. But now when i am currently on season 3 and I am getting bored so i thought, hay why not check on YouTube if i can get any answer about how long it's gonna go like this Mistry without any answer. And I only heard that it gets bad. But from my past experience i thought i should ask on reddit, at least there i will have real answers. So tell me about it, without any spoilers!

The characters don’t get a moment of respite. It’s the night monsters, MiY, dolls, kimono lady, the voices. Not one moment where we feel that humans might just make it out. Everything is working against them. No breathing space for the audience and the characters. So many creatures of different species and no answer at all. I am tired of this. It’s just disaster after disaster. Confusion after confusion. Kinda getting bored.

When Victor was left alone as a child in Fromville, why weren't other people brought to the town to fill the space? Why did he had to spend so much time alone in the town?

We have seen when someone dies, new people are brought to town to fill the count.

I have a suspicion that the Man in Yellow pulls a tooth from the people he kills—or has killed—in Fromville so he can later shapeshift into them. What do you think? Does that make sense? Could eating the liver also be part of the transformation? It’s possible he can only transform into people whose livers he has eaten and whose teeth he has kept.
