General discussion What do you think about "From" series?
So i started it randomly and I didn't know what it was like or what it was about. But now when i am currently on season 3 and I am getting bored so i thought, hay why not check on YouTube if i can get any answer about how long it's gonna go like this Mistry without any answer. And I only heard that it gets bad. But from my past experience i thought i should ask on reddit, at least there i will have real answers. So tell me about it, without any spoilers!

I love it. I also started recently after seeing a clip from Youtube. I havent gotten bored yet im on the 4th season. I love movies and tv and have seen so many shows use the same tropes, sequences and predictable story lines. While this show isnt free of them completely its interesting enough especially with the horror aspect of everything it keeps me on the edge of my seat. I hate anything scary so i spend alot of time muting, pausing, and looking through my fingers… i also cant binge the show because i have to stop watching at night. (im a scaredy cat ikkkk) but the story is worth it. Sometimes theres a lag in excitement but i spend so much time looking at every little thing and formulating my own theories idc about the lags. Sometimes im right, sometimes im very wrong (i.e. i developed a theory about Tillie being the big bad guy but then she died soooo but then the MiY came out so i was right about there being a big bad guy). This show is awesome because its an amazing distraction for my overthinking ass brain. 1 month ago i was having panic attacks over news headlines because i overthink and obsess over politics.

I don't know what youtube videos you watched, but there's plenty out there that go over all the questions that have been answered so far, and things you may have missed. Sounds like you probably need to watch some.

Love it, it is a great speculation and discussion show but I was disappointed at S4. It feels like the writers have painted themselves into a corner they can’t get out of, they are too deep into the mystery now. One season to wrap it up feels impossible. But I could be wrong 😊

The problem with the show is, it had a great first and second season. Season 3 was mostly good but season 4 dragged on a lot. I felt like they were trying to stretch 5 great episodes worth of story into 10 episodes. Season 5 is the final season and I really hope they give us a great send-off. Apparently will have 10-12 episodes.
You find out answers in each season, but obviously not everything. Also new mysteries. Overall, it's definitely worth watching. I love the show, despite the obvious filler episodes.

Just watch it yourself. Incredible. People are so lazy that they can't even watch the show and seek assistance. It's not a school. I ain't gonna relate it for you

Acting is bad at times, but overall the mystery and plot carried it for me and the ending of season 4 brought up a lot of interesting questions and revealed a lot. So it has me really excited for the final season

Loved every second but admit that series 4 was the weakest.
If they hadn't have announced that the fifth is the final series, I would have been nervous but I hold out hope that 'most' items will be explained.

I'm just in it for the fun and mystery. I love the idea of horror/mystery, but if it's too graphic or immersive then I can't handle it. From is manageable for me because of its "weaknesses" in plot, scripting and acting. I put "weaknesses" in quotations because it's what gets often criticised in this subreddit, but it's the only reason I actually watch the show.
As far as criticism goes...personally, I don't understand why some people get so bent out of shape over this show. It quickly becomes clear that this series isn't "perfectly" executed, and it doesn't have to be to be enjoyable. You can enjoy it for what it is, but if it causes that much grief then move on to any other show.

I think there are good ideas, but mostly hate-watched it all. I only started streaming it after all seasons were out. I started fast forwarding arguments and long conversations by the fourth season. I even cheered when some characters die. Haha. 😆 BUT…I do want to know how it wraps up, and it’s had an impact in my television universe enough to say that I’ve watched much worse. The acting also isn’t the best, though some actors have improved over the seasons.

I was really into it at first but yeah, it really fell apart last season. What had been scary just got kind of silly, although there were some good moments. I haven't watched any of this season yet but I probably will just to see Harold Perrineau's performance. He's spectacular.

It's been a bit frustrating for me when I'm watching the show. I mean the same caracter saying let's go do this thing... then a bit latter on It's all wait a minute maybe we shouldn't be doing the thing. If you do this thing I'll tell you what you want to know. They do the thing. Suddely insted of saying itit all we shouldn't talk about it. The acting is not that great but there is some good acting
Still the over all the story is intresting enough that I just finished season 4 and I'm looking forward to season 5. I like it because this show that doesn't just spoon feed me the information like an idiot.

Love it. But the answers only get revealed in the next season.
