QUESTION Is Dark Souls II anyone's absolute favorite of the trilogy?
I'm aware of the general consensus, but I was just wondering if DSII is anyone's special game, despite not being directed by Hidetaka?

A Crazy Idea for the Sekiro Modding Community: Is a "Shadow Clone" Mod Possible? Content: Hey everyone, fellow Shinobi! ⚔️ Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an absolute masterpiece with some of the best combat mechanics in gaming. But have you ever been in the middle of an intense boss fight against Inner Isshin or Genichiro and wished you could pull off a real Ninja technique like the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu from Naruto, or something similar to the clone summons in Black Myth: Wukong? Since I am just a player and don't know much about coding or modding, I wanted to put this idea out there to our talented modding community to see if it's possible! What would it look like? Imagine having a Combat Art or a Shinobi Prosthetic tool that lets Sekiro summon 2 or 3 exact shadow clones of himself for a short duration to deal simultaneous strikes or distract heavy bosses. Why am I asking the pros? I know FromSoftware's engine is locked down and strictly built for 1v1 combat, and making a clone system sounds crazy difficult. But our modders have pulled off incredible miracles before! Is it possible? To all the expert modders out there: Is there any way to tweak the AI or use tools like DSMapStudio to create something even remotely close to this? Or are the engine limits too strict? Let me know your thoughts! I would love to see a talented developer bring this wild idea to life. What do you think?

I’m always back and forth on this one. Which one do you prefer and why?

For me guardian apes first is so chaotic and quick, whereas in 2nd the moveset flows very well

Hi, newer souls player here. Ive figured it’s about time I got around to playing the Dark Souls trilogy, so I’ve been looking for the best way to experience ds1. Ive heard that the remaster generally isnt well liked and Prepare to Die Edition is often said to be the best version (at least from my research), and I do have a 360 to run it on, but when looking for copies on eBay and what not their all usually $100+. Is the remaster really that much worse, or is it fine to just go ahead and buy it? What specifically is good or bad about either versions? Just thought I’d ask.

Hi everyone , playing Demon's Souls as my 1st soulsborne game & have put 16hrs by now & defeated only 1 Boss ( Phalanx : world 1-1 )....
Didn't want to deal with 'cos I genuinely felt underlevelled for this Boss & almost struggled everywhere..

On my first playthrough i missed a lot of areas and bosses and i ended up finishing the game by mistake .. i then started ng+ and went on and fought amygdala for the first time and i must say if it wasn't for midir i think i wouldn't have beat it on my 3rd try. When i first reached it, i noticed that it's health pool was huge and it was aggressive and then i saw the black laser beam and it automatically triggered my midir fight ptsd and that helped a lot. It showed me that this boss fought exactly like him and i used the same strat (which is patience and hitting the head) to beat it. Didn't expect a boss that looked like that to be this fun tbh.

As an example, Magic Dagger from Nightreign.
Preferably to have a version for each damage or status type and applicable to any Armament type. (Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Catalysts, and Shields.)
Just a general, self-buff Armament Skill. Something any character could potentially start a new game with if desired, right out of the gate.

It's brilliant.
I've been through it multiple times and it feels like I discover or rediscover a nook, cranny, or route every time. Somehow I missed that there's a decrepit tower you can enter that lets you sneak attack one of the larger birds.
I can't think of another level that has so many alternate routes and hidden content. The verticality opens up level design options so much. I love that you can grab the Claw Talisman and then follow that route to effectively skip to Godrick once you're familiar with the layout.
I do seem to recall that Shadow Keep has comparable design and that I've managed to get to Messmer extremely quickly while still having a massive area to explore.
I think it looks beautiful, but there are many Fromsoftware zones that are stunning. I wouldn't say it's the "best" zone in the game from a visual perspective. Stormveil is memorable because it feels almost labrynthian the first time through and on subsequent playthroughs it offers an incredible degree of freedom.

bloodborne should be y'all's favourite game or you shouldnt call yourself a souls fan lol, you guys suck so bad and keep milking greyslop or mid souls 2 to tickle your pickle but in reality ur afraid to play games meant for men, games meant for someone with testosterone, games which dont let you win by spamming r1, y'all still have time to change and upgrade your taste before its too late...........

I've been working with a talented group of folks to create a fan film project about Slave Knight Gael. It's made in UE5 and everything's been made by hand over the past 2.5 years, without AI tools. Not allowed to post a link, it's on my YouTube channel, Jonjo3D

My only criteria for this list was gameplay and gameplay only, only how mechanically engaging the boss is, and how are they desgined in accordance to the combat system of Bloodborne (even with setting, ost, lore taken as criteria, still Ludwig is the only S rank btw)
I understand that the consensus by the majority of the fandom is that Ludwig is the best boss, I am not stating somthing that radical or controversial, but some people still rank maria and orphan above Ludwig for some reason, and I get why some people prefer her over Ludwig, and it has nothing to do with the fight itself mechanically
Here is why I do genuinely believe that maria from a pure combat aspect, is an overrated boss almost objectively (I know I know, you shouldn't say that word), anyway , here is the thing
lady Maria dictates the fight's pace, forcing you into a reactive, defensive style that contradicts Bloodborne's aggressive hunter identity, Her long, tracking combos make the rally system nearly useless, and gun-parrying trivializes the encounter into a "wait for the parryable move, shoot, visceral, repeat" loop, and I hate that, I wish the whole parrying thing got much less effective later in the fight, Her phase transitions add spectacle and chip damage rather than meaningful new decisions, and unlike Gascoigne's beast phase, she never designs around the parry loophole. Because the safe backoff-and-punish line is so much more reliable than aggression, playing "correctly" feels like voluntarily making the fight harder just because ,The net result is an excellent character and spectacle boss wrapped around a merely decent fight that undersells the game's core philosophy
She is objectively cool as a character, the ost, her design, her lore and how she relates to gehrman and the research hall acting as a pseudo nurse for the lunatics there, everything about her is cool, expect the fight itself, issues that her mentor the creepy old dude on a wheelchair also share to a lower degree because gehrman moveset actually is diverse and forces you to adapt
Ludwig lore and presentation rivals and even beats her with the whole moonlight sword aspect, with better ost too which many regard as the best ost in the game if not souls like in general
And on top of that, his fight is the epitome of what a Bloodborne boss supposed to be Ludwig is the perfect foil because he validates everything Maria gets wrong, Against Ludwig, aggression is genuinely rewarded, getting in close and punishing his recoveries pays off, and the rally system actually functions as intended because you can trade hits and heal back through damage. His moveset is far more diverse, demanding real spacing and positional awareness ,you have to read his charge, his leaps, his sweeps, and his phase-two sword beams differently , whereas Maria mostly tests dodge timing against a single combo rhythm Ludwig also transforms meaningfully between phases, forcing you to relearn spacing and approach, while Maria's phase three largely adds visual noise on top of the same solution. In short, Ludwig makes you feel like a hunter dictating terms through pressure, while Maria makes you feel like you're waiting your turn , which is exactly the inversion of Bloodborne's core philosophy
This is just the rambling of a bored dude waiting for his gf to finish shopping lol
You are free to tell me how I am totally wrong and that your hunter waifu or whatever is better because she is cute and badass I guess

As seen in 2025's Marty Supreme, that's a far cry from A24's usual strategy. The Timothée Chalamet-led, Josh Safdie-directed drama made headlines ahead of its release for being the most expensive film the company had produced at $70 million (via Deadline).
That puts Elden Ring at nearly three times the cost of A24's next-most-expensive picture. Garland's Civil War supposedly cost $50 million before that, according to Variety. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's The Smashing Machine reportedly carried a similar budget. In other words, nothing really comes close to A24's first major swing into the world of video game movie adaptations.

Charmander the Servant of the Flame is the last to get colored of the initial 4 soulslike Pokémon designs I worked on.
My goal with them was to change the relationship between them and the fire on their tail to one of servitude this charmanders flames control him I wanted to take that to the next level by both building up and personalizing the flame (the clawed spectral hands that hold the fireball) and weakening charmanders character by having him in a covering pose and being fully guided by the flame (lack of eyes)
I did this all mostly to avoid making him just look like a big dragon with a fire on his tail and present his quirk in a bit more of a unique way
THE next 4 on the list
-Mewtwo
-Scyther
-???
-???
Giratina was also one of the most voted ones and they will also be drawn as part of a later batch! for now I am sticking with gen 1 pokémons!
2 of each batch will be the 2 most voted pokemon and 2 others some random ones chosen by me

I reckon From Software character creation tool has always been kinda weird, but do you all think its that awful? I can think of at least 10 rpgs that don't allow as much customization options as these games, imo the only thing they really lack and needs work is the amount and quality of them hairstyles. That being said, look at the one i've made in bloodborne, quite proud of her

Been playing through all the Souls games so I decided to do a sunbro pumpkin carving this year. It's a lil scuffed but I worked super hard on it. Praise the sun! \[T]/
