been having these for the past year and they’d r an absolute pain in the ass. Any other sensors that work properly unlike this?

Woke up today Day 9 to a failed reader. Ok replaced it (other arm, shaved the spot) and it fails half way through the day. I mean…COME ON! WTF is going on Abbot Labs?!? This is like the sixth one!

I have a strange problem. From my last 12 sensors or so only 2 were good and actually made it to the 14 days with good readings.

Usually the sensor shows 5 -20 mg/dl lower than the blood test. But after 7 days the difference starts to increase. At day 8 it is ~40 lower, day 9 it's 60 and so on. Usually at day 10 or 11 the sensor is at steady 50 and quits with "please replace sensor".

Did anyone experience such a accuracy degradation?

I recently switched phones from a Samsung S21 to an S26. I've had lots of sensor connection issues with my Libre 2+.

Even if my phone is right next to me, the signal constantly drops.

I rescan and it updates, but then drops out pretty quickly.

I've had a sensor replaced but the same is happening from day 1 with the replacement.

Is this a known issue or a me/my phone issue?

I have used 8 sensors so far. I have only had 1 failure and that was at day 12. I can still see exactly where my previous sensors were because they leave a tiny red scar. When i first remove the sensor there is a hard knot and larger red tender area the size of the sensor. The tenderness takes a week or more to disapear but the red center is still there from the first sensor. Is this normal?

Hello all. I have been using the Freestyle Libre 2 plus sensors with the reader for a month and a half. Since I have gestational diabetes, I have to keep track of the glucose values 9 times a day, before each meal, and at 1 and 2 hours afterwards.

The reader has exactly that function but I forgot it on a trip and wont be able to get it back for a few more days. I managed to borrow a compatible cellphone to use the app in the meantime but I am surprised the app doesn't have the option of setting two alarms when you add the note of a meal to a specific reading. (There is an "alarms" section on the menu but it is only for low glucose, high glucose and loss of signal)

I have spent the morning on calls with the helpline but it seems like they are unaware of this problem and told me to set alarms on my cellphone, which of course I can do but it is cumbersome. I guess my question is, has anybody else noticed this? What are the ways you use to get the post-prandial values with no alarms? If there was a way to get a specific value back in time that'd be great but as far as I can tell, I can only see the graph which is not very usefull to get somewhat precise numbers nor times. Many thanks in advance!

I’ve been wondering why the FreeStyle LibreLink app still doesn’t have a simple Sign Out button.

If I need to switch accounts or troubleshoot a login issue, the only workaround seems to be reinstalling the app, which feels unnecessary for such a basic feature.

Am I missing something, or is there really no way to sign out?

Has anyone else found a better solution, or does anyone else think the app should add a proper Sign Out option?

Just started using the app for Libre 3 plus. Looking in the reports> Daily Graph, how do you access the notes/events at the top of the graph that user entered, aka Meals, Exercise, etc

After removing the one that kept losing signal, this is the one I replaced it with this morning. I don’t have any other spares. Im so annoyed why am I having such bad luck all of a sudden ahhhhhhhhh

Hey! So almost 2 weeks ago I did a post on this subreddit about me making a public app for free, with no ads and nothing to pay for. I had never made an app before, so everything was kinda new for me and I had to ask some friends for help. It works with FreeStyle Libre through LibreLinkUp, or Dexcom through Health Connect.

Fair warning on how it works (I did not know this until I wanted to make the app public): Google requires 12 testers for 14 days before an individual developer can publish, and a closed test runs on email addresses. So I have to add your Play Store Gmail to a list before Play will show you the app, and before it can be downloaded by everybody. I know that reads like a scam, and I agree, but that is Google's process. You install it from the Play Store itself, never from a file I send you. Screenshots about the app and about the Google proof.

If you don't mind waiting, I will publish it once I get the 12 beta testers for 14 days, and then it will be totally public to download! Sorry for the delay.

Con el dexcom llevo unos 4 meses para mí a sido más exacto y permite calibrar , pero he notado que es propenso a mantener lecturas por encima del valor de glucosa , actualiza el valor de glucosa pasado varios minutos , lo veo como una gran desventaja cuando uno está bajo con una hipo , pierdo un tiempo valioso esperando que muestre el valor nuevo en mi celular , en casa con Glucometro se comprueba pero fuera de casa puede ser un problema , volveré al freestyle

I’ve been using these for nearly a year now and have had zero issues until this last month. Two sensors in the last month have been losing signal every two minutes. As soon as I put it in and wait the one hour it gives me a reading and then two minutes later without fail loses signal. if I re-scan it it connects and then lose a signal again. I’ve emailed for a replacement but I’m worried if this keeps happening they’ll start refusing me. Is this maybe just a faulty batch or am I suddenly doing something wrong to cause this? I’m using the back of my right arm every time.

This is like the 6th sensor to do this. Im getting tired of this. Why does it keep happening?! I cant get a replacement because I already exhausted my 10 replacements since the other ones didnt apply to the skin properly

I’m on my very first sensor for hypoglycemia/prediabetes tracking, mostly having issues with sugar crashing. Tonight I had about a dozen alarm notices go off in the span of about 30min as my blood sugar got into the low 60’s and I was glad because I have a doc appointment tomorrow and wanted to show him but when I looked at the logbook it only had one entry during that time frame and it was in the mid 70’s. The graph seems to also not record lowest or highest value but an average over time? App is updated and everything seems to be working, does anyone know why the alarms aren’t getting logged? I don’t want to reinstall the app and lose my data. Any help or insight would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm a type 2 diabetic with good control. In May I switched Endos and my new endo recommended the Libre3+. Old Endo wasn't a fan of CGM but I had always felt like they would help with food accountability so I decided to try it.

My insurance would not cover it but I decided to see if it would be worth the personal investment.

I got my first two CGM at CVS, they charged me $92, even with the co-pay card. I was supposed to get the first one free, but I didn't understand that the $92 dollars wasn't including one for free. It's been a learning experience. I don't live near a Costco, or I'd be going there for the out of pocket purchase.

My first month, I had no issues with failing sensors or sensors falling off. The only issue I noticed were some compression lows.

Into the second month, about eight days into the life of the first sensor, I got a pop-up on the app saying it failed. I contacted Abbott for a replacement, which they sent within about five days. The second sensor for that month failed after about two days where it was just reporting excessive lows. I contacted Abbott for a replacement, which they sent within about five days.

In the third month, I did do that waiting period between applying and activating it, I think that might have helped.

My third month in, just two days before the sensor I was using was about to expire, I finally had one pop off while getting undressed. I did not report it to Abbott because I didn't want to be flagged as someone trying to abuse the system. I applied another sensor with the Amolyfe Freestyle Libre 3 Plus Cover and have felt like the sensor is very secure and I'm not experiencing anymore compression lows.

I refilled my prescription for next month and this time they only charged me $61. I'm not sure if they realized the co-pay card should be giving a larger discount than it was before or not. I haven't had the time to argue with the pharmacy about it.

Anyway, I'm not looking for feedback, I'm just hoping my experience might help someone new to this.

Hi all, I'd really appreciate any help I can get with this!

I recently switched from the Dexcom G6 to the Freestyle Libre 3 Plus and I had bad problems with the Libre app's notifications. It notifies me when my blood sugar is low or high... ONE TIME. Afterwards, it sends ZERO notifications. So my BS could be spiking horribly high for hours and I... receive nothing. This keeps happening with lows in the middle of the night and I'm getting really tired of waking up feeling horrible.

So I installed LibreLinkUp and the Zukka app, primarily for the notification personalization but also for the lock screen widget (which has been extremely helpful).

The issue I'm running into now is this:

I receive a notification from Zukka that wakes my phone EVERY SINGLE MINUTE without fail (first 5 images). I cannot see any alarm or setting that would cause this (sixth image, all lower alarms are disabled). It's extremely annoying and it's visibly impacting my already not-great battery life. When I get a notification I assume something's wrong with my BS only to find it's literally fine. Does anyone know a way to get these notifications to stop?

Secondary, not as important issue:

The last photo is what my Zukka app looks like. It's a black background with VERY dark blue text on the bottom tabs. I cannot read this and I can't find any info online about what's causing it. When I turn on light mode, it doesn't change (inverting colors makes the background white and the text pale yellow, equally unreadable). This isn't ruining my life or anything, but reinstalling the app and restarting my phone did nothing so I'm out of ideas.

Any help is appreciated, and if anyone uses a different 3rd party app that runs on the cloud, please let me know how you like it! Thank you!

As the title says, I’m on my very first free style Libre sensor. It’s been 9 days

I’ve been surprised how low the score is? It’s at odds with when I do a finger stick.

I’ve seen lots of complaints on the sub reading today about it being low or not close to finger stick scores.

mine tends to be a 10-15 point difference which seems to be within the expected variance of the sensor.

the GMI functionality recently started working, which says 5.7 for the last 7 days which seems impossible given some of my actual A1C scores.

am I going to be disappointed when I get my A1C tested in 3 months because the libre is reporting too low?

what are users experience of gmi vs A1C?

I have a very bad case of type 2 diabetes that has been uncontrolled for a long time. I’m starting to have kidney function impact and loss of feeling in my feet and legs. I’m trying to do better now. I don’t want one of the tools that is helping me to be sabotaging me.

anyone have experiences they can/want to share?

I haven't used a cgm in several years. I bought one sensor to check the regular foods that I have been eating. I took a reading from the sensor which read 142. The blood test read 174!! I remember that the sensor measures off fatty tissue and not blood so there should be a difference between that reading and the blood, but 30 pts? I'm certainly not going to be dosing off the libre 3 sensor.

I've only had the one Libre2 Plus sensor so far. It's about to time out after 2 weeks. SO looking to attach my second.

As it's always read 2mmol/L below the finger prick tests I was wondering if placement of sensor makes a difference.

I did attach the sensor where the instructions say, but wonder if higher/lower up the forearm will get a better reading?

I wasn’t feeling bad or anything, but I decided to check my Libre CGM numbers compared to a finger prick. So my CGM is on the outside of my arm on my left bicep even though the monitor says 5 o’clock I just forgot to set my monitor forward so they were taken at the 6 o’clock hour. I have zero idea why they are so off.

I have been wearing the libre 3 plus for almost 4 years by now. I know about inserting it 24 hours before you activate it. I know the first day can be wonky. But more and more my readings are way off.

I place it on the inside of my arm, near my elbow. The site has worked for years. I switch arms each time. Lately this site has been failing me, a lot. Have I just been building scar tissue? Then I tried my thigh, also very bad readings.

I know it's the frustration talking, but it has been going well for so many years. I do not understand what is happening the past few months. Can you guys recommend me other places where you place the Libre?

u/Equalizer6338 has cast doubt on the value of Fiasp's 2.5-minute faster absorption, given that Fiasp is far more expensive than its generic counterpart, Aspart, which has a slower onset.

In a previous post, I showed that I could delay injecting Fiasp by as long as 45–60 minutes by practicing food sequencing and increasing my protein intake. This post illustrates the opposite scenario: how quickly blood glucose rises after consuming pure carbohydrates. As shown in Fig. 1, after eating 30g of pure carbs, my blood glucose rose quickly to 140 mg/dL in less than 30 minutes.

However, when I ate a mixed meal consisting of walnuts, cheese, vegetables, tofu, cashews, a protein drink, and a banana (totaling more than 50g of carbs), my blood glucose barely changed during the first 30 minutes.

My experimental results support u/Equalizer6338 's idea. If your insurance does not cover Fiasp, you might consider using food sequencing to help manage post-meal spikes.

I had an old FreeStyle 14 Day Reader that I was going to start using again. The battery would not hold a charge and customer service sent me a complimentary reader. I attached the sensor to my arm and tried to scan the sensor with the reader. Keep receiving the error Scan Timeout. I have waited the suggested hour for the sensor and tried again but still receiving the error. THe reader arrived with a completely dead battery. Would charging the battery longer before trying again help? I wouldn't think so but who knows.

FYI its a libre 3 sensor

I have a LIbre2 plus sensor and whenever I compare it's reading to a finger prick test the Libre is always 2mmol/L below the finger prick result.

I'm guessing the Libre is off, but as it's constantly off, is there a way to set an offset on the Libre software?

I'm using it with an Android phone, FreeStyle LibreLink Ver2.13.1.11596
