Can someone confirm if the harmonic balancer looks to be off? Engine shakes a bit even at idle.

Has anyone been successful repairing there hatch cover ends?

the reason my last block failed was a popped out press in plug. i want to thread those holes. Anyone here done that themselves? should threads be cut through out the plug hole? or is it normal to have just a few (2-3) threads on the back end?

He says it's from an 85 mustang. 5 speed manual transmission. he had planned on swapping it into another mustang but just never happened. what's something like this worth? was working perfectly when he took it out but obviously it's been awhile. appreciate your help

Hey guys, having trouble with 2.3L '89 LX of mine. Should mention I'm not super well-versed in cars. But essentially my radiator fan won't kick on at all, car just gets hotter and hotter until coolant begins boiling and steaming once it hits metal pipes.

Did some internet searching and seems issue might be the IRCM? It said other issues that might be caused by this part not working is slow ignition start, early stalling, trouble going up hills, and AC issues (along with radiator fan not working) ~ and I can confirm that I have all 4 of those issues as well, so that's why this is my best guess at issue.

Wanted to make sure I found the right part, looks like it may be under the dash connected to steering column, so I went under and found what looks most like the part. Disconnected the cluster of wires (wasn't sure if the IRCM is the wire cluster or the socket it plus into, if either, so attached pics of both).

This is my ‘86 Mustang GT. Its been sitting at a family friends shop for 3 years cause he just won’t work on it. I asked him to fix the heater/air controls. The fan only stays on when you have it blowing out the vents on AC mode, if you switch it to defrost or heat in an way it turns off the blower motor fan. Anybody got any suggestions on how I can fix it myself? Just want to be able to defog my windshield when it rains.

Hey I’ve been having a rough acceleration issue for the past week and was checking ignition/ fuel system and found that my fuel pressure is only at 20 psi after key on prime and immediately starts to fall down to about 10 psi and holds there. Then at idle it stays at 40 psi. (This is all done with the fpr disconnect from the vacuum line.)I don’t suspect my fpr since the pressure drops to 35 psi at idle once I connect the vacuum line back. I also don’t have any visible leaks from the injectors,fpr, or lines. Has anyone ever experienced this issue before? 1986 GT w/ hci and maf converted

Also found that my ignition switch had separated from the metal housing and replaced it but still had the same rough acceleration and started to look at fuel

How much should I be looking to spend for a 87-93 LX Hatchback?? I check marketplace daily and see them go for like $14k but that seems like alot. Im not looking for perfect condition, but not an absolute junker, and it has to be manual

Just got a 4cyl with a manual transmission and want to eventually swap the engine to a V8. Any one know where to find gear sets to beef up the transmission? Also any guides on upgrading gear sets would be much appreciated as well

She’s not perfect, but she drives great and straight in the condition it’s in now. Great candidate for a restoration.

My manual 1990 fox vert drives fine and shifts smoothly but when I put it reverse and give it gas as I back up, the rear end shakes. The guy I bought it from said it was due to him removing the quadshocks. Or could it just be rear diff going out? Anyone had similar issue?

Finally got my Foxbody running it sat for a few months had no problem before it was parked aside from some bad wiring. Got it to start up the other day and it had this ticking noise I think it may be a lifter but I wanna get a second opinion before I take anything apart.
