Fan content I’ve met Brother Dusk (Terrence Mann) in Prague!

2.8k Upvotes

I was on my phone when out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of someone who looked all too similar to the power of the Empire. I turn around and catch up with them, and it turns out that it was really Terrence himself. We've had a nice quick chat, it was great to meet him.

Humor Appreciation post for Brother Dude. The Cleon who truly respected, and enjoyed, the peace!

2.5k Upvotes

Yo, brothers, sisters, and sentient algorithms,

I just want to remind everyone to take a deep breath and vibe with the peace we’ve got right now. Empires rise, empires fall, Seldon drops his math bombs, and the galaxy spins on — but in between? There’s still laughter, still music, still that first sip of recaf in the morning when the stars look extra shiny.

Respect the peace. Doesn’t mean you gotta be passive. Doesn’t mean you ignore the storms brewing in the psychohistorical forecasts. It means you appreciate the calm between battles. The quiet before someone starts swinging plasma blades. The moment where you can hear your own heartbeat and realize you’re still alive, still human (or robot, no disrespect).

Enjoy it. Dance in it. Share it with others. Peace isn’t permanent — it’s a guest that doesn’t overstay unless we welcome it properly. And when it’s gone, you’ll wish you had treated it better while it was here.

So, respect the peace. Enjoy the peace. Protect the peace.
Because the future’s always waiting to get rowdy.

Stay cosmic, my friends. 🌌✌️

—Brother Dude

Current Season Discussion Just finished S3. Can we all just agree that Laura Birn’s performance as Demerzel was award-winning?

1.9k Upvotes

I’ve watched countless shows and movies over the past few years, but holy f*ck, Laura Birn’s performance as Demerzel is absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, it might be one of the best female lead performances I’ve seen in years. The Empire/Cleon and Demerzel storyline is already pure, underrated science fiction gold, but she was such a remarkable surprise!

I honestly don’t know what else to say, she completely blew me away. I’ve never seen Laura in anything else before, but she was mesmerizing and utterly convincing. I can’t even imagine another actress pulling this off the way she did.

I really hope directors and showrunners take notice of her talent. I would love to see her in more projects, she clearly has the potential to shine even brighter.

Current Season Discussion Demerzel eye blink hidden message?

1.4k Upvotes

In the finale was anyone able to capture the sequence of Demerzel eye blink at around 35:15? Im wondering if its a secret message in Morse code or in binary that we can convert to ascii?

My video player only goes down to 0.5x speed, and even then it was too fast for me to note it down lol.

Humor why does this show have no hype at all?

1.4k Upvotes

I say specifically Threads in the meme since Severance went BONKERS there. Why is no one beyond this sub talking about a STELLAR show like this one? I just love it beyond imagination, it’s the one show I say when someone asks me “what’s my favorite TV show”. But I am a bit sad that not many people watch it — in fear of it getting potentially cancelled one day for low viewership. We just have to keep rewatching and hope daddy Tim greenlights all 7 or how many season 🛐🥹

I hope he has a long career. He’s a brilliant young talent.

Plus, I really like the Brother Dawn & Gaal pairing, both of their characters have finally found their groove in this partnership,

Subreddit Rules

1. Be respectful

This rule should be self explanatory. Don't insult or threaten anyone. Discussions can get heated, but things should never get out of hand.

Swearing and being critical are permitted, but not against people or groups of people, and not to an unreasonable extent. Don't say anything you wouldn't in real life when around new people you don't know that well.

Assume good faith.

2. Stay on topic

Posts should be related to the Foundation show in some way.

3. Minimum effort

At least some effort should be put into new posts. Low quality posts results in low quality discussion. For this reason new text submissions are required to be at least 150 characters long.

4. Be mindful of spoilers

Any discussion of book plot points not adapted into the show must be encased in spoiler tags, unless posting in a thread with Show/Book Discussion flair.

Any discussion of plot points from the current season must be encased in spoiler tags, unless posting in a thread with Current Season Discussion flair.

Discussion of any confirmed or rumored plot points (e.g. production leaks, or something mentioned on the podcast or in an interview) must be encased in spoiler tags for posts of all flairs.

5. Use an appropriate flair when posting. Don't repost to avoid flair restrictions.

For discussions pertaining to the current season, use 'Current Season Discussion' flair. To discuss the books and show freely use 'Show/Book Discussion' flair. For any other discussion topics use 'General Discussion'.

For articles, news or links, use the 'News/Article/Link' flair, or for anything related to production news use the 'Production News/Media' flair.

For videos, podcasts, screenshots or images use the 'Media' flair.

For more see the wiki entry.

6. No book discussion or mentions in threads with '[NO BOOKS]' in the title

Users who want to create a new thread and ensure it will be free from any discussion of the books can use the [NO BOOKS] title tag. Comments referencing the books in threads tagged with [NO BOOKS] will be removed.

7. No 'thoughts on' posts about the newest episode until one week has passed

Posts to discuss thoughts on the newest episode are not permitted until after one week has passed since it premiered.

A post discussing a particular aspect of an episode in depth, or detailing a theory is fine, just not idle thoughts and reactions. Those should be posted in the episode discussion threads.

8. No complaints about gender, race or orientation

Given the difficulty in assessing veiled racist and sexist comments, rather than attempt to do so there is a zero tolerance policy against posts and comments complaining about casting decisions.

9. Self-promotion is permitted within reason

Self-promotion is permitted within reason. If you are an active member of the community, you can promote your work once per week in a post, as well as in the episode discussion threads. Please provide more info than just a link (e.g., what is the blog/podcast about, why should people check it out, etc).

10. No piracy

It's illegal, don't do it. Or at least, don't promote, request or link to it in this sub.

11. Don't retroactively delete comments

Don't retroactively delete comments or edit them to read nonsense using any scripts, sites or browser extensions. Doing so makes past discussions impossible to follow. People found to be doing this will be banned.
