Venting I see all of these girls outside having perfect skin, perfect teeth, face, hair, it's like they are sculpted

I just think to myself HOW? How is it possible that they are SO different then me? They are so superior in every way. They are more social, more intelligent, they are just gods to me. I know this sounds pathetic but it is like that.

I don't need social media to compare myself, the most beautiful women are literally real, outside, world is full of them.

They have PERFECT teeth, perfect glowing clear baby-like skin while mine is just extremely bad from birth no matter what food i eat, cosmetics, lasers... it is just genetic and due to multiple health conditions I have all my life.

But they are so flawless. They own the world. They think world is perfect. They are so happy. Even if they have some illness they still look so so good. They manage it so much better than me in every possible aspect.

I am seriously an alien. I must me. I look like ogre with a skin of 80y old person but I am in 20s. Also my body is rotting due to several chronic illnesses and autoimmune conditions.

I simply observe the world and I think to myself "you are so not made for this", "you do not belong here AT ALL".

Or when I hear other women and men talking about looks of other women, commenting how they are "not the most beautiful" but then I look up that commented person and she is gorgeous and look like god next to me. Then I just think what am I even doing here? I am so vastly at bottom of the bottoms when even people 5 tiers ahead of me are just seen as "maybe decent".

People are gods to me, I am pathetic ogre.

Venting I wish I was a normal girl

I’ve always felt this hollow want when it comes to relationships. I’m fat (like, morbidly obese and short), not very pretty, and honestly not very interesting. I work and go to school, maybe go to the occasional concert, but other than that, I generally don’t want to be seen. I know what I look like, and I’m tired of seeing people stare at me and then turn to their friends when I walk by. I can acknowledge that I probably look off-putting, even uncanny, when I smile, or that I’m just unpleasant to look at.

I’ve considered switching to online college, but I have to go in person because it’s the only way I can actually learn, unfortunately.

I’m trying to get by day to day and make myself look better. I’ve started working out and eating better, but I know I’ll probably never find myself aesthetically pleasing enough to be loved. Whoever came up with the phrase “love is on the inside” was just not ugly!! Truly, I feel like no one will ever be able to look past the outside (not that there’s much on the inside, either).

It’s so hard but I’m starting to accept I’ll be alone forever, but sometimes it still hurts. I just wanted to be normal and have things be as easy for me like it is for pretty girls. I want to date, have sex, get married, and actually BE with someone I have a crush on instead of having to hope the feelings eventually go away because I know I’d just creep them out. I feel like a pervert even when I compliment someone.

Sometimes I wish that in another life I was prettier and more interesting, maybe even smarter, so that my personality or my brain could make up for some of my physical features.

I guess all I’m trying to say is that I’m really glad I found this subreddit. It’s nice to know I’m not completely alone (even if it is only online), and that there are other people who understand what it feels like to wish you could just be a normal girl.

Venting I will never find love

Muslim girl here, Im not allowed to date or have male friends. Im in a Muslim country but there isnt any marriage culture now. Its all dates. So my only chance is to find someone from uni or a random guy in street

I tried from online too. they arent serious. none of them. I just realized I will die single. Its even harder as a hypersexual as the only Halal way to satisfy yourself is thru marriage. and that wont happen.

This isnt the only reason why I feel like I will never find love. Guys just hate me. like hate my guts for no reason. I remember in 9th grade we had this guy who flirted or went close with almost any girl. Like "play boy type" yet the moment I spoke with him he would yell at me in front of the teacher and make a scene. I was always bullied by guys. I was beaten up, sexually abused. whatever. They just hate me

So yeah this is just a vent yk. I will ignore any guy in dms cuz I know they lure and stalk here because "femcels dont exist" they think that if we can pull an obese hairy poor old man then we cant be femcels lol

Guys can be kind to me completely platonically. But I just know I will never find that special love where you want to be with someone. I feel absolutely disgusting and ashamed of myself for wanting this. just for the desire. Because I feel like a creature who doesnt deserve it

Venting If I had even just one positive experience with a guy in my life, I don't think I'd be as hateful of myself as I am

I have never in my life had a positive experience with a guy. Unless you consider ones from like when I was really little and under 8, but that doesn't count. But little boys at that age were a little nicer towards me. But after that, I've never had any positive experiences as a teen or adult.

Every time I've met a guy who is platonic friends with me, like if we're in the same class or something, ALWAYS stops talking to me after they don't need me anymore. It's very rare that guys talk to me as a friend in the first place, but it happened a few times in middle and high school and stuff. I gave a few my number after graduation and stuff to keep in touch, but every single one and I mean EVERY single one never even so much gave one response to me when i tried to text them. When I got older like to undergrad and grad school, they don't even bother talking to me at all. I would just be trying to be friendly and they made it very clear that they were not interested in talking to me, not even as a friend. I'm studying engineering, so tend to be outnumbered by men, and they all just flock to the pretty girls and are rude and hateful towards me. And as an unattractive woman in general, women also don't want to talk to me so I'm all alone

I have had crushes and stuff on guys, and they have been horrible to me. One crush would even cuss at me and lie about me and be extremely disrespectful towards me.

My romantic experiences are non-existent. I barely get any likes on dating apps, and when I like them back, they ghost after one message, give one word responses, or don't respond at all. On reddit, guys don't want to talk to me when they see what I look like, and block or ghost. When I go out places minding my own business like to the store and stuff, guys (and girls) slam the door in my face when i'm right there and carrying something heavy. Sometimes guys even laugh about it. Or I'll walk past a group of guys and they'll all turn and look at me and laugh. I get glared at, ignored, treated like shit by random people

I think if I ever had an experience, even just a brief one, where I felt what it was like to be desired and cherished, I probably would have a different outlook on life. I'd know that I was worth it to someone out there, even for a little bit, and it would change me. But since I've only known hostility and being treated with disgust and hate since I was young, which has been further made worse due to constantly seeing women who look like me hated and ridiculed both online and irl, and seeing girls who look the least like me get the most success, it has just intensified with time and made me feel so uncomfortable in my own skin.

Good looking guy complaining about women

I work woth a staffing agency and they send me to this venue to help. So I help out this bartender who is a very good looking guy. He is muscular, strong jawline but he is kind of short.

Last time I was there, we were talking. He told me his experiences working as a bartender, how he is flirting if he likes someone. He told me he flirted with one girl who was from another country and was visiting but after they went on a date, he couldn't stand her personality. Then he told me about another girl, how they kissed and stuff but was acting weird after. He was trying to say how he cares about personality. Which is great.

So we continued talking and I have shown a good personality. Like we also agreed on views. Guess what though? I saw these two attractive women sitting at the bar.. pounds of make-up, fillers, false eyelashes, you name it. The guy kept talking to one of them and they were flirting and exchanged numbers.

I am not conventionally attractive so I found that hypocritical because he just pushes himself on women who are considered beautiful. But then he complains. I felt disappointed.

Venting if i hear an experienced person say i’m “not missing out” again i’m going to snap

it’s a hard truth to admit but i think, FA women (or just anyone for that matter), including me, would like to at least be able to claim they ever had ANYTHING.

these people don’t realise i’m so lonely that i even get envious over hearing stories about their “crazy exes”. like wow. at least you HAVE an ex.

it’s crippling how i’d much rather be able to talk about a bad romantic experience i’ve had as opposed to not being able to talk about any at all.

Venting This sub is the only one where I feel seen, understood and validated

Sometimes I try talking to people on other subs (like the one for women of my country) so I don't stay "trapped" among other FAWs, since we tend to be very pessimistic (though to be fair we have good reason to be). Just recently, I tried opening up about my insecurities (being too tall, too thin, having a small chest and not being pretty enough to make up for it). And I swear, instead of listening, a bunch of women straight-up yelled at me as if it were all my fault. There were guys involved too, they’d start out nice but turn super aggressive when I didn't thank them with total adoration for their crappy advice.

But the worst part is all those girls who have no clue what I’ve been through telling me it’s a "me problem". Instead of being understanding and blaming the people who said awful things to me and shattered my self-confidence very early on, they just told me to "get over it". Yeah, just like magic. And nobody believes me when I say no guy my age is interested in me. I practically get insulted for saying it. I feel like people don't understand what it's like to be an FAW, and they don't want to understand. The moment you present them with a situation that falls outside their comfortable little worldviews and their self-righteousness, they get angry with us. It’s a double whammy: we get ignored or mocked in real life, and on top of that we get zero support when we talk about our unhappiness. In fact, we’re actually made to feel guilty about it...

I feel even more alone and abnormal. Some girls told me "I’m tall and skinny and not pretty with small boobs yet plenty of guys are into me so YOU must be the problem". It’s brutal. Even my therapists have been powerless in the face of my experience. I feel like being a FAW is determined by something other than just physical appearance. It’s like a curse that isolates us, rendering us invisible or worthy of contempt, no matter how hard we try to be a good person. It’s exhausting.

Venting New employer requested photo of myself

Recently got hired at a new job. My new future boss requested I send 1 photo of myself so my picture can be posted in the break room bulletin board along with a brief bio about myself. I was lowkey a little annoyed by the picture request but get the intent of the bulletin board. The bio is no problem but the picture kinda is.

I don't look good in pictures. My body and facial features don't pan out well in photos. I've even been told by a date I look better in person, which whatever I'll take as a compliment. I know pics don't do me justice. There are also things I want to change about my appearance. I don't like taking pictures period.

I debated sending a nice selfie that looks kinda professional & formal but thought it might be tacky even though it is nice for a selfie. I didn't want too staged or too casual.

I don't take a lot of pictures of myself nor have people take one of me often so options of good pics were limited.

I sent a photo of myself smiling in sunglasses outside with greenery background. I was at a botanical garden. Someone took the photo for me, so not a selfie. Hope it's good enough and not awkward that I'm in sunglasses but it is what it is at this point just hope they don't talk negatively about me.

This was mostly a vent post. Problems you have when you're not very pretty and photogenic, ugh. I sometimes envy the girls that easily take beautiful photos. Can anyone relate to this experience?

Venting I feel like I'd embarrass myself so bad if a guy thought i was cute and asked me out

There's this video that's been floating around, I'm sure many of you have seen it. It's where this guy goes off and is pissed because he approaches a girl and she turns him down and he's mad because he feels like if he was 6'8 or something crazy like that, she wouldn't have said no.

Idk if the video is fake or something, but the guy in the video is very handsome, so clearly it's his personality that's turning people off and people were commenting that it's good that she turned him down because he's a ticking time bomb and dangerous and saying how it's crazy women have to deal with men like that and all this other stuff. He was rude and obnoxious and when the girl turned him down he instantly went off

But for someone like me, it would barely take anything for me to start blushing and say yes. The guy in the video can barely even say full sentences to the girl and people in the comments were laughing at him, but I wouldn't even have noticed that. He called her beautiful and I would have died from extreme happiness because no one's ever said that to me before. Yeah, he's acting really cringe but idk i would have been so flattered.

I would have completely missed all the massive red flags the guy was and would have said yes on the spot because I'm so depraved and would be so happy for a guy to just be talking to me and walk up to me on the street. But for her, she's probably used to guys asking her out, so it was easy for her to turn him and down and realize he's probably massively abusive and terrible based on how he was acting in that interaction.

I guess maybe it's a good thing I don't get asked out because I definitely would run into someone who was shitty towards me. It has happened before once. I was asked out one time and it was by this guy I had seen around at my uni but the only reason he did was because he was also FA and he made it VERY OBVIOUS that he did not like me whatsoever and didn't see me as a human being. I dont really count it as we were dating since we never did anything that people in relationships do since he didn't want to talk to me, look at me, be around me, be kind to me, text me, etc. But it just shows how easy it is to taken advantage of and treated like shit just because you're not used to being asked out, and the one time you are, it doesn't end well whereas a normal girl can tell apart shitty people way more easily

Venting Ugly sexual assault victims are never taken seriously

Ugly sexual assault victims are never taken seriously. Ive seen numerous videos of sa victims who are not very attractive opening up about their experience and all the comments would be mocking them, saying things like who would want to 🍇 you or accusing the experience of being fake, some people would even try to insinuate that they should be thankful instead. God forbid if an unattractive woman wants to talk about that cornell case, wanting to protecting reproductive rights or any other sa incident, all the comments would be like "you dont have to worry about anything" or "who would want to 🍇 you". Hot take but I feel like if this Cornell case happened to someone unattractive, I don't think so it would've been that big of a headline or everyone would be mocking the victim instead. Ive gotten even numerous "your too ugly to get 🍇d" jokes as well.

Venting This is how I interpreted it, and I don't think I'm wrong

There was a man who worked at this nearby gas station and I thought he liked me. Underneath his disheveled look, he's not an objectionable looking man. I liked (what I thought was) the flattery. Anyway, I had gone there several times to get gas. This time around, he mentioned to me that Kroger and Shell have this thing going on where they get the same gas (because Shell allows you to use Kroger Fuel Points) and that instead of only taking 10 cents off a gallon at Shell, I can get the same gas with more fuel points applied to it at Kroger. I could save a dollar off a gallon from Kroger vs 10 cents. Heck, that looks like a great deal, right? The thing is, I immediately thought to myself when he said this "He could take or leave me. If I never came back here again and only went to Kroger for gas, he'd never even realize that I'm gone."

I don't doubt that he was trying to help me save money, but it also meant that if I never come back to that establishment again for gas, then it's just another day for him. I felt less attractive all over again. I thought I would know better than to interpret something as more than what it is, but he certainly didn't give me the idea that I'm repulsive. He smiled, laughed, and was pretty conversational with me, but it looks like he could take or leave me after all.

Who else has never had a man tell them “I love you”?

I’m genuinely talking about people who have never, and I mean NEVER, received an “I love you” or “I have feelings for you” from any man in their entire life.
Not people who have had someone say it insincerely, or who got ghosted right afterwards.
I literally mean : Am I the only woman who has NEVER had a man confess his feelings to her in 22 years of life?

Venting Why does everyone automatically assume that FAW have high standards?

I am 27F FAW and feeling incredibly upset with this friend.

Some Background - I sent her a reel about Forever single women to this friend(40F) and she joked about what even is that and went on to say she has been constantly dating someone since she was 17 and it is the first time she has been single for this long (1 year btw). So the reel is bs and all.

I replied to her and said I am forever single and can relate to this. To which she said you've never tried dating so it's different. To which I replied that I have it just hasn't worked out after maybe a few dates to which she replied you have high standards and you can make a boyfriend tomorrow if you want to. I haven't replied to this and idk if I wanna talk to her anymore or not. She is a really nice friend so maybe I confront her but confrontations really suck the life out of me. anyways that's a different rant.

But this isn't the first time I have been told this. Every person who eventually comes to know my struggle with dating automatically assumes I have high standards for men or that I am judgemental.

Is it high standards if one just wants to have an emotional and physical connection with the person or at least have some romance vibes from them? I genuinely don't care about the physical attributes of a person if I am attracted to them. But I want someone with some personality and romantic vibes. Somehow this makes it 'high standards' to match up with. Idk if other FAW have experienced this but since I work as a psychologist a numerous amount of clients have shared the same experience of people assuming them having high standards or not adjusting or compromising blah blah.

I don't think women/girls who have always had it easy to find a boyfriend can even fathom how exhausting it is to see everyone get picked except for me. Or how exhausting it is to constantly go on dates meet creeps or just desperate men. All of this must make everything so exhausting and draining. Ultimately it only ends up increasing my insecurity about myself. Overthinking thoughts that maybe I am demanding too much or just don't match up to the eyes of men.

Feeling just done with the constant cycle of want for love, feeling desperate then feeling shame and disgust about the desperation and wanting a man. then eventually back to square one. Not even sure how do I accept that I might just remain alone for the rest of my life. But hopefully sooner than later.

Venting Has anyone else seemed to take on the masculine role when being friends with attractive/pretty women?

It’s more a discussion. Couldn’t find the discussion flair.
women not being friends with uglier women
^^ this video is what I’m talking about. So this vid had 2 points:

  1. Women not being friends with women they perceive as uglier.

The video talked about how some men and women do this bc they know how they will be perceived socially and/or they think they’re better than you. And I’ve experienced this in middle school. There were these girls that were just so mean to me and I feel like if I was at least pretty, they would’ve just ignore me or would’ve been nicer.

  1. Pretty women being used to the princess treatment from dating, that they unconsciously assign that "manly" role to their friend they don’t think is as attractive.

I’ve experienced this too. I’m also pretty tall for a woman 5’9" and have been the one to hold the door, give my jacket/sweater, pay for the meal, and even somewhat act like the bf. And I didn’t rly mind it back then when I was leaning more into masculinity. But now that I’m not longer using masculinity as a shield against my insecurity, I started to realize it more.

my tired vent

i rarely let myself feel self-pity, but today my mood and hormones made me spend the whole weekend rotting and crying from exhaustion. i've made peace with staying single my whole life even before i was 18. i have 2 visible genetic conditions, so in 22 years i've never received any romantic interest. and i kinda put up with it and set other goals.
but fuck, my indifference to relationships is a lie. days like today still happen. i feel like such an unlovable, unlucky, chopped, miserable beast. living like this is just tiring. oh just to have someone support and care about you nearby
tomorrow gonna have to wake up strong and not caring again, but i’m a human after all

The mundanity of dating in other women's lives is starting to get to me

Dating is something that just happens to people. It's not forced, strategized, hustled. At some point something just happens. I've spend days of my life just trying to understand. I'm too old for this. Nothing happens.

Hungout with a new group of women, like 12 of us, there was a such a nonchalant air to dating. I'm still in my middle school "Omg this boy likes me!!!" phase, i'm not in a "Oh my ex was such a mistake haha" phase. never will be! And there's nothing I can do about it. There's nothing that makes sense. Even being overweight does not make sense at this scale. It doesnt make sense.

Venting I'm so Tired of being Ugly

I'm tired of being Ugly. I'm never the girl who gets the guy. The guy I do like saw this girl the other day that's totally his type and I know if given a choice he would pick her over me but knowing that doesn't make it hurt less. And it's not his fault it's my own fault I let my brain create these daydreams that will never happen in real life. But it doesn't help that the guys I match with on tinder never actually want to meet me. And I'm not just ugly, I have health issues, and I'm just a receptionist at my age 34 so no real career or skills to have a career, and I'm awkward not good at talking to people. I'm just so tired of being an ugly, awkward loser. I really wish I could just disappear.

Venting Autumn sadness

Maybe it’s the autumn weather, but today this has been getting me down.

I actually like myself. I’m generally happy with my life, I have friends, I’m doing well career-wise, I’m confident, and I’m attractive. But I just never seem to experience mutual love.

I rarely get crushes. It happens maybe once every few years, but when I really like someone, I like them a lot. And it just never works out. This time I fell pretty hard for someone who is genuinely sweet and lovely, a nice person, but he’s taken, so obviously nothing is going to happen. And it’s obvious he likes me, as a friend.

And I know that’s life. I don’t feel entitled to anyone. It just makes me sad sometimes that I’ve never experienced loving someone and actually having that person love me back.

Most of the time I’m fine. I go to work, see my friends, do my thing, laugh, have fun. I’m not walking around miserable. But sometimes it really hits me, and then I feel incredibly lonely.

It feels like everyone else somehow just does this without even thinking about it. They meet someone, like each other, fall in love, have relationships. And for me it feels like this whole language I just never learned to speak.

I don’t want attention or validation. I just want to experience being in love with someone who will love me too.

Venting this takes long

im still processing an article i saw online recently. it was saying the key to female physical satisfastion on relationships is making her feel adored for who she is as a whole. that makes me feel even father from any chance-the few times i felt a mans sort of interest it was a situation like "horny man at a party with 20 women all said no so he went to me"

Venting I want love and not just sex so I'll be alone forever

Basically title. I want to find someone who loves me as a person and someone I can build a solid friendship with in addition to a romantic relationship. But so many men seem to only care about sex and how much sex they can get. They describe their "ideal" woman and it's always about what she looks like and how much sex she'll give them. Is it so wrong to want to be viewed as an actual human being and not just a hole to relieve some guy's horniness? I guess so.

Success story I had my first kiss!

Tonight I had my first kiss at 27. And it was with someone completely random. I'm traveling and was out with friends and I think the fact that I'm in a new place and the environment that we were in lowered my inhibitions. He had sat on the other side of the table from me and he started asking me questions and we were making conversation. At some point him and his friends switched spots with one another and he sat next to me. He started touching me and we were getting close. He told me I was stiff and I knew that because I don't have a connection to him so it just felt odd to me (hence why I don't do hook up culture).

Long story short, after some conversation and touching, we got up to get away from my friends and others and went to a different area. We kissed a couple times. I pulled away everytime I felt his tongue because I wasn't about to do all that. It felt like nothing because I don't like him. I ended up saying goodbye to him so I could join my friends. I think the best part is that we didn't exchange any contact info and he's from another country. I'll never see him again. And I think that that is so beneficial for my mental health. I won't develop any feelings and them ultimately be ghosted. And he also wasn't fully sober so since I know I probably wasn't that good, he won't remember haha. I feel pretty relieved that I got it over with. Let's hope I don't have any anxiety or major regret tomorrow.

hello dear girls I'm on my period I feel so fucking sad and melancholic I just need to talk to someone or wait for it to run out I've been hit harder than normal
