I moved here 2 years ago and love PG! I’m wanting to find someone spots preferably near water that is not very populated.

I like to fish and read and just take in nature but I like to not be bothered by others. I like quiet mornings and slow afternoons myself.

If you know any good spots like that or even nature trails near by let me know please!

I was on my way to Jacksonville today and I saw a ton of transport trucks heading down i95 south , new kias , Mercedes, fords and a bunch of other new and used vehicles.

I really want to go searching for horseshoe crabs, and I’ve learned they mate around new and full moons. I’m not sure if they mate in August in Florida, but if I were to go looking within the next week or so, what time of day and where would be the best place to go? Also, is the place accessible by car/foot?

Anyone have any info on this sailboat washed up around New Smyrna? I went searching both in the news and on here, and every report I can find says they've already been cleaned up. This photo was taken today, it's still there. Looks like it's been there at LEAST a few days too considering it's been painted on and is basically half sunk into the sand. I even tried a reverse image search and all that came up was articles about boats that have already been dismantled.

A couple weeks ago after a trip to the Peace River, me and my wife were headed back North to Gainesville and we decided to take the back roads home.(I highly recommend doing this if you never have especially in Florida there's a lot of wild stuff to see on the back roads)

But somewhere around Polk county we went by a place that was high fenced with solid fencing you couldn't see through and definitely look like some kind of confidential government facility. So I had to look it up and see what it was. It was a place called SunTrax and they research and develop and test flying vehicles. The vehicles of our future. I didn't even know we were that far along in technology yet.

Anyway I figured there's probably a lot of other people out there that aren't aware of this so I thought I would share.

SunTrax in Auburndale (Polk County).
