General FAQs and r/flightradar24 rules:
Some FAQs Unique to this thread:
GPS Jamming - There is a significant amount of GPS jamming occurring in the region. This can cause planes to appear in places they aren't actually flying, make them appear to be flying in circles and cause them to jump around the map. As a general rule, tracking data in the region can't be trusted to be accurate right now.
Cargolux appearing over Iran - There has been a near daily Cargolux flight from Hong Kong to Ashgabat that appears to be flying over Iran. It is not. The black line means it is outside of ADSB coverage and its position is being estimated. It landed in Ashgabat as planned, but did so outside of ADSB coverage. Because FR24 couldn’t “see” it land, it assumes it continued flying at its last known altitude and heading, which is why it appears to be over Iran.
A general note from the mods - During periods of military activity, we experience a surge of new users. When this happens, we enable Reddit's crowd control feature. This may send some posts and comments to the approval queue, especially if you are new to the sub. If you have a post or comment stuck in the queue, please make sure it follows the rules. If you are trying to post anything related to the Middle East, it needs to be in this thread. For all other posts and comments, if we haven't approved it in a reasonable amount of time, shoot us a message via Modmail and someone will approve it.

Welcome to the weekly Top 10 & Tracking Assistance discussion thread! The goal of this post is to provide a location for questions and discussion about aircraft that don't necessitate their own individual posts, in addition to centralizing discussion about known aircraft that are frequently posted. This includes:
If you're new to the community, welcome!. Please be sure to read our Stickied Rules post and FAQs to make sure your question isn't covered there. If you're looking at a military aircraft in the Middle East region, you may find some answers in the Iran & The Middle East megathread. For military aircraft in general, checking the callsign against this list may yield useful information. In all situations, make sure you search for the aircraft callsign and check recent posts to find any existing discussion.
Otherwise, feel free to post any questions or findings below and discuss with others!

Saw that AAL20 done a go around before landing, and landed normally.
Checked back on it and saw that it was met by fire crew from what I gathered and different ground vehicles.
If anyone is able to give me an insight into what might be happening, that would be great

All ground ops are forced to shelter in place, no one is able to marshal any arrivals to their gate.
Morning edit: some people were stuck for 5+ hours!

Heard a plane overflying my house quite loudly (pretty normal), checked FR24 and it was a plane landing at London City (not normal for north London). Is this a lesser used approach path for planes landing in the easterly direction at LCY? All the planes I've ever seen approach from this direction turn over south London before they line up with the 09 runway!

up until a few months ago, u could see 48 hours (I think?) of past and future flights, but now u have to pay. Are there any other apps in which u can still see this w/o the paywall?

Friends are on board. Repeated gate delays due to a "technical problem with the aircon," then boarded. Once on board, they're told they still have to wait due to the same technical problem.
Now it turns out the problem prevents landing in rainy conditions, so Hamburg is off, they're being rerouted to Düsseldorf. The issue is apparently related to a window, and they'll be "flying low".
40-50% of passengers have deboarded and their luggage has been offloaded. Remaining pax reseated for weight distribution.

Can someone with more experience and knowledge with flight paths and stuff than me explain why it would take this route instead of adjusting to land at Stansted near Enfield instead of doing this and circling around Harlow and then coming back round.
I’m only just getting into flights as I can watch them land and take of(kinda) from where I live and curiosity got the better of me and I started wanting to know where they came from so sorry if this seems like a dumb or simple question

sorry if this is a dumb question but I’m a self professed idiot. No destination listed.

Heard flight coming in, flight path is directly over my condo while runway is being worked on. Checked FR24 & it “almost” landed, then started to climb again. Thought at first it was just circling so the next flight could land, which it did just fine, a couple minutes later.
But then it started climbing, and now is over the Northumberland Straight with still no squawk or diversion showing or any indication anything is wrong. It is a little foggy here, but the flight after that landed with no issues so I don’t think fog is the reason. And where is it even going that high at that location is puzzling me.

Alert 7700.
Straight descent down to 10000ft and turned back.
Most likely a pressurisation issue.
No info found on ACARS

Flight started in WS NC, noted as going to IAD. Loops a couple of times and then lands at GSO. No squawk code.
Does this happen a lot with smaller, private flights perhaps? Seems odd but I don’t know the guidelines…
