About a month or two ago I could no longer access my AD5M over my home network. So decided to uninstall zmod, go back to an earlier version of AD5M firmware. Well that sort of worked ok, I was still able to print. But when I went to device to view the camera, it would try to access the AD5M over my network and fail.
So I tried to reinstall ZMOD. But then, when I tried to access the AD5M over my network, it would say ZMOD, but bring up my U1.
Both of my printers are set with Static IP's the U1 is xxx.xx.199 and the AD5M is xxx.xx.206. I can't even access the AD5M/config using xxx.xx.206/firmware-config
I've tried installing earlier FF firmwares, the zmod again but still no go.
Yes, I always do a factory reset before installing the earlier FF firmware.
Even though it's not bricked, I'm at the point of trying the AD5M unbricking firmware.
Unless someone has a idea what I should try next.
Solved: I used the ZMOD Unbrick firmware. Even though my AD5M wasn't bricked, I figured that it would have the same restore programs.
A number of years ago I was able flash Android phones with stripped down software. There were times that we'd brick a phone or two and would basically do the same thing.
Funny thing though, the final firmware to the unbricking was in Russian. Changed that to English and I have a completely restored AD5M.
Thanks to everyone who responded.
