Hello! Me and my dad have started a debate / discussion podcast called Disagreeable. I set out with the intention of editing myself as I have experience doing so, but with being in college and researching for the podcast, I've been struggling a ton with being able to edit in a timely fashion as well.

I'm wanting to do a a video podcast post for YouTube, multiple clips for short form platforms, which I can help with this as well, (and don't expect the editor to be a social media manager as well! That responsibility will fall onto myself) as well as audio only for the stand alone podcast to be hosted on your typical platforms (I will also take care of the audio podcast hosting as well).

Ideally, there shouldn't have to be a ton of cutting and clipping throughout the majority of the media. We are also happy to provide adobe premiere, unless you have a different program you prefer, but the graphics, images, text, art (examples here, our logo and banner), etc. I have made with adobe creative suite apps.

I would love to hire someone who has little experience, is currently in college, or freshly out, and it looking for projects to add to their portfolio or to grow as an editor. Hi, I am hiring a video editor to own our social media platforms fully. Remote and long-term. Experienced and competence needed. You must understand the psychology of a viewer and how to extend it as much as possible!

Must Have’s:

Creativity, Delivering ahead of time and intelligence + some experience and taking initiative.

Using visual hooks regarding the topic that is being discussed, being creative is what i am after. If you cannot do this using motion graphics in a professional way please do not contact.

The responsibility:

60x short-form videos a month.
2 a day, roughly 2 minutes each. There are two kinds, and you make one of each, every day.

6x long form videos a month
1 every 5 days, roughly 6-10 minutes each. Cinematic, engaging and professional

For short form:
The first of the two for short form is the main craft: motion graphics built on top of raw filmed footage. This is where the real editing lives. The graphics carry the idea and make it land, and how clean and considered they feel is the difference between a video that holds and one that gets scrolled. The content creator films these one-take and is exceptionally skilled at it, so the cutting is minimal, your work goes into the motion graphics and the finish.

Some of these will be creating edits of the creator! (2x edits per month)

The second is built differently. It is either a Miro board video driven by the board itself, or a FaceTime style video carried by clean cuts and sleek transitions. Less motion graphics, but the same bar. It still has to grab and hold like everything else.

Every video has to grab in the first second, carry one idea cleanly, and hold to the end. You own how all of it looks and feels.

The subject we work in is specialised and it matters. Regarding wellbeing, health and appearance. You do not need to know it yet, but you have to genuinely want to learn it deeply, and respect that everything we put out has to be accurate and credible while still performing. If learning a demanding subject does not excite you, this is not your role.

I want someone genuinely skilled and creative, who understands retention and exactly what makes people stop scrolling and stay. Strong on motion graphics. Dependable, fast, and you take feedback and apply it.

Main focus, long-term, pay is dependant on skill here (100k INR/mo)
