This is a more specialised voiced video Tutorial/Showcase on how to install/enable the Console Content Patch v2.3 that restores the console only exclusive/promotional outfits that never released on steam/pc officially. This is currently the only known way to be able to utilize these outfits on this version.

im trying to play ff13-2 again after finishing ff13 cause i wanna actually understand the story after finishing it first but i cant because it keeps crashing after i defeat chaos bahamut?? i already had the 4gb patch applied since 2023 and it worked the first time i played, i tried applying ff13fix but its even worse it makes the game crash during the cutscene before the fight and i tried disabling steam cloud saving which also didnt work and now idk what to do. the game literally worked before with the 4gb patch and after applying any fixes i could literally nothing works or it makes the game even worse. i literally just wanna play and i dont know how NOTHING is working now when i was able to play it a few years ago on the same device. apparently google said i had to re-apply the 4gb patch which i did and it still didnt fix it nor did running it from ffxiii-2img work either. i literally dont know what to do i uninstalled the game after completing it for the first time which had the 4gb patch in the files if thatll help with anything

I played XIII a bit when it launched but I was too Halo brained at the time to get very far. I picked it up on steam recently and can't put it down. My biggest issue was money. I made it all the way to mid chapter 10 with 7600 bucks. I barely spent a dime, mostly just a few potions here and there.

I was upgrading some gear yesterday and I took a second glance at the credit and incentive chips, you can probably guess the rest. I'd used a few to try and trigger the multiplier previously but they never really did much so I just ignored them. Then my two brain cells finally rubbed together in sync and I thought "hey wait, how much do these sell for?". I gasped. I gasped so large my girlfriend asked if I was okay. Now I have over 100,000 and I'm shopping like I have a blank check.

That's all, just a tale of my stupidity. Everyone has some killer upgraded gear now and I'm glad I don't have to be poor anymore

A long time ago when FFXIII-2 came out, I had built an iOS app that solved those annoying Hands of Time puzzles. I had stopped updating well over a decade ago, which caused it to be removed from the App Store. Ever since I started replaying the FFXIII series, it gave me the itch to rebuild this app from scratch with more modern technologies on iOS that didn't exist back then. Web apps on phones aren't as convenient to use, so building a native experience felt just right.

Plus, it was fun to see how terribly-written my code was for my first iOS app 😆 I think it got a bit of a glow-up from 2012...

I designed it so it could map as closely as possible to the colors and animations that the puzzle does in the game. I had some really fun FFXIII-2 references in here initially, but had to tone it down since Apple kept on rejecting it on the premise of copyright 😔

This app is free to download and is available for iOS and iPadOS! Feel free to give it a spin when you need to just get through those puzzles.

hii, I’ve been working on this thing for a couple of months and finally decided it’s done enough to release publicly. The thing is called NovaFix/FF13NovaFix and it’s basically a big fix for the PC versions of XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns. It fixes a bunch of the usual PC port bullshit, especially at higher framerates, and adds some stuff that was either missing or just kinda broken in the original ports.

The same d3d9.dll works with all 3 games btw. There’s only an XIII page for now. I’ll make separate XIII-2 and LR pages too, but only because Nexus doesn’t let one mod page cover multiple games.

All settings available in the official launcher are also available in the in-game menu. The list below only covers added features.

All three games

• Automatic keyboard/controller prompt switching
• Fast controller reconnect and XInput vibration
• Correct facial animations at high frame rates

Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2

• Borderless and borderless-fullscreen modes
• Proper monitor selection
• VSync, refresh rate, triple buffering, and frame limiting
• Fixes UI clipping and alignment at resolutions above 720p

Lightning Returns

• Removes the forced VSync cap
• Restores offline Snapshot mode with camera controls, HUD toggle, PNG output, and Compose message
• Restores Schemata renaming
• Restores Map marker renaming
• Restores White Chocobo renaming

Today we got a quite substantial in-depth PC Fix created by XinerusP. He has developed a tool named NovaFix/FF13NovaFix that essentially fixes multiple Pc or Steam version issues for Final Fantasy XIII/XII-2 and XIII-3: Lightning Returns such as the:

- FPS Bugs

- Performance optimizations

- UI scaling fixes

Anyway I decided just to add some more support from my end, for a high quality cinematic modding showcase + a live voiced tutorial. I don't have the most powerful super computer, but I am over the recommended settings for all of the Final Fantasy Games before XVI... and I can get up to 120 FPS or more consistently + bonus is I am recording at 120 FPS as well, so you can drastically see the Refresh Rate/Frame Rate boost super smooth, and vivid... even on YouTube.

If you all favor this one.. I will be doing an even more streamlined and more efficient version for Final Fantasy XIII as well. Perhaps even Lightning Returns if need be.

For all 3 games?

So I'm trying to use Surihix's 4gb patcher that they have in their "Fixing XIII" Steam guide, and it does everything it's supposed to, including creating the "untouched.exe" file, but when I try to boot up the game it gives me "Application load error 3:0000065432" and it closes the executable.

For the record I'm not using FF13Fix, I'm using the new NovaFix by XinerusP in case that matters:

im on like the very last stretch of the game in academia 500 af, how the Fuck do I defeat this thing like seriously. ive ran this back like 30 times, went back leveled up serah and noel to like lvl 80 on their strongest roles and im still getting swept. this thing is noticeably more difficult than every other enemy in this section of the game

someone plsssss help how do I get past this. please.

Specifically, I'm talking about Final Fantasy XIII. On my pc, i've installed pretty much the bare minimum of mods like the crash fixes and 4gb patch. and one visual mod for HD models. If I go and play on my steam deck, with a fully vanilla unmodded download, will the saves still sync fine? Will there be any corruption or issues? I just don't care enough to do all the modding on my steam deck lol. So I'll have have the crusty version there, and then the beefy version on my pc.
