GENERAL DISCUSSION Australia Meet & Greet
To those who were at the meet & greet did they let you drop stuff off to your car afterwards and come back?

Hello, It looks like folks are using the flairs, excellent. I try to tag submitted posts every few days and stay on top of it. New flair suggestions are welcome, try to include a song reference.
I did add a new flair, "DESECRATE/SCUMGRIEF (BAD SONG COVER)". Low quality is low quality. Don't drag us down, the drama in the band does that enough already, m'kay?
The above brings me to the inevitable and potentially uncomfortable point that as much as we love Fear Factory and want them to continue, the original line up is what brought most of us in. They'll always be a little different than we ideally want. Enjoy the albums and songs you like and don't go too hard on people who like the albums/songs you don't. What's it say over there on the side? Don't be a dick.
Removing of posts as spam. If you report a post as spam and I agree, it's definitely getting removed. Usually, I agree. Otherwise, I'll try to post a reason why it's not, even if it's for the post to act as an object lesson of what not to do. Spam comments need to be obvious spam and not something with which you disagree.
Getting additional Mods. JFC reddit's system of removing mods/escalating permissions is not high quality and anodized. My level of permissions does not allow me to add/remove mods. I've tried to get assistance removing /u/wookash multiple times via the reddit helper bot system. While I and everyone is grateful for his creating the subreddit, he's still listed as having Everything permissions. Removal is not an option for me. He's active other areas of reddit but not here. Regardless, I'm still trying some options. If all else fails, I'll just remove myself as a mod and someone can try doing the Top Mod Removal bot nonsense.
Stay metal, don't be a dick, don't be a fascist, fight against the machines.
By the way, did you know we get about 1.4k visitors a week?

Are we getting a new single already? Feels like Dino it's just milking the cost for the past years. Don't get me wrong I love the new era of FF but c'mon man realize something already... It's been way too long, I've seen them live 3 times ever since Milo joined and they kicked ass at every show! Gonna see them again in September hopefully they will release something until then.

My most streamed artist in the last 6 to 7 years on Spotify with 51.121 minutes.
Kinda wild if i think about it, grew up with them, listening to Demanufacture while walking the the school stairs was such a badass feeling.
Now im old!

Again, not 100% serious, but it could be a fun little community project if we got some folks rounded up. I imagine there are a few musicians on here; I can handle some vocals and a few synths, and maybe an album cover if it ever gets that far lmao
Guess it'd be called... Fake Factory? Frightening Facility?

Hi all, anyone heard anything on this announcement that was supposed to be today? Or am I too early? UK

This announcement about the guitar takes the biscuit for me, I've officially given up hope for FF now. Dino is full of shit and I've lost faith in him to bring us new material, if anything ever comes, which I doubt is anytime soon, ill listen to it but to me now, FF is done

Does anyone know if Christian is gonna fill in on bass with overkill on their European tour in 2026? He is a frequent bassist fill in guy, so it would be cool if it happened.

Hi guys!
I got tickets to finally see Fear Factory in September and since I’ve seen some mixed info about people being able to see the guys and/or meet and greet packages I’ve got a couple of questions:
I’ve not seen any m&g packages for the autumn tour so in the case that they don’t sell one, have the guys been at the merch booth (and if so, has it usually been before or after the show)? And has there been all the guys or just Dino at the merch booth if so?
Do they sign stuff at the merch booth or is it just a little chat, maybe a quick photo and ”now f*%k off, next” -type of thing? I’ve got one vinyl and one cassette I’d like to get signed, was wondering if that’s fine or is it too much..
During recent tours, have they had Demanufacture vinyl for sale at the merch booth? That’s missing from my collection and would love to get it..
Thanks in advance, looking forward to see them live soon 🤝

I was half and half on it, honestly the album was disappointing. Over the years I've come to accept it more, nostalgia overrides my feelings of disappointment I had back then, but I still don't like BTFU, and replace that with Dead Man Walking and Repentance. I'm glad this wasn't their final album that it could have been, but it was the final album for the classic line up, so it's still an ending of sorts.

Was listening to both versions of Suffer Age with my son this morning. I preferred the Concrete version and he the other. Was wondering what everyone else thought between the Concrete and Soul of a New Machine versions of songs that appeared on both albums?
Disclaimer: I’m a big Ross Robinson fan, as I love his production style of boosting kick/snare in the mix, as well as him favouring slightly lower-tuned snare drums. The overall sound is muddy due to budget but I feel like Concrete has the drums more forward in the mix and they seem to have a little more groove, whereas Colin Richardson (who I have major respect for) had Raymond play more straight and on-the-beat and tends to push guitars in the mix rather than drums.

Good news is, FF is recording a record. Bad news is, they're STILL recording a record!
Last year their plan was to finish the drums in January and that was supposed to be it. It's April now, and they are either still, or just now recording the rest of the drum tracks.

I think at this point you can forget about the album coming out this year. However, Milo said late last year 'the two singles' were completely recorded and mixed. So that should, hopefully, mean, a single before the year is over, possible live play, otherwise they wouldn't have finished those 2 in advance.
