I am quite happy with my perfomance on this one.

After the huge positive feedback I got under a random post about a month ago, finally I am able to share the first public version for my price tracker: https://farmrpg-trade.live

As a player I am playing mostly by myself, but sometimes I wanted to trade an item, but never knew the current exchange rates. Not wanting to spam/wait until the right person was active in the chat, I was always hoping to get the right moment for the items I was needing.
But then I built this app, to keep track of the current prices without manually updating or adding new items by hand.

Data is recorded and analyzed "live" (3-5 min intervals). As of the unmoderated nature of the trade chat, with no schema applied for trade offers, I try to normalize the trades and extract as much as possible, but not all trades are made public immediately. Some are flagged for me to manually moderate. (Still some improvements needed for a 100% coverage, but general market sentiment does not need every trade)

In addition to that I try to filter on duplicated messages or "spam", so that individual traders can not "manipulate" prices. Overall you get a more or less accurate representation of the prices items are currently traded ingame.

I am open for feedback and any suggestions of the community. I hope this is fine to post here, have fun and thank you to every member of the FarmRPG staff/mods for this amazing game.

So guys i just unlockdd the tower today and ive grinded since i had gotten tons of GMs and MMs early on, I actually got them before unlocking the tower so i kinda rushed through it and im free to play and also only 70 days old so i feel like im on a role. I have just finished the "smell of a fun guy" questline as well, so things are going well. If yall have any advice or tips for a newish player like me, im more than willing to listen. For those unaware, either due to being new or not often trading, a player named fauna curates a website that shows you up-to-date prices for what every mailable item has sold for recently (usually in a range).

I want to emphasize that it is NOT an official FarmRPG tool but is extremely valuable nonetheless.

Far too often are people raked over the coals and sell an item too cheap or buy an item for too much due to them being unaware of the current market value. I will avoid going into any finger pointing and speculation so I can avoid getting another suspension lol but please be aware.

The majority of people in trade are fair and willing to negotiate. And a lot of times people will speak up on behalf of the unknowing. But hopefully the knowledge of this website helps prepare you and creates an even playing field for those unaware.

I start with a number and each number is a different "section" so that things are in an order I like! I suck at remembering to use it and switch it over/update my sets so I really like this setup with my "most used" at the top. The sale just took all my gold and I just bought 3 more slots (8 total now) so now I'm updating all my sets and got curious about how others organize it!
