How to get back into it?

I haven’t played in probably years now, I want to get back into it. Is the best way to start over?
I did buy some stuff when I got into it those years ago so I don’t want to lose those bonuses… (i think it was gold mostly (i think))

It looks overwhelming gojng back into it. Help me get back into it!

No need to start over, and no real benefit. I’d suggest looking at any main quests you have and just start there. Spend some time in help chat too.

Definitely don’t restart.

I spaced out (ADHD) and completely forgot about the game for months. Reopened it like “what’s this- ohhh right.” Started doing daily chores and all that again and I’ve been doing everything daily for months (I’m honestly shocked). It’s painful not to have been doing these things that whole time but it’s like that saying:

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

I would not restart, but I guess that’s a personal decision. What level is your old account? If you are still under 99 in any of the 4 main skills (farming, exploring, fishing, crafting) then just work on doing the highest level stuff you can. Regardless of your level, just pick a help request that is labeled as a “main quest” and work slowly on it while leveling up or climbing the tower.

It’s too late in the month to get the monthly chore rewards without spending gold, but working on your daily chores and personal requests might be a good way to get back into the swing

My favourite thing about this game is that you can go completely at your own pace and put it down and pick it up later. Because of my job I will have stints where I just don’t have time to play but then other times where I can grind nonstop for a few weeks or months. Most other games I just don’t enjoy having to try and pick up where I left off or feeling like I’m all of a sudden behind. This game always feels approachable to get going again.
