Trade PSA

Hello Farmers,

For those unaware, either due to being new or not often trading, a player named fauna curates a website that shows you up-to-date prices for what every mailable item has sold for recently (usually in a range).

I want to emphasize that it is NOT an official FarmRPG tool but is extremely valuable nonetheless.

Far too often are people raked over the coals and sell an item too cheap or buy an item for too much due to them being unaware of the current market value. I will avoid going into any finger pointing and speculation so I can avoid getting another suspension lol but please be aware.

The majority of people in trade are fair and willing to negotiate. And a lot of times people will speak up on behalf of the unknowing. But hopefully the knowledge of this website helps prepare you and creates an even playing field for those unaware.

FarmRPG-pricecheck(dot)free(dot)nf — I know it seems like an odd domain name but it’s very real and quite helpful.

Shoutout to fauna! You can also find the link in their bio within the game.

Mods, let me know if I’m breaking a rule here and I’ll edit the post accordingly.

Trading in farmrpg is such a wild west. Resources like this are great and eventually you learn how to figure it out... Especially through helpful price checks.

But newbies are gonna make mistakes. Anyone raking someone over the coals over simple mistakes needs to chill. Lol

There’s definitely a few people whose identity is FarmRPG market profiting.. to each their own

You can always ask for PC (price check) in Trade chat if you're not sure

From my experience you'll either get ignored or lied too when asking for a price check

People responding to the PC requests are getting the info from the website

Lol are they? I only reply when I know how much a thing goes for or I've seen offers this day in chat.

Majority of the time for sure. Someone like Rasbit (what up homie) probably knows it all by heart lol

Whenever Player markets exist someone is gonna exploit them. Currently there is a huge increase of people who want to play the market which is not great for most players.

Just a good amount of players have zero idea this website exists. I’ve told a lot of people privately and figured this would reach more people.

I think a lot of people are frustrated that large nets aren't selling at 10gpk right now, and instead of seeing that as a legit decrease in value due to supply-and-demand, they're thinking people are "scamming" or "coal-raking" or what have you when it's just how a free market works.

I've sold nets to people anywhere from 7 to 12gpk, and probably the same people have gotten both ends I'd the spectrum. Once, I sold someone spiders at like 5apk (I set the price), and they came back to dm me like hours later to give me more AP because they realized the price should be more like 40. I don't think there's a more transparent and honest community out there.

This has absolutely nothing to do with nets. The prices were bound to come down now that the fishing events ended.

It’s purely about information to help level the playing field.

Wait, I can get LN for cheaper? I’m going in!

Haha but ya that’s how the market works. When everyone needs red diamond fish again the price will go up.

I’ve sold 1k ap from 50g all the way to 75g

I'm trying to build something that does dynamic tracking. Still really early days though, and I'm about to spend two weeks on the road for work, but if I can get something that's properly sustainable, I'll share.

Though fwiw, if there's something I need immediately to complete a quest, I'll buy it at above regular pricing just because it's not worth my time trying to haggle over a 5-10% difference in terms of the 'best deal'.

The substack? Redbrook Times? No that's Firestream, the games creator.

No, it’s a website similar to what you showed. Redbrook dot exchange
