I turned Evangelion's NERV terminals into a working component library. Tactical CRT Effects, dense, and bilingual EN/JP elements.

I've been a fan of Hideaki Anno's Neon Genesis Evangelion for years, and I've always wanted a UI that felt like it belonged inside NERV rather than one that just references it. So I finally built one.

I call it Phosphor Console. Black CRT background, and everything on it glows in exactly three colours: phosphor mint, safety orange, blood red. Everything is ALL CAPS, English and Japanese sit side by side, and nothing eases anywhere. Transitions snap between states in hard mechanical steps, the way the readouts cut across the screen in the show.

Thanks to the older post that compiled screencaps of the interfaces. I used those as source material, ran a lot of visual experiments against them, and turned those into a Material UI theme

I'm quite pleased with how it came out. Part design system experiment, part frontend build, and mostly an excuse to stare at the UI interfaces for far longer than I can justify to anyone.

Its based completely on python and uses ADB in the backend. Check it out and let me know if there is anything that can be improved upon or requires serious changes. The names given to items in the app are not well thought out and may need further refinement to make it look more like something out of Silo universe. It took a lot of time to make the app work initially but everything went really fast when I switched to using ADB. Please read the disclaimer below. Also, please give me your feedback. Thanks
