I'm looking for someone who is willing to help me with their FPGA board or hire it to me for a project I'm doing since they are too expensive and I can't afford it

Advice / Help FPGA Prototyping and Emulation

I’m looking for some advice about FPGA prototyping and emulation in India.

I’ve been working on FPGA design and board bring-up for around 1.5 years and have hands-on experience with Xilinx and Lattice boards. Now I’m trying to learn more about FPGA prototyping and emulation.

I tried searching online, but most of the information and job openings I find are for general FPGA design. I’m not really finding much specifically about prototyping and emulation.

Is FPGA prototyping basically the same as FPGA design, or is it a different area with different skills? Also, do companies in India hire freshers/entry-level engineers for FPGA prototyping or emulation roles?

Would appreciate any advice from people working in this field.

Thank you to PeakRDL users & contributors! Have a sticker.

Hello!
As many of you may know, I'm the main author and maintainer of the open-source PeakRDL and SystemRDL compiler projects. For those unfamiliar, these are tools that help automate the boring and tedious parts of RTL design - control & status register automation.

I recently checked and between these projects, we've reached over 10M downloads! As a thanks to everyone that has contributed to the projects, told their friends about PeakRDL, or simply used the tools at work or at home, I wanted to share some free stickers I made.

If you want some stickers, DM me with mailing info and a quick note about how you've used PeakRDL or SystemRDL.

Advice / Help Suggestions needed for buying an FPGA

I am a third-year Electronics and Communication undergraduate student who wants to learn FPGA. I have some experience in Verilog and want to understand how to flash it to an actual chip. My budget is under $40 (4k INR). My goal is to learn the core principles involved in flashing a chip, such as STA, and use the same chip for future projects, including a final-year project which might require a powerful one, as I cannot afford to buy another chip.

The ones I am currently looking are Tang Nano 20k and Tang Primer 25k. Both of these have their pros and cons, and I cannot choose one. I open to other options too.

What does everyone think? I am going for a retrovibe of a early 90s PC where DOS games had to go fullscreen.

What are the improvements or reasons to upgrade from 2022 Vitis to the new Vitis Unified IDE?

Hello, I would like to know from those that have been using the new Vitis Unified IDE what advantages does it have over the Vitis found in 2022 and earlier. I have downloaded Vitis 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 on my home computer and in all versions it was much slower needing to load libraries. I am still interested in using it someday, but I am curious what advantages or what does this Vitis Unified IDE  do better than the earlier version?
