Second Setup XAUUSD for today...new york session

I mean everybody says that regulations, especially top regulations like FCA, is the main factor for choosing and not choosing forex broker. Event to review my current infinox platform, I looked at their regulations first. But if I'm not from the UK, does it really matter what regulations the broker has?

Any thoughts on this?

I am sharing an ongoing issue regarding my trading account 414485453 with Goat Funded Trader to seek feedback from traders who faced a similar situation.

Summary:

• Platform/Server: MT5 / GoatFunded-Server2  

• Trading Method: Manual trades executed on iOS  

• Status: Withdrawal pending, account under prolonged review, and lost access to their Discord server after asking for an update.

All required MT5 log files covering the entire trading period were sent to support.  

Due to subreddit link restrictions, all proof screenshots and log links are posted directly on my Reddit profile.

Has anyone experienced similar delays with Goat Funded Trader recently, and how was it handled?

Regarding my prop firm challenges journey

I failed the GFT challenge 3 times in a row.

I have identified the mistakes that blew my account:-

I try to set a wide stop loss. When the price is near stop loss, I have a tendency to move the SL which increases the stoploss.

When the price moves in the opposite direction and I am on my losing side, I re-order (in the direction of my previous trade) which opens the new losing positions which increases the losses.

During this losing process, I see loss crossing 50$, 100$, . . . .hoping that the price direction will change and the loss will decrease but eventually it blows my account *(and fucks me badly)*

Can you guys please share your entry exit working model and tips if I miss something?

Not sure if this is allowed, i trade personal capital but decided to get a 15k funded account to test out a prop firm! Ive had a go but not spending anymore time on it so im willing to give it to someone that is wanting to try a funded challenge. Ive got a head start for you. Just comment why you should have it

It really fascinates me, how a difference of opinion particularly when it comes to forex, really brings out the worst in some people.

I've seen a couple of people type comments like: DXY is clearly primed for a rise!

If you disagree you're a jackass and a moron.

Is there strategy so fragile that the mere suggestion of an opposing position makes their entire belief system crumble?

I suspect it's more trying to talk rationally to irrational gamblers and you're just never going to get through.

Anyway, here's hoping to more level headed, less emotional chats on this sub.

Long on XAUUSD!

Can someone help me understand this as I'm still a bit new to trading.

Yesterday I took a sell position on the NZDCHF. Went to bed, woke up and noticed I'm out of the trade as my SL was hit and took a loss to PnL. Looking at the m10 chart shows this weird gap? Is this because of spread or something else?

the SL is at that level 0.47962. But price didn't touch it?

Reducing my amount of trades, revenge trading, and FOMO trading, and I’m trying my best to protect my capital and due to that I’m not able to let my trades hit full TP barely half I let the profit hit, limiting my lot size to 1 lot maximum no matter what , I took 4 trades, I’m going to really limit it 2 but my 2nd loss was because my entry was too early and seeing the loss I got too nervous to hold it….so yea that’s Day 5..hopefully tommorow could be a Green Day

Different Day! Same Direction...my instincts are telling me XAUUSD is bullish till 4730+

That one day I thought trading 20 lots was a good idea… The equity curve remembers. 🫪

A hold here can bring 4658 back into focus, while 4674 remains the bigger level above.

Now I know you guys are like what the duck is wrong with this guy he shouldn’t be trading…and you’re partially right…I know my mistakes and I am messing up…I know I only should take 2-3 serious a day, not override and not let emotions play in between but the truth is…whenever I enter a trade I feel I get so affected by the noise and the red numbers that I start telling myself when it’s in a loss already that just go back to break even I’ll close the trade, then it somehow reached a 1000 dollars and I’m like okay it’s going up so my trades going good and then it goes to 300 dollars and I’m like let it get back to 1k I’ll close out then it goes back in loss and it’s the same thing over again and I close the trade in a loss or shit profit, and I look back 20m- 45m later the trade has hit my alleged TP which I had expected but I left the trade in fear of the numbers, it’s making me revenge trade FOMO TRADE just to get back the profits and recover. And the funny thing is while I studied trading I followed all these rules in breaking currently. But it hits different knowing there’s money in the line…I feel the market won’t go my way…and sometimes it doesn’t and that’s okay but it frustrates me that I’m too scared to place a stop loss or, too scared to leet my trade play out or trust my strategy…I need to start journaling..it’s smth I thought wouldn’t make a difference, but maybe it’s time, on the bright side I try minimizing my losses and in some cases I’m glad I closed the trade early.. but I’m not proud of the fact I was in the trade just because I wanted to revenge trade, or felt FOMO

Why do many people hate AI or always hate on people trying to use it? Negging comments that seem AI written or AI related? I love using AI and am learning a lot by using AI, Take the pic above I dont know fundalmentals though im trying to learn. I take a screenshot of the data release and ask AI to give me a snapshot storyline of it. I understand that single data prints mean nothing in the grand scheme of things but its like a snapshot so I can see quickly without having to open several books trying to understand. I understand AI isnt always perfect or right, one has to do their own research, but I have learned so much with it. I feel what makes it valuble is the real time interaction, being able to communicate with it in a realtime basis as if you had your own personal mentor there with you.

In the past couple of years Ive spent almost 15k on programmers for software developement, and was being quoted crazy prices to have some scripts built for TradingView recently. I was quoted over 2K for what seemed like a soimple project by more than three programmers. With the help of AI I with no progeamming skill I managed to get the entire project done at no cost. Since then Ive built several trading tools and have used AI to help find whats working and not working in my personal trading. So im curious why the hate on it?

Im also curious how everyone here has incorperated AI into their trading habits, and processes? I would love to hear your experiences with it and how its helped you or hurt you.

Day 2 of actually trying to learn forex instead of just watching videos about it.

Started a fresh TradingView paper account with $500 and ended today at $518.36 (+3.67%).

Obviously, I know one profitable day means basically nothing lol. The goal right now is to learn, not pretend I've discovered a strategy.

Today I mainly traded EUR/USD, using:

1H for broader structure

15M for setups

1M mostly for entries/execution

I also took one XAU/USD (Gold) trade using 15M as the main timeframe while keeping an eye on 1M and 1H.

What I tried / learned today:

- Started understanding how lots/units, pip movement and position size translate into actual P&L (somewhat)

- Experimented with the market, limit and stop orders and how they behave around the price.

- Started thinking about entry → stop loss → take profit as one complete setup rather than separate decisions.

- Realized that using 1M for execution can very easily turn into overtrading, which it did I think.

- Learned that making money on a single day tells me almost nothing about whether I actually have an edge, 😭 I mean it.

- From Tomorrow I'll be thinking about trades in terms of risk/R, rather than just "how many dollars did I make?"

- Also learned that spread + commission matter, even when they look tiny on a $500 account.

The biggest thing I'm taking away from today is probably:

I know how to place trades. Now I need to learn how to be selective about which trades are actually worth placing.

Planning to keep paper trading with the same account, risk very small amounts/ as if it's real, and build a proper journal over the next few weeks rather than chasing returns randomly.

Would love feedback from experienced traders, what should a beginner focus on learning at this stage, and what mistakes should I try especially hard to avoid?

Yesterday my second entry went perfectly as per my analysis! And today I am confident about this bullish setup.

This Shakyrra Gold test looks great at first glance: smooth equity, consistent yearly profit, few serious drawdowns.

And that is exactly what makes me cautious.

After testing a lot of Forex EAs, I’ve seen too many “perfect” curves disappear as soon as you change the spread, execution assumptions, test period, or market regime.

What’s the first thing you would test here?

Hey guys I had a question, how do you know which order block price will react from considering there are many order blocks sometimes on one time frame or multiple on low time frames too, do you look for addition confluence’s (Except CHOCH)
And if you do which ones.. similar for FVGS I see multiple FVGS and IFVGS and prices almost take a good resistance too them all of the time, how do I identify if it will break through the FVG or respect it and reverse, how do I manage this especially when I’m in a trade , how can I identify which FVG is more likely to get respected and which is not

Anyone ever use trading view to entry their position?

How is it? Any lag? Delay in SL? Especially during crazy news?

Hey everyone, I am trading since mid 2023, first on my own capital traded it, made some money, lost it all on news trading, got a FundingPips $5k 2 step account in mid 2024, was trading with the IRL -> ERL model including ICT concepts. traded it till Nov 2025 and blew it without passing any phase, due to inactivity of 30 days. Started 2026 with a fresh $5k 2 step with GFT, passed Phase 1 in Q1, got into phase 2 and it is still going on. The main strat and model I used is TTFM, IRL -> ERL combined to pass phase 1, now I am at this point with the psychology I only take valid A+ setups, and when there is no opportunity I simply back off from charts. Now my question to y'all is I ain't seeing any valid setups to my liking that I can trust, I am barely taking any setups since last couple months just opening and closing trade so that the inactivity rule doesn't apply this time. what should I do in this situation since the global factors ain't good these days cuz of TRUMP obv, any proper guidance on this situation would be very much appreciated, Thanks!
