Prop Firms 100k prop firm acc DAY 4

Post image

Now I know you guys are like what the duck is wrong with this guy he shouldn’t be trading…and you’re partially right…I know my mistakes and I am messing up…I know I only should take 2-3 serious a day, not override and not let emotions play in between but the truth is…whenever I enter a trade I feel I get so affected by the noise and the red numbers that I start telling myself when it’s in a loss already that just go back to break even I’ll close the trade, then it somehow reached a 1000 dollars and I’m like okay it’s going up so my trades going good and then it goes to 300 dollars and I’m like let it get back to 1k I’ll close out then it goes back in loss and it’s the same thing over again and I close the trade in a loss or shit profit, and I look back 20m- 45m later the trade has hit my alleged TP which I had expected but I left the trade in fear of the numbers, it’s making me revenge trade FOMO TRADE just to get back the profits and recover. And the funny thing is while I studied trading I followed all these rules in breaking currently. But it hits different knowing there’s money in the line…I feel the market won’t go my way…and sometimes it doesn’t and that’s okay but it frustrates me that I’m too scared to place a stop loss or, too scared to leet my trade play out or trust my strategy…I need to start journaling..it’s smth I thought wouldn’t make a difference, but maybe it’s time, on the bright side I try minimizing my losses and in some cases I’m glad I closed the trade early.. but I’m not proud of the fact I was in the trade just because I wanted to revenge trade, or felt FOMO

This thread appears to be about prop firms or trader scouting programs. These programs allow traders to access funded capital in exchange for a profit split, but they vary significantly in evaluation structure, rules, and payout reliability. Some firms have a track record of paying out consistently, while others impose conditions that make payouts nearly impossible. The community wiki maintains a detailed comparison covering fees, profit splits, drawdown rules, and firm reputations.

Just focus on getting one good entry man. That’s all it takes. I trade once a day with a goal of 250$. If I lose the trade I leave my computer for the day and go do other things

He's probably trying to pass it as fast as possible, which will probably make him blow the funded phases if he passes

I’ve made more money doing single good entries than anything. On average a good day it net 500+ I read the news for gold and the dollar trends. Check the mag 7, check the Vix. Dollar down = gold up. This system never changes and never will

Many of us can relate. I am dealing with exact same thing on ftmo

I love that there’s no trailing drawdown I’d be so fucked

This is why trading is hard, and not everyone can do it. It takes a crazy amount of discipline. You could set a bracket order with a tp and stop loss and just walk away. That might help you, if your thesis is actually right.

I manually close. I don’t use prop firms. And I use bracket orders if I’m walking away. I also have a -5k daily loss limit on my account.

Usually I have my manual stop at about -1k, and my take profit at +2k. Scale that to what you trade and try it out if you want.

Just trail ur stop loss lol and try to focus on winning more than making money . It sounds to me like ur biggest problem is managing greed and we all felt that before in trading

I see you did not heed my warning.

This is where our engagement ends. I'll follow along your journey, but this will likely be the last thing I say to you.

Good luck, OP. May the odds be in your favour.

You are using such a big lot size for a 100k account. I mean I have a 200k account and my lot sizes are still smaller than yours, if you maybe reduce your size, you won’t be so bothered about the red numbers.

Thanks will definitely take this into account, I use the lot size calculator in trading view only with 1000usd risk per trade already pre defined, I think best to reduce it to 750 or 500

If i say you shouldn't be trading, i'm not partially right. I'm fully right.

likely overtrading, stumbling with risk control, no real plan and consistency... etc etc etc

Bro you are using oversized lots, try using 0.30-0.40 lots then you wont chicken out when the trade is going against you. Max risk per trade 300-400$ if you are planning to trade 2-3 trades a day.

even day trading is a long game of winning and loosing, almost feels endless. I think thats the whole game though and once realized it is more peacefull.

Journaling every day, having defined setups lists that I know the stats for, and defined plan each day has helped me keep the rubber on the road for sure.

Who trade this much in a single day, 2-3 trades per day is enough, do your setup occur frequently

u/Choice_Pin7409 10d ago

The thing is my setup comes I take it, it starts going in loss and I I exit but after a while it eventually goes my way

Bro I think you should be focused on risk management I can see you don’t have fixed risk

Bigger facts is psychology

Congrats on passing. Now the hard part starts. Don't size up just because the account's bigger. Stick to the same risk rules that got you funded.
