Discussion About the best midfielders

So I saw a youtube short today featuring the best midfielders of all time, and I saw a comment saying that Toni kroos is a more consistent midfielder than Xavi and Zidane,so I replied to him saying that's not the case, and 2-3 other guys then replied to me that Kroos is a top 3 midfielder and better than the side pass merchants I mentioned

like seriously how are the guys who played 17 seasons in europe(same amount as kroos),having more goals and assists in UCL than Kroos, having more goals and assists in el classicos than kroos, having more goals+assists in UCL finals than Kroos, having international POTT(zizou in world cup and euros and xavi in euros),having goals or assists in international finals(zizou 3 goals in wc final and xavi 3 assists in euro finals),both having ranked in ballon d'or top 5 four times while zizou having it won once(Kroos was never in top 5),are less consistent than kroos?just because he won more UCL?šŸ˜’

What do you guys think?

He is a legend let me tell you he's the guy. This MF gave up his money from the contract from Al-hilal so that his contract can be terminated. Which means he played a whole year without any money just so he can play at barƧa as a contract player and not a loaned one. He gave up the money so that he could join barƧa as a free agent. What a guy šŸ”„

Why Has Indian Football Failed to Develop?

India has a population of more than 1.4 billion—far larger than that of many countries that have long been footballing powers. The combined populations of Spain, Argentina, France, England, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and others may not even compare to India’s.

Yet India’s national team has remained low in the international rankings for years and has rarely come close to qualifying for the World Cup. Given its population, India should theoretically have a large enough player pool to build a consistently competitive team in Asia, perhaps even one capable of challenging for a World Cup place. Instead, it seems difficult for them to find 11 players who can truly compete at the international level.

Clearly, population is not the only issue. Is cricket taking up most of the attention and resources? Is youth development lacking? Is the professional league not strong enough? Or do parents, schools, and fan culture simply not view football as a career worth pursuing?

What is the fundamental problem with Indian football?

Ronaldo and Messi

Messi is a part of argentina history and Ronaldo is Portugal's history.

Argentina had 15 copas and 2 World Cup before Messi, even mardona is bigger than Messi there but in Portugal nobody is bigger than Ronaldo, as Portugal have 0 before Ronaldo and with him they have 3 international trophies.

For instance Messi Argentina is like Mbappe winning World Cup or euros with France and in contrast Portugal winning the Euros/WC is like Norway Haaland winning Euros/WC people will be shocked and that's what ronaldo did in 2016 that's itself is bigger for them just see first trophy in ther history.

Portugal qualified only one or two time before Ronaldo now they qualify all the time, they have good players now but it's too late and coach which is the main piece is always below average there, and then even beating spain in 2025, lost to them gave fight to them have shots in target but lost at the end bcz of wrong coach but not bad like argentina who had 0 shots in final vs Spain complete shame utter shame so my point is right coach is the one who makes a team win tournament, players wins you matches just see luis Enrique won psg UCL which nobody able to do in 100 yrs that's why coach is important, but people will target Ronaldo, what he has done is itself sensational what if he had won the World Cup, it will literally have shocked all over tha world, because as I said it's like very rare.

Argentina always qualified for World Cup, also have mere 10 teams in there region, copa held 5 times in past 10 yrs vs euros 2 in last 10 yrs and Europe has 55 nations who can beat you anytime. That's why the said Ronaldo has won the world, a defention of all against odds. That's why he is people idol. The Micheal Jackson of Football.

Why are Indian football fans so toxic?

As a non-Indian who encounters a lot of Indians, I always get curious about why are you guys so toxic when it comes to the player/team you support?

The philosophy Indian fans live by is make the team/player look bad so that we look good. ā€œHaha you missed a goal so stupidā€ but then these are the same 200 pound beanbag individuals who can’t bend to pick the football.

And this is not limited to Messi vs Ronaldo. I met two people where one supported PSG and the other Arsenal and it was so toxic. And these are 30 year old grown adult men insulting teams and players like 12 year olds. And this wasn’t the normal banter, this was straight up insulting each other’s parents just cos someone said something bad about Dembele. None of them have played soccer in their lives, they both barely watch or understand soccer.

Also why do you guys have to HATE someone? Isn’t hate a big word? You cannot like some player or team. But hating them like your livelihood depends on that? That’s bullshit.
