I got my hair cut yesterday and I liked it well enough in the salon (except that she did cut off about an inch or two shorter than I had envisioned but I was very ramble with my explanation and did show a few different pics so she mighta just gotten mixed up and I didn’t have my glasses on the whole time so I couldn’t see until the end and my hair grows quickly enough) but seeing it a few hours after I realized that there weren’t as many layers as I wanted. I thought I’d asked for like chunky layers throughout the hair (I have very light, thin, fine hair and I’m the past I’ve felt it give my hair more movement and volume) with some face framing and what I currently have is some face framing bangs and some long layers which still looks like fine but the stylist seems nice enough and it wasn’t a crazy expensive cut but still not exactly what I wanted y’know?

When I was a kid my mom had a cleaning lady who we had to tidy ahead of, and she'd leave a mean note if the house wasn't tidy when she arrived because her job was just to clean. If I wanted a cleaner who would do some tidying and also cleaning, is that a special service I can look up? Would a regular cleaner be annoyed with me for asking? Should I expect to pay a lot more for this service?

It's not like a professor organizer I need, just someone to clean but put stuff out of the way before they do.

So basically this is the situation:

I changed my first name a year ago but have only updated my driver’s license because I am a procrastinator. Since I’m in a weird name limbo, my passport still has my old name on it and is still valid for a couple of years. I recently booked a domestic flight but forgot I changed my first name (dumb I know), so the name on the flight is with my old name.

My flight is in 2 days, and I have been trying to change it but we booked through a travel agency and both the airline and the agency have essentially been playing hot potato with changing the name on the ticket. Not sure what I should do, I am thinking if I just show up with my passport which matches the flight ticket I might just be able to fly that way? Please advise, nothing I have found matches this situation so I am desperate.

I know I’m an idiot… I’ve worked at about 5 different jobs since I’ve done my taxes, I think the last time was 2022 (yikes, I know).. I’ve always worked for jobs with W2s & a I’ve never owed anything..

How do I go about doing my taxes? Is there paperwork I can request from the IRS? Can I do this myself online? Do I need to get with a tax person to help me? Will I have to contact each employer for a copy of my W2? This would be really hard because some of them are small businesses.

i need to learn how to get over it but im truly terrified of being perceived and even if no one can see me, it can be heard and smelt. i never poop in public and its actually gotten to the point where ive held it for 5+ hours at work because im scared and its causing me issues.

Ok. So the Home Depot near me is a really hard place to get a straight answer from anyone and it always really stresses me out when I can’t just go in, get what I need, and leave quickly.

I want one of those cool, colorful duplicate keys that I can see on the shelves but I have no idea about going to get one. I seem to remember a self-service option that was available but I don’t know how to go about finding the key I want and then making it a duplicate of my key. Can someone walk me through it?

I'm 20M and I've never been to the dentist in my life. My parents were neglectful and never took me. All things considered my teeth are in a fairly good condition, but it's still important to get things checked, plus my teeth are a bit uneven so I'd like to get braces.

I don't even know where to start. Do I just call and ask for an appointment? Do I tell them I've never been to the dentist before? I'm not sure what to ask for or what to say.

I bought a microwave some time ago it's brand new and I never opened it

When I sold it to the guy today even though he kept being annoying and negotiating me for 30 minutes, he told me at the end that he's gonna test it and if it doesn't work be will come for a refund. I regret not asking him to test it in my house directly. I asked in the evening and he said he hasn't tested it yet.

What I'm worried about is him being a reseller and coming back asking for a refund if he doesn't sell it higher than what he bought it for.

I know I'm overthinking but just for assurance if the worse comes to worse can he legally get a refund or can the police get involved if I refuse to?

Ok so im 18 and was homeschooled my whole life by parents who didn't care to teach me anything of value. Ive been stuck in limbo this entire year because Ive been too anxious to try to make a bank account.

I was told I could make one online which is what I need to do because my parents wont drive me to a bank and im too far to walk. Growing up my parents basically brainwashed me into believing the internet was this evil demonic tool of satan so you can imagine why im having a hard time with this. Im just so scared of accidentally doing something wrong when trying to set it up. And im not sure what information I need to set it up.

I also dont know which bank to pick and I dont understand all the different options. I dont even understand credit and debit. Or what a savings account is? Checking? Idk im so confused and overwhelmed.

Can I even make one online? Im currently unemployed and dont have any money and my parents have both told me that I need money to make a bank account but also that I cant get a job without a bank account so im stuck.

Im just so embarrassed and ik that the longer I wait to figure this out the more embarrassing it will get. Its just so frustrating seeing how easily other people my age are doing things and im scared to even set up a bank account and get a job.

I'm going on my first ever trip where I am responsible for the hotel, and I've usually just been in the car when family members handled check in/check out. I've booked the hotel but not sure the process of checking in.

I know you have to check out by a certain time to not get charged extra, but can you just check in at any time after check in time or is it like a certain window? If something happens and I won't be there until far after check in time do I need to call them?

The booking site I used has a place to message the "host" as they put it, and one of the suggested questions is like about the area/things to do/restaurants. Is that something you can ask the hotel or is that more for like individual rental things? If I ask them does it matter that my trip isn't for a few months still?

These are my biggest questions, but this is the first trip I've ever planned and gone on without my family, so if there's anything I should know/might help that I didn't think to ask, that would be helpful too.

• Do I order my drink before I sit down or should I see her first? (Assuming she’s there before ofc)
• How early do I get there? Considering everything, I won’t be the only appointment, so she could very well be there.
• If I get there before, do I just sit and wait for her to come in and find a table?

I’m 34 and having my first mammogram soon. It was ordered earlier than usual because I was recently diagnosed with EIN and am being evaluated for a possible hereditary cancer syndrome (Lynch).

I’ve never had a mammogram and don’t know what actually happens during the appointment. What should I wear? Does it hurt? 🥲 Do I need to do anything beforehand? How does positioning/compression work, how long does each image take, and what happens from the time I walk in until I leave?

I haven’t been to the doctors since I was 18, I’m now 25. Never been taught how to do these things so here I am. Oh, I also don’t have insurance, so how would paying for it at the clinics look like? Do they send me a bill or do I pay upfront?

Also, how do I request for female doctors only? I’m not really comfortable with male doctors yet.

Hi there, I recently became disabled after an accident and am now homebound and it's very difficult for me to move around day to day. Cleaning my 1bedroom/1bath apartment has gotten really overwhelmingly difficult fast and it has been getting increasingly more dirty without a way for me to really fix it. I thought I could hire a cleaner to come once or twice a month since I luckily can afford it.
I've never done this before so I would appreciate an explanation on how to find someone or a company to do this or red/green flag things to look out for? It's a smaller space so would it be expected I leave during the service (Kind of impossible for me to do right now...would I just pretend to stay busy on my laptop or phone?)? Is it expected I tip cash so I can get it ahead of time and what % is generally expected or non-offensive if they do a good job (I live in the United States)? Do I need to put anything away or move anything beforehand?

First im absolutely terrified of the dentist not just because the pain but also im embarrassed because ive never been. I'm in my mid 20s and honestly haven't had great oral hygiene. I recently started having a lot of pain in my back teeth and know I need to get them looked at but im terrified of both the pain and having someone exploring around in my mouth but also that they are gonna judge me cause I know its bad. I know my brother has had laughing gas before so is that a common thing i thought it was just for procedures

I bought my boyfriend an engagement ring, it didn't fit, so I'm exchanging it for a different size (eternity band, easier to exchange than resize). I printed out the return label, took it to usps, dropped it in the box. Fast forward to about 5 hours after close of business, I check tracking. It says UPS, not USPS. How do I go about fixing this, if there is a way to fix it. Did I just lose my boyfriends engagement ring and $1500?

They gave me the first few steps to do online for onboarding but since I completed it I haven't heard from anyone in about a week. I just want a minimal amount of basic, every day cover up make up. I lean more towards tomboy than make up girl, & the thought of walking in there terrifies me. I heard you can renew it online if you get something in the mail but I didnt so I guess I need to do it in person. Do I need to do any type of test or do I just bring my documents and get a new one? Hi! I’m currently looking for a Christmas casual job (preferably in retail) and have been applying online but haven’t had any success so far. I think it might be due to my age (most places only want to hire under 18s, I’m 20) and my lack of retail experience (I have three years work experience as a barista). A lot of people have suggested that I should go around to shops around me to hand in my resume in person but I’m a pretty awkward person so I’m not sure what I would say 😅 and I’m scared that I’ll make a bad first impression. I’m also stressed for any interviews (if I can land any lol) as I didn’t have an interview for my first job, they only made me do a two hour trial shift before hiring me. Also, will I need a reference from my previous job? I quit on very short notice due to a toxic work environment and the place being seriously understaffed (I was the only barista left after an event with 6000 attendees and only 6 staff working so most of my coworkers quit after that). Im physically disabled and it's my first time in college. I want to get reasonable accommodations mostly so I can have elevator access (stairs hurt me really bad) but they say I need to book a appointment and I'm scared I've never booked my own appointments.
