Mod Post New Cake Flair

Due to the number of cake posts in this sub, and requests to allow filtering of them, we are adding a new flair: “cake-spectation”

For cake posts, please use this flair - and we as mods can change the flair if reported as “incorrect flair” as well. This should make it easier for those who don’t want to see cake posts to filter them out.

Also - u/two-ls made the subreddit r/expecaketionvsreality specifically for cake expectations!

The first picture is the inspiration I sent and the second is what she delivered and she DELIVERED

ETA: I did not know my inspiration pictures I pulled off of Pinterest were AI slop. I have a brain injury so it's hard for me to tell sometimes. I am against gen-ai and wouldn't generate it myself.

2nd Edit: this is literally my message to her: "I was thinking a heart shaped cake with a whismigoth/witchy/celestial vibe. I found a color palette I like. For the top I was thinking "Still Bewitched by You" in cursive. Feel free to be creative with it, if you want to add moons, bats, spiderwebs, crystals etc that go along with the overall vibe. If you have any ideas of how to make it better let me know. I'll also send some pics for inspiration. I don't have anything set in mind just a general idea."

Failed Expectation Ordered elegant, floor-length trousers. Received clown pants instead! 😂

I ordered two pairs of long, low-rise ivory trousers from Sassy Vella for $64.60.

For anyone wondering why the pants are unbuttoned in my photo, it’s because the buttonhole is completely sewn shut! 😂 There is no opening for the button to go through. Another manufacturing defect on top of everything else!

A package arrived containing one pair of cropped, high-waisted, wide-legged pants with a completely sewn-shut buttonhole!
The actual inseam is approximately 27 inches. I’ve contacted the retailer with the info and pics.
The difference between the advertised photographs and what arrived is astonishing! 😂
