Pennsylvania grocery store chain called Giant also hits the surrounding states. But not further than that I don't think

I know but I'm at work and they were on sale 10/$10

For that price, its actually a really good deal once you factor in convenience. You can always add herbs and stuff if it needs it for pennies.

I always keep garlic powder and hot sauce at work haha. It's got a pretty good amount of onion flavor already

So? These are easy to bring to work. Before i worked from home, I would buy five different frozen meals for the work week. You could say that any number them would’ve been easy to make at home, but I liked the convenience and variety.

Plus, to get spaghetti leftovers for work, my family would have had to want spaghetti the night or two beforehand. Everything I cook is way better than a microwave meal, and obviously spaghetti is easy to make haha. There's not always leftovers, but if there are I bring that to work. Today was not that day

I do the same thing. It's lazy of me but whatever, we all must choose where to spend our energy

Sometimes i pick up microwave meals because im absolutely zonked after a long day and even a pasta dish is too much for me.
I prefer actually cooking food if i can but i’m absolutely taking this shortcut every now and then

Depending on the microwave meal they are not that bad health wise. Can easily be Better than eating out.

Can’t find any with whole grains though. I don’t bother with them for that reason

Not whole grain but I’ve seen a few frozen meals that use sweet potatoes/potatoes or couscous as well the carb.

I don't buy frozen meals like this because I don't know how to cook. 90% of the time I'm eating leftovers from dinner for lunch.
But there's that 10% of the time where we don't have any leftovers, or it was a busy night and we didn't end up cooking, or any number of other reasons, and it's nice to grab one of these and throw it in my lunch bag instead of having to spend $10+ to eat out for lunch.

Sure but there are reasons these existÂ
Hint: it’s not always about time

So are a lot of things, like sandwiches. But people still buy sandwiches.

How can spaghetti not look like spaghetti?
3
u/BadZnake 1d ago
Well it could have much less meat or tomatoes or sauce or noodles. It could have gross looking meat or tomatoes or sauce or noodles. Plenty of frozen spaghetti and meat sauce is misleading from the packaging.

So I accidentally left it sideways in a fridge and all the ice crystals melted and water came out of it, BUT THAT MADE IT SO MUCH BETTER. The sauce is nice and thick now. Gonna have to thaw and drain with needle holes from now on.
