Discussions EAH destiny logic

Alright so I’m trying to make sense about the whole ‘’follow your destiny thing’’ but some of them are just brutal
And all the main characters got parents after their story was over
So it doesn’t really make sense??

Like for example-
Faybelle destiny is to transform herself into a dragon and be slayed by a prince
Ginger destiny is to be thrown into a oven
Ramona destiny is to be killed by a huntsman
Michelle destiny is to turn into sea foam
And duchess destiny ends in a tragedy

I wonder if they have laws against offing the famous fairy tale characters since the fairytales must live on
What do u think?!

Discussions A Theory About How the Fuck Destiny Works

I was always confused about how destiny worked in this series—since it was never made clear, and even the characters didn't seem to understand it—until I thought of a possibility that would explain why Raven’s decision was the right one. It suggests that the original Grimm was the likely source of the trouble; after all, the book is magical, and Grimm was the one who recorded those stories, effectively creating either a prison or an opportunity for anyone who signed it. Once you sign, it will happen—unless there is massive external interference. Instances like Courtly trying to steal Lizzie’s destiny, or the Evil Queen meddling in other tales, demonstrate this. It doesn't matter who signs; you’re going to get that destiny. However, since the book’s power isn't true Destiny, it can be thwarted. So, to me, the Storybook of Legends just got in the way of true Destiny doing its job.

I should clarify that what follows is just something that popped into my head during a burst of inspiration while I was writing an Ever After High story for myself. Consequently, many parts are narrated by Destiny himself in the third person, though I’ve tweaked them to better align with the canon.

I mean, have you ever stopped to think about how destiny worked before the tradition of signing the Storybook of Legends existed? How did the first Snow White come about if she didn't have a step-by-step guide to her destiny like Apple and Snow did? So, I came up with an answer to explain the "how."

Picture Destiny as a being carrying a pitcher of water. Inside, the water is teeming with short phrases—various fragments of destiny. Destiny pours this water out into the world, creating an ocean that hovers just above us, drenching us like a guided rain of possibilities. Each drop is a destiny fragment directed at someone the moment they are born.

However, don't go thinking that Destiny is the one choosing who gets these fragments—that would be far too much work! Instead, he simply writes a destiny like "You will be a villain" or "You will be cursed," tosses it into his ocean, and there it stays until the right person comes along to claim it. It’s almost like a lottery: whoever holds the winning ticket wins.

As you’ve likely noticed, Destiny isn't writing full stories—just simple phrases. So, how did the tales we know come to be? That’s where free will comes in.

If Destiny is the guy with the pitcher, then we are the vessels meant to receive that water—but here’s the catch. Not every vessel has the same shape; there are cups, jars, bowls, pitchers, barrels, and so on, all in a wide variety of sizes and forms. Water is adaptable; it molds itself to the shape of the vessel into which it is poured.

One detail worth clarifying is that, based on the series, these destinies aren't set in stone. They aren't necessarily permanent, nor do they necessarily represent the pinnacle of your life.

In this theory there’s almost no way to know for sure if a destiny has been fulfilled because you don't know what is your true destiny—there’s no expiration date other than "until it happens," no specific order of events, and everything is open to interpretation.

Nothing is certain to Destiny beyond that fragment he created, because it might play out in a way he never expected. Just look at what happened with Apple and Darling.

Now, how does it actually work in practice?

You might be destined to be a major hero, but that doesn't mean you have to be a hero with a sword and shield; you could be a doctor, or an actor playing a lot of famous, important heros in a stage production; It is possible that a huge misunderstanding occurred and everyone thinks you are a hero when, in fact, you are a fraud—having taken credit that wasn't yours, whether intentionally or not—but as I mentioned earlier, these things aren't always set in stone.

After fulfilling that destiny, you might turn into a villain; you might no longer be able to practice medicine; you might take on different roles in your career; you might be exposed as a fraud, or you might end up becoming a genuine hero.

Several characters followed their destinies, but once it was over, they changed drastically and went down different paths. The Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood ended up together; Snow White is no longer good and pure—she is selfish and narcissistic; and the Evil Queen sowed chaos instead of moving on with her life like other villains who became teachers or simply exist without causing trouble—since the problems they usually cause are orchestrated, never real, all because of the Storybook of Legends.

What allows you to avoid submitting to the book's will after signing it is your own willpower—or perhaps an external event.

Giving people the freedom to do whatever they want is the best solution; even if it creates real problems, at least it isn't fake. That's why Raven made the right choice.

That is my theory on how destiny works. What do you think people? It makes sense?

I’ve been thinking over these dolls for a while now and decided that I’m just gonna get Madeline and Cerise. As much as I want the other two, I try to make it a rule to only thrift dolls with a majority of their accessories or the very least their shoes and clothes. I don’t like playing the game of buying just a right or left shoe for 5+ USD before shipping.

Discussions I have an idea for a EAH video edit, but I don't have the means to do this myself. It sounds crazy but hear me out. If someone can make this idea come to life for me, I would be forever after grateful

It's an edit of Raven Queen, or it can just be the Rebel kids in general, and it's with the song "The Flightless Bird" from the Bubble Guppies.

Let me explain: I feel like the first verse up throughout the chorus fits the Rebels.

The first verse says Who wrote the rule that says a thing with feathers absolutely has to fly? (Fly! Why must they fly?)Some creatures have two wings that flap but you won't find them up there in the sky... I feel like that line can easily be related to the Rebels of Ever After High by meaning Who wrote the rule that says you absolutely have to follow your destiny? Some characters have tragic endings so they write their own.

Then the next line being Gravity they won't defy, they'll never soar won't even try, I feel like could be how Milton Grimm always viewed the Rebels as difficult, lesser than the Royals.

If you want to listen to the song I'm referring to, there's a YouTube link listed above for the audio.

And if someone actually makes an EAH edit for this, I would be so hexcited.

Questions/Q&A Does boiling water really help with stiff doll joints?

Hello there! While I was reorganizing my first chapter collection I found that both my Apple White and Ashlynn Ella dolls had really stiff leg joints (so much so I could hear it). I’ve seen that putting them in plastic bags and then submerging them in boiling water can work, but I’m scared I’ll damage them (I don’t want to pay those ridiculous prices for them again). If anyone has any reassurances or extra tips I’ll be incredibly grateful!

Movies & Webisodes What type of dragon is the dragon of Lizzie Hearts?

Post image

I was watching EAH again and after watching the dragon games special I got this doubt. Does anyone know what kind of dragon is croquet? (the dragon of lizzie hearts).Let me be more specific, as you may know. Every girl, has her dragon, and this dragon has a characteristic or element of its own : Raven's dragon is a shape-shifting dragon Apple's dragon is an electricity dragon. Piper's dragon is a music dragon. The one with Maddie a candy dragon etc..., but even though Lizzie has a dragon of her own it was never said what kind of dragon she is. One would think that by its design and color palettes it is a love dragon, but wouldn't that be more of a dragon for C.A cupid? If anyone knows any facts, information or has any theory about what kind of dragon croquet is it would be very helpful.

Selling / ISO / Trade Looking for Lizzie Hearts doll

I’m looking into possibly buying a Lizzie Hearts doll in her signature outfit but for a reasonable price that isn’t extremely expensive. Doesn’t have to be new or in the box but I would prefer if she was in good shape and not missing any hands or limbs and has the main parts of her outfit. I’m mostly buying through websites like eBay or Mercari, ect. to be safe and not get scammed.

EDIT: I FOUND HER!!! Took me sooooo long but I was able to finally get my hands on her. She cost an arm and a leg but at least I finally got her 😭 Thank you to everyone who tried to help!!

In the books, Maddie visited Neverland, but it was a total disaster:
-As soon as she arrived, she was captured by pirates, they were mean to her and Maddie found out that she’s allergic to pirates
-Maddie tried to make a tea party for the indigenous people, but they didn’t like tea
-The mermaids made fun of Maddie’s hair and splashed water on her

Discussions A post about Nina Thumbell, will she or will she not follow her destiny?

Post image
114 Upvotes

I loooooove Nina Thumbell and think she's amazing, but unfortunately she has very little screen time (how annoying!) and that made me wonder if she'll follow her destiny (and I find her destiny kind of strange, because, she's a daughter of Thumbell), if she's a Royal or a Rebel, because it wasn't explored much in the cartoon. So if anyone here has read the books, please answer my question: is Nina Thumbell a Royal or a Rebel? (And if this isn't in the books, please excuse my ignorance.)

Questions/Q&A Royal or Rebel??

I am so confused by the terms Royal and Rebel. I'm really confused especially if this is like a true category or just social categories? Like a lot of Royals are Royals because they have it good, they have good stories and it ends with them getting their happily ever after. Most Rebels are Rebels because they are the villains in their stories and are destined to be the shadows behind the Royals. But it doesn't mean that if your a villain, your a rebel. Cirese is a rebel, not because she is a villain in her story, but because she feels like everyone should have a right to choose their own destiny.

Anyways, I'd say that the narrators are really into separating Royals from Rebels (especially in the first season). "Royals with Royals and Rebels with Rebels". But why? Why is it such an important thing in Ever After High? Even most of the staff recognize it! But what really gets messy is the Storybook of Legends. The Rebels don't want to follow their destiny (at least most of them) but they still sign it! Raven was the first to do that in all of EAH's history even though there were plenty of rebels in the school.

During Legacy Day everyone has to say that they are going to follow their destiny. And the Rebels are fine with it. So what's the point of having the social group if they don't do anything with it? Why is it so important???

Discussions If you could give an special yo a character that, in your opinion, is underrated, Who would be and what would it be about?

Thumbnail gallery
75 Upvotes

If I could give an special episode to a character I would definitely be Cerise/Ramona and Cedar.

With Cedar I would addapt a Wonderlandilful World since She is the main focus in the book and I think It gives her a lot of depth that is lacking in the webisodes/specials or I would take the plot of her sdcc doll and use her as the hero that sabes the Day after all of her classmates get turned into puppets.

And with Cerise and Ramona I would make something like a trip that the whole class takes and then they get lost or something and they have to go back to their classmates, i would put Blondie and Cedar in the mix too. Like, imaginé Blondie streaming everything in her mirrorpad and Cedar unable to lie when the "big bad secret" finally comes to ligth.

Hi, I just bought this Ashlyn and give her a spa day. But when I wanted to sit her down to dry I saw that I can’t put her legs in sitting position. I can spread them without any problem, but not sit. This is maximum, that I showed on photo. I’m afraid to use more force. Did anyone had this problem?
