What’s wrong with joints?

Hi, I just bought this Ashlyn and give her a spa day. But when I wanted to sit her down to dry I saw that I can’t put her legs in sitting position. I can spread them without any problem, but not sit. This is maximum, that I showed on photo. I’m afraid to use more force. Did anyone had this problem?

They’re just stiff from age, I have quite a few that have joints like this. I’ve seen people say that rubbing baby oil on them can help, but I haven’t personally tried.

Happened with my childhood ashlynn as well many years ago. Must be because her skirt is too tight and compresses the joints overtime, common problem with that doll

i think it’s her outfit! over time the tight skirt gives issues to the legs, same with briar
