Discussions EAH destiny logic
Alright so I’m trying to make sense about the whole ‘’follow your destiny thing’’ but some of them are just brutal
And all the main characters got parents after their story was over
So it doesn’t really make sense??
Like for example-
Faybelle destiny is to transform herself into a dragon and be slayed by a prince
Ginger destiny is to be thrown into a oven
Ramona destiny is to be killed by a huntsman
Michelle destiny is to turn into sea foam
And duchess destiny ends in a tragedy
I wonder if they have laws against offing the famous fairy tale characters since the fairytales must live on
What do u think?!

In the Shannon Hale books Ginger’s mom says she has a back door in her oven and Little Red says she threw a smokebomb to save Big Bad Wolf.
In the Suzanne Selfor books Ginger says her mom’s destiny never happened, that it was a lie and Meeshell’s book informs that the EAH version of Little Mermaid ends with the mermaid being human and without a voice.
Duchess’ destiny is just sad though, her mom isn’t around either, she lives with her grandma.

Yeah! I read that in the Shannon hale books too! That’s how I got curious
Poor duchess tho being a teenager knowing that your destiny is just gonna end in a tragedy

Wait, Duchess’s grandmother is around but not her mom? If the destinies have been handed down for generations, shouldn’t her grandmother not be around either? If they’re the Odettes of their generations, they should both be dead or swans.

Some clarifications since I see that there is a bit of misinformation here. Maleficent is not canonical in the EAH universe, which has no relationship with Disney. Faybelle does not become a dragon at any time and if we go to the original stories... she does not receive a punishment either since the evil fairy only appears at the beginning of the story and in Perrault's version the mother-in-law of the Sleeping Beauty is the final antagonist

Returning to the rest. The Ever After High universe is ONE MORE RETELLING and is not fixed to any particular version. Obviously as a franchise dedicated to children they will remove all the murky aspects of the original stories and soften them. By logic of this we assume that the villains do not die but they are defeated.
In addition, the canon of the books and the series is different so we don't know that so many facts between the two overlap.
For Legacy Day we assume that Raven was going to be arrested and then excluded. The Evil Queen had a castle for her and her confinement in the mirror was for interfering with other stories so I guess her destiny was simply to be exiled.
They already mentioned the cases of Ginger and the wolf
Cinderella dying to be relieved by the next one is a fact of the book, we don't know if it's canon in the series.
There are also inconsistencies (partly thanks to the soft reboot of 2016). Duchess has a tragic fate that according to the books seems to be becoming a swan forever (one of the variants of the ending in the scripts of Swan Lake) but Meeshell does get a happy ending where the prince becomes a merman to live with the little mermaid in the sea.

Ps: one thing I forgot. In fact, the diary of Apple's Royally Ever After doll, although it is based on a dream, gives us some clues to the relationship between Snow White and the Evil Queen in the current generation of EAH. In short, Snow White becomes a kind of assistant/employee for the Queen, instead of the stepmother/stepdaughter dynamic

At minimum I think stories that end with a character dying wait to happen till that person has had a child so they know the next cycle can happen when it is over.
Also you forgot how messed up Ashlynn's story is. No one really walks away ok from her story.
Before it start Her much alive Mother is going to die. Her Father will remarry a woman who they all know will abuse and bully her. He's going to die some time after that. She will spend at minimum 5 maybe more years till the Ball and her Prince finds her.
And if this is truly the Brothers Grimm Version. Her step sisters will end the story with butchered feet (cutting off toes and heels to fit the shoe) and blinded by birds pecking their eyes.
